SOFT CET 2025 exam dates - MKSSS's School of Fashion Technology, Pune will release the important dates for the SOFT CET 2025 exam on its admission portal.
The online application form for SOFT CET 2025 is expected around March 2025.
The SOFT CET 2025 exam for the B.Des program will be conducted in May 2025 (tentative). The exam will include three tests - 1) General Ability Test 2) Studio Test, and 3) Personal Interview + Portfolio Statement of Purpose. All three tests will be conducted in online mode; also the three tests will be conducted on the same day.
The candidate must appear in all the components of the exam.
The result-cum-merit list of SOFT CET 2025 will be released in June 2025.

The SOFT CET exam is conducted by MKSSS's School of Fashion Technology, Pune.

Q: How much time is needed to complete SOFT CET 2025 syllabus?
SOFT CET is a popular design entrance exam. So, the competition is going to be there, though not at the level of a NIFT or NID DAT.
That being said, you will ideally need around 4-5 months to complete the SOFT CET syllabus. Start you preparation, if you haven'r already.

SOFT CET 2025 Application Form: The registration window for the design aptitude test will open in March 2025. To fill out the application form for SOFT CET 2025, candidates are required to visit the official website.
SOFT CET 2025 Admit Card/ Hall Ticket: Once the candidate submits their form successfully, they can visit their CET's account to select a suitable time slot to appear for the examination. The authorities do not issue any such document. However, they do notify the candidate about the date, time, and venue with dos and don'ts for the examination on the email ID provided at the time of registration.
SOFT CET Exam Pattern: The design aptitude test is conducted in online mode for all the programs (UG and PG). Candidates qualifying the entrance exam are then required to appear for the Studio Test followed by a Personal Interview, showcasing the portfolio, and finally give a Statement of Purpose. SOFT CET 2025 Results: The results are released in the form of a merit list. The same is declared on the MKSSS's SOFT official website (www.soft.ac.in). Post declaration, the candidates are required to confirm their interest in taking the admissions within 4 days to MKSSS's SOFT via e-mail to admission@soft.ac.in and CC it to admin@soft.ac.in. Q: Between NID DAT and SOFT CET, which one should I choose?
The NID DAT exam is conducted for admission to the NIDs, which are amongst the top design colleges in the country. As such, NID DAT is amongst the toughest entrance exams in the country. In contrast, SOFT CET is comparatively easier.
So, which exam you decide to take will depend on your priorities and also to some extennt on your abilities. If you feel like your preparation is top level, you can try NID DAT.

The difficulty level of SOFT CET is not at the same level as say a NIFT, NID DAT, or UCEED. So, you don't exactly need to take coaching to prepare for the exam. That being said, if you are finding the syllabus extremly difficult, you may take help from a peer, teacher, or consider taking up coaching.
Also, even if you take coaching, your effort will decide your success.

Q: When will SOFT CET 2025 admit card be released?
MKSSS's School of Fashion Technology, Pune, will conduct the SOFT CET 2025 exam starting sometime in the 4th week of May 2025. The admit card will be released a few days before the exam. The candidate has to download the admit card using theiir candidate credentials.
On the day of the exam, bring your admit card and a valid photo ID proof.
