About the Board
AHSEC conducts the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examination for class 12 students, every year. The Council prescribes the AHSEC syllabus and exam pattern for Class 12 exams in the state. Assam HS examinations are conducted in two shifts i.e morning shift (9:00 am to 12:00 noon) and afternoon shift (1:30 pm to 4:30 pm) across various test centres in the state.

In 2023, 84.96% of students managed to clear the Assam Board 12th exam. In the Science stream, the pass percentage stood at 84.96% while in commerce, 79.57% of students declared passed.
