NIFT Bhopal offers numerous undergraduate courses, including BDes Fashion Technology and BDes Textile Design. Applicants who want to get admitted to BDes must take the NIFT Entrance Exam and then attend NIFT Entrance Exam Counselling., in accordance with the NIFT Bhopal cutoff 2023. The written tests for the NIFT 2024 exam was held on February 5, 2024. The written tests comprised a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). GAT is mandatory for all candidates, but CAT is only required for B. Des and M. Des candidates. 

The GAT test will be considered in a computer-based mode, whereas the CAT will be offline based. Note that scores of the written exams will be used to shortlist candidates for a Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

Yes, the NIFT entrance exam is mandatory for the admission process. The applicants will be shortlisted for further proceeding of admission based on marks secured in the NIFT Exam i.e., GAT. Students seeking admission in BFTech should only appear for GAT. NIFT examination is a computer-based test which has a duration of 120 minutes, with language preference between English/Hindi. Similar to other NIFT campuses, the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme admissions process at NIFT Hyderabad is based on the NIFT Entrance Exam (GAT and CAT), which is followed by a situation test and personal interview. The number of candidates and overall performance on the entrance exam are among the variables that affect the selection criteria and cutoff scores for admission, which can change from year to year. There is no set minimum score needed to get admitted to NIFT. Instead, a candidate is chosen based on how well they fared on the entrance exam, in a scenario test, and in the personal interview. All these elements are taken into account while creating the final merit list.

The minimum scores needed for the B.Des programme at NIFT Hyderabad vary depending on your category and course preference. The cutoff rank for the B.Des (Fashion Design) programme in 2022 was 3308 for the General category, 3027 for OBC (NCL), 981 for SC, and 3886 for ST.Visit the official NIFT website or get in touch with the admissions department first.

To gain admission to NIFT Hyderabad, candidates must take the NIFT Exam as direct admission is not available. The Institute offers four years of full-time BFTech in Apparel Production. Lateral entry to this course is also available. The admission process for this course includes the General Ability Test (GAT), it is a part of the NIFT Entrance Exam. Moreover, to be eligible for this course, the candidate must be a Class 12 pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or equivalent from a recognized board.

Eligibility criteria for admission to B.Ftech at National Institute of Fashion Technology Hyderabad:

• Passed the plus 2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of  examination from any recognised Central/State Board of  Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary  Education, New Delhi / Council for Indian School of Certificate  Examination, New Delhi with Physics and Mathematics.

Candidates applying for both B.F.Tech & B.Des will take an  entrance examination comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT)  and Creative Ability Test (CAT). For such candidates 2 separate  CMRs will be generated. One for B.Des Programme and one for  B.F.Tech Programme. 

B.F.Tech candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of General  Ability Test (GAT).
