A review about MITID from an ex student.

Placements: The college provided limited placements for fashion. The placements were done using CalyxPod, while there were hardly two companies that approached us and none of the students were placed in my batch. While for internships, the college did make an effort to provide us with good companies, but most of us landed our jobs and internships with our own effort.

Great experience tarnished only by egotistical faculty.

Placements: The fashion department had very limited placement options for final-year students and internship opportunities, as the HOD and faculty have little to no contacts in the industry and are unable to provide an organized system regarding jobs. As a result, almost 90% of the students were left to fend for themselves after graduation, applying aimlessly in an already difficult industry. Permanent faculty is supportive and disrespectful; the only hope is to reach out via visiting faculty.

No placements for animation students.

Placements: No placement opportunities are available for animation students. Everyone took admission in the hopes that they'll be industry ready and get placements in good studios/companies and have a decent range of pay. But almost half of my batch is unemployed and rest are doing menial jobs for which they applied on their own. Same goes for internships. Only a very few got good internships and the rest were compelled to do their own projects as internships as the college couldn't work on improving their ...

I am satisfied with the teaching, infrastructure, and placements.

Placements: Although the college has a very good placement team, I didn't require to use it after graduation. I had opted for placements for getting an internship. While interning itself, I got the job offer as well before graduating. It was helpful for others to find jobs through our placement cell.

One the best design schools you can get into.

Placements: The campus placements are really well organised, and well-known companies visit the campus for interviews. The details about the salary offered can be found on the college's website as they update it after every placement. Rest assured, placement is not an issue for this college.

Design life in Maharashtra.

Placements: In Design, the college placements aren't like the rest of the colleges, and in a course like a film and a video, most of the students aim towards an independent career. Here in MIT, the placements for film and video are rarely picked as most of the students start freelance work and build up the connection which ultimately leads them to a job.

The college campus is great. It is green, well-spread and away from the city noise

Placements: The placement of any design student is more based on his/her input towards learning and making use of the opportunities through the span of the course. For my seniors, placements include design studios (mostly out of India, and some of them throughout the country), consumer-durable and electronics ventures, etc. Almost all students get a good enough job to start with their design journey ahead.

Many reputed companies from various industries come for placements like Godrej, Wildcraft, Microsoft, Accenture, etc. Apart from this, many students start their own startups, in which the college helps them through their initial years. This happens through their incubation center called Design Guild. ...
