Candidates appearing for the UCEED exam can go through important exam events for the design entrance exam below.

UCEED Application Form

To fill out the application form for UCEED, aspirants have to register online. Next, they have to duly fill in all the sections in the online application form and then pay the UCEED application fee.

UCEED Admit Card

IIT Bombay released the UCEED admit card 2026 on January 02, 2026. The admit card will contain information like the candidate’s name, roll number, photograph, signature, exam schedule, examination center address, and exam instructions.

On the day of the exam, the candidate has to bring with him or her a valid photo ID proof alongside the UCEED admit card.

UCEED Exam

UCEED paper comprises three sections containing different types of questions, including Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). 

UCEED Result, Scorecard and Rank List

UCEED results are declared on the official website of the exam. Candidates can view their UCEED results by using their registered email ID and password. UCEED Result was declared on March 06, 2026. The scorecard is made available from March 10, 2026.

UCEED Counselling

After securing a valid UCEED rank, aspirants need to further apply for admission at the colleges that are accepting UCEED 2026 ranks/ scores. Thereafter, candidates need to fulfill the admission criteria as listed by their respective colleges. A centralized UCEED seat allocation process will be conducted for admission in participating institutes of the UCEED 2026 exam. 

UCEED Admission List

Three admission lists will be announced by IIT Bombay on the official website of the exam.  

UCEED Round I, Seat allotment for B Des 2026-2027 will be announced on April 21, 2026. The window for payment of seat acceptance fees will open on the same day. Candidates will be given an opportunity to accept their seat, choose either the FREEZE or FLOAT option, and complete payment of the seat acceptance fee.

Candidates must complete their applications for admission to premier institutes, including IIT Bombay (IITB), IIT Delhi (IITD), IIT Guwahati (IITG), IIT Hyderabad (IITH), IIT Indore (IITI), IIT Roorkee (IITR), and IIITDM Jabalpur (IIITDMJ). As part of the registration process, candidate has to fill in their institute preferences and other information.

UCEED 2026 counseling seat allotment will be conducted in five Rounds. The seat allotment will be based on the UCEED 2026 merit rank of the candidate and the institute opted for at the time of admission (and their order of priority).

IIT Bombay will conduct a Joint Seat Allotment Process for UCEED 2026 participating colleges. The B.Des application for admission to participating colleges will open after the UCEED 2026 results.

The step-wise process to fill the UCEED 2026 counseling registration form is given below:

1. Candidates who are assigned a UCEED 2026 merit rank are eligible.
2. Go to the UCEED admission portal - uceed.iitb.ac.in
3. Click on the registration tab to participate in the Joint Seat Allotment process.
4. After logging in, fill in your choices of colleges in the order of preference.
5. Upload any relevant documents.
6. Pay the admission fee.
7. Submit the form and take a printout.

B.Des 2026-2027 Seat Allotment Schedule

The schedule for UCEED 2026 Seat allotment rounds is

On the day of the IIT UCEED Entrance Exam, candidates must take care of the following things.

• The exam time was 9.00 am to 12.00 noon on January 18, 2026.
• Candidates could report at the examination centre from 7:00 am on Sunday on January 18, 2026. 
• There will be biometric attendance at the UCEED exam centre. So be present on time.
• Candidates must bring a valid Admit Card and a Photo Identity Proof to the exam centre.
• The identity of the candidates will be verified by invigilators as well as IIT representatives at the centre.
• Candidates cannot bring any electronic devices such as mobile phones, smart phones, watches of any type, calculators, tablets.
• Candidates must bring their own pencils in a transparent packet. Shades of black colour are permitted. However, sketch pens, color pencils, poster colors and other colouring materials are NOT permitted inside the examination hall.
• Candidates cannot leave the exam hall early. They had to be in hall from 9 AM to 12 PM.

UCEED 2026 exam was conducted on January 18, 2026. The scores of the UCEED 2026 exam will be considered for admission to the B.Des courses offered by the UCEED participating colleges.

UCEED 2026 exam has two parts: 1) The computer-based Part A, which will be 1 hour long and include NAT, MCQ, and MSQ-type questions; 2) Part B will include two subjective-type questions and will be 2 hours long. Note that Part B answer booklets will be evaluated only if the candidate qualifies Part A.

• UCEED 2026 exam is expected to have two parts: 1) Part A, which will be 1 hour long, include objective-type questions, and will be conducted in computer-based mode; 2) Part B will be conducted offline and include a single sketching-based question.
• Mock test will be conducted entirely online. 
• UCEED 2026 mock tests will contain the same types of questions as those asked in the actual exam.
• Mock test may contain fewer questions than those asked in the actual exam; for instance, Part A of UCEED 2026 will have around 57 questions, but the mock test may have 40 questions.

How to take UCEED Mock test using the Sample Interface?

The following steps should be followed to take the UCEED 2026 Mock Tests.

• To take the test, click on the mock test link that is given on the UCEED admission portal.
• Upon logging in, the general guidelines for taking the mock tests will be displayed on the screen. Read the guidelines carefully.
• Accept the terms and conditions, and the test paper for Part A will appear on the screen.
• Part B test will be shown after you complete Part A.
• You can edit all your answer options using the answer tabs; however, if you submit the paper, you can’t make any changes.
• You can keep track of the test by consulting the timepieces that are displayed on the screen. 
• Note that there will be different color palettes (shown on the right side of the screen) indicating the status of the question.
