Placements: Placements are just fine. Mostly, IT companies visit but a few core companies visit as well. Most of the students are not allowed to sit in all of the placements. If a person gets one job then he or she isn't allowed to sit for further companies. Getting into an IT company is very much given preference by the authorities. Most of the jobs are not quite high paying.

Placements: Frankly speaking, the placements for automobile engineering batch in the core sector is not good at all. Most of my friends who got placed in my department are in the IT Sector. The scenario was same for the senior batch also. The company that visited and pooled for the students of automobile engineering department are TCS, Tech Mahindra, Mahindra & Mahindra, Cognizant, ESSAR Iron & Steel, TATA AIG and Shriram Commercial Vehicle Finance. MCKV Institute of Engineering is an average engineering college with B ratings from some company but well-known for ECE, CSE and especially for Automobile department. MCKV Institute of Engineering is in the middle of one of the most crowded area in Liluah, in Howrah district. There is no chance of expanding the college area, hence it will be limited to whatever it has. No platform for students to experiment in their best labs. My aim was to pursue B.Tech in ECE and get placed in a renowned company from on-campus placements. My rank and my fate got me into MCKVIE. The placements in the college till 2009 was average and I backed myself about cracking one of the companies after 4years. The faculty members were average and just like other private colleges in WB, this one too lacks specific areas. Placements: Our college doesn't provide good placement opportunities. I have not received any placement-related emails. The top recruiting company is Mahindra. Almost 45% of students got placed in our course.

Placements: The college used to provide a huge amount of placements in various companies. But now this college doesn't provide a minimum amount of placements. The dean members are dishonest. Think before taking admission in this college. Placements are not good, and if you want to study for a GATE exam, then this college is good. Students do more strikes in the college for very poor campusing.
