While the CAT percentile is a crucial component, it's essential to note that admission criteria may involve other factors such as academic performance, portfolio assessment, and possibly a personal interview.

Prospective students aspiring to join MIT of Design should thoroughly review the official admission guidelines provided by the institute. The institute's emphasis on a 30 percentile cutoff in CAT reflects a balance between evaluating candidates based on their aptitude and ensuring accessibility for a broader spectrum of applicants.

After clearing the CAT the qualified students have the aptitude test that has to be cleared in order to reach the next step that is interview. After clearing interview only the students get the admission into the MIT of design and technology.

A review about MITID from an ex student.
Placements: The college provided limited placements for fashion. The placements were done using CalyxPod, while there were hardly two companies that approached us and none of the students were placed in my batch. While for internships, the college did make an effort to provide us with good companies, but most of us landed our jobs and internships with our own effort.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is pretty good, with good computer labs, an expanding library and different labs and machinery used for fashion, including cad machines. But the Wi-Fi never worked and there was hardly any network inside the campus. The hostel was pretty good, with an in-house salon. But the mess had food with worms in it at one point.
Faculty: The curriculum kept changing and updating each year. But the quality of faculty members reduced as good faculty members started leaving after first year. We had the same 3–4 faculty members teaching us different courses in the last year. While the masterjis were really good, the other faculty members used to disregard our mental and physical health. I was hardly comfortable approaching them, as they favoured very few students over the others and would help them move forward in the course.
Other: The fests, events and other activities were amazing and most of them were organized by students. Campus life is something I miss the most about college.

Great experience tarnished only by egotistical faculty.
Placements: The fashion department had very limited placement options for final-year students and internship opportunities, as the HOD and faculty have little to no contacts in the industry and are unable to provide an organized system regarding jobs. As a result, almost 90% of the students were left to fend for themselves after graduation, applying aimlessly in an already difficult industry. Permanent faculty is supportive and disrespectful; the only hope is to reach out via visiting faculty.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was up to the mark; all meals and amenities are provided within campus, with a strong scope for sports and cultural activities as well. 24*7 medical support and security, there is always someone you can reach out to for help. Industrial-grade workshops with great guidance. There is always room for improvement but the foundation is strong.
Faculty: The visiting faculty was great; there were no complaints. They pushed us, gave excellent feedback and prepared us well for the jury. The permanent faculty was disrespectful, almost never gave us anything critical to work on and simply functioned on a biased statement, putting their students down. I had the misfortune of their mentorship only in the final year and I can confidently say I did not learn a single thing from the feedback they gave me and relied on industry mentors I reached out to on my own.
