Worth Pursuing B.A. at Nalbari College?

Here's what students and alumni have to say:

    * Infrastructure: While the college has decent infrastructure, with a good library and some advanced digital classrooms, the wi-fi connectivity is poor.
    * Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, highly qualified, and supportive, making the learning experience positive.
    * Course Curriculum: The curriculum is relevant and prepares students for industry requirements.
    * Placements and Internships: Unfortunately, the college doesn't provide direct placements or internships, which may impact career prospects.
    * Salary Packages: According to one reviewer, the lowest salary package offered to a teacher is INR15,000/month, while institutions offer salaries ranging from INR30,000 to INR45,000/month.

Considering these factors, here's a summary:

While Nalbari College has its strengths, particularly in terms of faculty and infrastructure, the lack of direct placements and internships might negatively impact career prospects. Additionally, the poor wi-fi connectivity could hinder online learning and research. However, students who plan to pursue higher education or certifications might find the college suitable. For those seeking immediate employment or competitive salary packages, exploring other options might be advisable.

Conclusion: Whether or not pursuing B.A. at Nalbari College is worth it depends on individual goals and priorities. While the college offers a good learning environment, it's essential to weigh the pros and cons before making a decision.

I am not satisfied with facilities.
Placements: Students have not got placed in our course. Our college does not provide direct placements after graduation. The lowest salary offered by a private school for a teacher is Rs. 15,000 per month. The lowest salary offered by an institution is around Rs.30,000 - Rs.45,000 per month. Many private schools, medical companies, government companies, etc., visit our college. Our college does not provide direct internships for B.A. and B.Sc courses.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is a bit good. Labs are not advanced. Classrooms are average. Our college has some advanced digital classrooms. The library is very good but can improve. Wi-Fi is not good. The food served in our college is average. Our college provides medical facilities. Sports and games are not much popular and developed.
Faculty: Some teachers try hard and provide us with more information and knowledge. It is not much difficult to pass exams. If you study for 8-10 days, you can pass exams easily.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to prepare for the civil services. This course provides time and knowledge to prepare for civil exams. Our college and government authority should focus on the digitalisation of all classrooms and improve study methods. The semester fee is Rs. 8,000. Many government scholarships are available in our college. Our college conducts many extracurricular activities.

    Good education but poor placements.
Placements: Actually in terms of placements, the scenario is not great. We don't get any placements or offer. Even there is no such programme where students get any opportunities or recruitment. Only the syllabus is being taught and nothing else. Students don't get to participate in internship programme or anything like that.
Infrastructure: The classrooms, library or labs are pretty good and well-equipped. The canteen is good. The college also have a good medical facility. But the infrastructure in sports and games is pretty bad. There are no proper playgrounds or stadiums. But it is noteworthy that the hostel facility is good.
Faculty: The faculty members especially in my department are excellent. The are helpful and highly qualified as well. The teachers are very supportive. They are friendly and always come forward to help or work for the betterment of the students. The course curriculum is relevant and it make the students industry ready as well. Pass percentage is above 85%. .
Other: I chose this course because I like economics. The course can be made more practical. There should be more events in my college. Focus should be made on the campus infrastructure and extracurricular activities. Otherwise the college specially the economics department is good.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: Nearly sixty plus students are placed in our course. I have no idea regarding the highest, the lowest and average package offered in our course. Till now no recruiting companies are there for our course. Nearly 10% students got internship from our course.
Infrastructure: The facilities and the infrastructure available for our course and our department is quite satisfactory. I am not a resident of hostels however I have heard from my classmates that the condition of the hostel is also good. The quality of food available is also good.
Faculty: The faculty members that is our teachers are really helpful. They are also highly qualified. They help us and support us a lot. The teaching quality is good. The semester exams are quiet difficult. However if we study hard we can score high and satisfactory.
Other: I was interested in gaining knowledge on this course.
