    Q:   Is B.Com at Mess College of Commerce worth the investment?

    A:
    {Source: B.Com students & alumni}

    Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:

    Pros:

    * Good quality of education
    * Well-qualified teaching faculty members
    * Library is good with adequate resources
    * Canteen serves decent food
    * Campus has a good infrastructure, including computer labs and a spacious ground

    Cons:

    * Poor placement record, with few companies visiting the campus
    * Limited internship opportunities
    * Low salary packages (average ranging from INR10,000 to INR15,000)
    * Infrequent events and festivals
    * Limited extracurricular activities
    * Old infrastructure, with some areas needing renovation

    Overall Worthiness:
    While Mess College of Commerce offers good educational quality, its poor placement record and limited career prospects might deter students seeking employment opportunities immediately after graduation. Additionally, the college's outdated infrastructure and limited amenities might not provide the ideal learning environment.

    Considering these factors, we would say that B.Com at Mess College of Commerce might not be entirely worth the investment for those prioritizing employability and career advancement. However, for those interested in pursuing higher education or simply looking for a solid foundation in accounting and finance, the college's strong educational programme could still prove beneficial.

    Review of Mess College of Commerce.
    Placements: There are no placements for students, and no company visits our college for campus interviews. There is a one-time job fair which is held and only one company visited that is ICICI bank. Our college does not have any contact with companies or organisations to provide jobs for students.
    Infrastructure: There is no public Wi-Fi for students and using mobile phones in the classrooms are prohibited. There are computer laboratories in our college but there is a shortage of computers. Classrooms are average it does not have any kind of attraction, and it lacks some basic needs like study tables for students.
    Faculty: Teachers teachings are average. There is a lack of faculty members in the teaching section, and some teachers are newly appointed. They do not have enough experience to interact with students. Semester exams are easy and one can easily crack the exams with the minimum study.
    Other: In this college, because of covid 19, no fest was held in our college during the academic year.

    It is an amazing college, and it has value for money.
    Placements: As per our seniors, placements in our college are average. I am studying in B.Com 1st semester, so I don't have much idea about placements. Salary packages offered for our college alumni are around 2 LPA-3 LPA. The top role offered is an accountant.
    Infrastructure: This college provides hostel and canteen facility to students. Classrooms and library are good. The food provided in the college canteen is delicious. Sports events are conducted every year within the college. Many students will participate in state or district-level sports competitions and win prizes. So the sports facilities are amazing.
    Faculty: Teachers here have a lot of knowledge. They make the subject interesting and easier to understand. Overall, teaching faculty members are amazing. Semester exams are quite difficult, and around 80% of students are able to pass semester exams. Teachers give practical knowledge.

    It is one of the good colleges in our locality.
    Placements: A large number of students are studying Bachelor of commerce in our college. But the campus recruitment is not held here. Any company or any institution does not visit the college to hire any student directly through campus selection in our college. I have no idea about the top roles offered or the salary package offered to students.
    Infrastructure: Our college has a good campus. It has computer labs and vast classrooms, which is quite good. The library is also better than other colleges in our locality. Our college has a canteen which offers students meals and other products at a low price, but if it increases its quality, it will be fine enough. Our college also has a vast ground but has fewer sports equipment, which makes the ground useless.
    Faculty: Teachers in our college are good and well-versed in teaching. They all are the best in their subjects and help students to solve their doubts. They are very helpful and friendly with students. The pass percentage of our college is 90%, which shows the effort of teachers and students.
    Other: I have chosen this course because I am quite attracted to the corporate field and like to manage the business and deal with money. I like to lead people. All other co-curriculum activities were organised before the COVID pandemic, but it has stopped now. So I am a little upset about that.

    This is the best college in Sirsi when compared to other colleges.
    Placements: Most students who want to do B.Com opt for MS College of Commerce. ICICI Bank recently recruited many students from our college. Placements are very low here. Most of the students opt for further studies and no company provides internships while doing B.Com.
    Infrastructure: Library is good and one will find the required book by his need. Textbooks of the syllabus are also given to everyone. The hygienic is maintained in both classrooms and laboratory. Wi-Fi is not available. There are no smart classes. It is an ordinary college providing basic and required information enough for exams.
    Faculty: Teaching faculty members are well enough qualified and students can understand thoroughly. Some may find it difficult, but the course is easy, and students can pass with ease. Subjects options are not given in our batch which is good, but students can opt now. Teachers are student-friendly and help them in clearing their doubts.
    Other: The quality of education is good, but the college is not even conducting a single event or fest or any fun activities. Campus surroundings are nothing but other colleges. Scholarship information is provided properly, and students will get it if they are eligible.

    There is nothing special in this college, just an ordinary college.
    Placements: The average salary ranges from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000. Very few companies visit for recruitment. Udyoga Mela happens once a year where few banks and companies will come for recruiting students but the pay scale will be very low. The recruitment will be mainly based on marks, talent, skills of the students.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. College provides computer laboratories. The library is also good as it provides required books as per students' needs. But the Wi-Fi facility is not available. There are no smart classes also. A canteen facility is available, and food is good.

    Review of Mess College of Commerce.
    Placements: Placements in this college are very poor, mostly big MNCs do not approach our college. Companies which do come are mostly local and they only have a few limited roles with a very low salary package. It's very rare for students to get placed in this college and most who get placed get a very low package in an average local company.
    Infrastructure: The college building is quite old but it's fine for a regular class. The auditorium is quite better than the classrooms. The entire campus isn't that big but it does the job. The library is quite poor for a degree college and the staff in the library is not good. College doesn't even have a common area for students.
    Faculty: This year, due to covid 19, most of the faculty members have left the college. The quality of lectures is not that great in teaching. Academic teaching is poor and most lectures do not bother about the future of the students and even management is very poor.
    Other: I wouldn't suggest this college to anyone who wants to see a proper college life and study along with having the experience of a college. They charge you based on your score but the teaching they provide is worst. The library is quite fine and not enough for a degree-level college. Mostly there are no events in the college as such they haven't even thought of doing freshers day for the new batch in the college this year.
