I am extremely overwhelmed to be a part of the Miranda House college community.
Placements: Our institution takes pride in maintaining a remarkable placement record with an average salary package of 8 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 19 LPA, and in the year placements, this impressive figure reflects the dedication of our college towards student success career, and growth. Companies like Wipro, Uniqlo, and other renowned organisations visit the college for placements. Companies frequently offer roles in management and administrative positions providing students with a platform to showcase their skills and build rewarding careers.
Infrastructure: Miranda House offers smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a modern smart library. The campus and library areas have high-speed Wi-Fi. There are four canteens on campus, which are known for their cleanliness, hygiene, and affordable prices. A dosa is served for Rs. 42, and the food quality is excellent.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, and supportive and maintain an excellent teaching standard by giving attention to each student. They foster a healthy student-teacher relationship. I am pursuing a B.A. in Political Science and Bengali course, as my major, which includes public administration, covering topics relevant to UPSC exams. Semester exams are moderately difficult.
Other: I chose this course because I like to study political science. The best thing about our course is our syllabus and professors. Our college organises events like Onam, Deepavali, and Tempest fests, which are well-known fest.

Satisfied with the faculty.
Placements: I am still studying and I am in the second year, so I do not know well about the placements, but in the fourth year, EL. ED students get unpaid internship opportunities which enhance the resume and help in getting better jobs. Extracurricular societies give good opportunities.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available, a 3-floor library (very spacious), classrooms are well maintained with furniture in good condition. I am not a hostel resident, so I do not know much about it, but I have taken reviews from my friends living in the hostel. The food served is of good quality, and the medical room is in the hostel itself with two nurses. Taekwondo classes are available also.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good. Students learn a lot through this course as it is a versatile course. BEL. ED exams happen annually and everything comes in relevance to the syllabus only. Exams are not that difficult, and the pass percentage in my course is above 30%.
Other: I chose this course as I have an interest in teaching and this is a very useful course for the same. I wish the time period (4 years) could be reduced to 3 years, it will be helpful. Events and fests are amazing as they serve a variety of learning and entertainment.

B.A. in Political Science and Geography - Batch of 2025

Professors beed to be quality ones.
Placements: Placements are available only for the economics courses that too very less. Hardly there are any placements for science or other courses. Neither there are aby workshops or guidance from faculty to appproch the placements. The individual staff council societies however add value to your skill set
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good in the sense of vibe however there is inadequacy of classrooms, benches, no wifi at all . There is no enough infrastructure for the disability section. Hostel facilities deteriorate day by day with the incharges just swaying off their work.
Faculty: Very few teachers are serious un studies or guiding the students. There goes equal internal politics in all the areas of extra curricular among students as well as teachers. Due to NEP everything is so messed up be it curricular or anything. There are strict concerns about attendance preventing students to be active in ecas or outside college activities.
Other: There are no enough support for students pursuing outside courses, or research internships.

Everything is good about this college if you utilize the resources properly.
Placements: Out of all the courses, BAP students get the least placements compared to their size. I personally believe that my course students do get good value placements out of all BAP students. Most of the Marketing and consultant roles were given to these courses.
Infrastructure: I loved the infrastructure of the college. We get space in and around the college. The area where it's built is also very spacious and not like most of the other parts of Delhi. All the comfort and space you get from the college. No one cares about others, so I felt very comfortable in college.
Faculty: Though my 1 and a half years of college were completed online, as far as my experience is concerned, very few lecturers put all their efforts into completing the syllabus. Most of the lecturers are mostly into working on getting the college NIRF Rank 1. But the other few lecturers who teach on a regular basis are very knowledgeable. Most of the syllabus is related to UPSC if someone wants to go into that later.

Advanced infrastructure with good placements, crowd exposure, and affordable hostel.
Placements: Nearly 130 jobs were offered to the students in this course. The highest package was 15.5 LPA and the lowest package was 5 LPA. The average was 7 LPA. The top recruiters were Deloitte, Zee Media, PWC, etc. In addition to it, the highest internship stipend was 50,000.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Miranda House is one of the best. Both, the college and hostel have Wi-Fi, medical facilities, and cleanliness. The canteen and mess provide tasty and affordable meals. The college encourages sports as well as NCC cadets a lot. Most of the classrooms have ACs. Labs are well-equipped with all the needed facilities. The college gives great exposure to the students. The library is full with a diverse variety of books. Miranda House has become the first college to have an NCC section where we can get books related to the nation, patriotism, etc.
Faculty: Miranda House has one of the best faculties of DU. They are well-experienced and knowledgeable professors who follow all the guidelines properly. They are always ready to help the students. Their teaching quality is so good. The course curriculum is relevant. But, the B.A. Programme courses with Economics or Maths as one of the disciplines have higher placements than the rest of the B.A. Programme disciplines. Also, the teaching style of the professors makes the semester exams easy for us. But, it's impossible to cheat during the exam. The college follows the proper curriculum given by the university.
Other: I wanted to pursue 2 subjects in my graduation. That's why I chose the B.A. Programme. The best part of the course is that we get good exposure to two disciplines. The number of subjects that we have needs to be reduced. It creates a burden on the students. Despite this, the college provides a good number of scholarship opportunities to the students. It organizes great fests/events. The campus crowd is fabulous. We are encouraged for the extracurricular activities by the college societies. It has good connectivity in all the means of transportation. It is properly connected with other colleges also.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Botany - Batch of 2026
2.8
3Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
The crowd is great and campus is beautiful.
Placements: 21 lpa is the highest package and 4.5 lpa is the lowest package. Zee Media, Urbanclap, Thomson Reuters, IDBI Federal, Nexus, Tata, Wipro, Amazon, Byju's, etc. are the top recruiters. The number of offers last year was 69 and 51 offers for internships, with stipends ranging from 1500 to 35,000. Botany does not offer high-paying jobs, unlike other courses but we do have scope for research. Internships within the department during summer break are often sought after. Top roles offered are environment consultant, researchers, agricultural biologist educators, etc.
Infrastructure: Campus is green with old red stone architecture; classes are spacious with huge windows overlooking the front lawn. The library is good and facilitated with most of the required books and computers. The canteen, along with Nescafe and PAM Cafe, serves great food, although it gets busy quickly during breaks. The sports complex has courts for basketball, volleyball, and lawn tennis. The sports ground is big enough to host games and activities. The hostel has two rooms for medical help, one on the main campus and another near the hostel. Apart from it, each department has its own first aid box and a stash of some over-the-counter medications. Wi-Fi is provided only for faculty, libraries, and computer labs.
Faculty: The faculty is good, but the way teaching may be old-fashioned (speaking for botany only). The curriculum seems to be ever-evolving, which still needs to improve certain aspects like the distribution of hours assigned to each subject or the sequence in which they must be taught. The college does offer opportunities for externships as well as internships. Seminars are often held to help students navigate career choices, but it may vary considering the course one chooses. Semester exam is moderately difficult; one can score well with little effort, although scoring above average requires hard work.
