Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for B.Sc. students at Neki Ram Sharma Government College?

    A:
    {Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Success Rate of Placement Cell in Securing Jobs for B.Sc Students

Unfortunately, the placement cell in Neki Ram Sharma Government College does not seem to secure jobs for B.Sc students. According to several students' reviews:

    * "There is no placement cell in this college." (Student)
    * "We don't have placements in our course." (Alumni)
    * "None of the students from our batch got an internship in any company." (Student)
    * "Companies visited here for placements, but placements are not good here, or almost not any placement is provided by this college." (Alumni)

It appears that the college does not have a dedicated placement cell, which may contribute to the lack of job opportunities for its B.Sc graduates. While some students mentioned attending placement fairs, the overall success rate seems to be low, with only around 10% of students getting placed according to one student's review.

Our college is very good and has supportive faculty members and good infrastructure.
Placements: Almost 10% of students got placed in our course. Many students haven't attended placement fairs because they want to go to higher studies or prepare for government jobs. The salary offered for our course ranges between Rs. 20,000-25,000 per month. Our college does not provide internships. We can apply for internships off-campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is very good. All classrooms have touchscreen smart boards. The lecture hall is very good and huge. All hostels are good and affordable.
Faculty: All teachers are very good, talented, and helpful in every aspect. They have knowledge of their subjects. They are NET qualified. The curriculum is the best. If you give yourself time to study from starting, you will get in-depth knowledge which will be very helpful in higher studies and exams like Jam, JEST, etc. The syllabus is very helpful for higher studies. Semester exams are very easy. Exams are conducted for 40 marks. We have to learn 2 units for exams. We will get 8 questions in exams. The pass percentage is 50 marks. The lab teachers explain everything. They are very supportive
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in physics. Some students take admission to this course to get rid of chemistry, and it is easy to pass. Our college organises events and fests many times every year. Our college has NCC and NSS clubs, so you can participate. Many extracurricular activities are held in our college. The campus is good. Very satisfied by this college and teachers.
Placements: No student got placement in college of my class because they didn't have any interest in placements. But on the other hand, students with computer Science subject and Commerce stream have got placements in the companies of their interests. No any student got internship in my class.
Infrastructure: There is a private Wi-Fi network in college. Labs are so classified and well-equipped. Hostel is like heaven. Very Good management by Hostel Committee. Mess food is so good and healthy which is available at very affordable prices i.e. INR 60 per day. Volleyball, basketball and many more sports are there on the college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful to students. As it is very old college and a well reputed college in area, so teachers are well qualified and well experienced. This curriculum is helpful to all the students who are going to take admission in UG courses. Semester exams are so easy to pass if you take classes regularly.

The environment on our campus is awesome.
Placements: There were no placements provided in our college. The pass percentage was good enough in our batch but there were no placements. They just do a formality for placements.
Infrastructure: Facilities & infrastructure like Wi-Fi, labs, classroom, and library are good, and the quality of the facilities in the hostel, quality of mess & canteen need to improve. The hostel buildings & some parts of the teaching classrooms are also having the proper renovation.
Faculty: All the teaching faculty members are very good and very helpful in all kinds of activities. Teaching quality is much impressive. The difficulty level of semester exams in our is good & the pass percentage is above 90. Our course curriculum is relevant & it gives many chances to students to make our future bright.
Other: I chose this course because I love to read physics and the best thing about our course is that it gives many opportunities to take our future at a good height. I wish that college faculty would improve their teaching way by focusing on more practical work than the theoretical portion. College faculty organise a fest and other extracurricular activities from time to time that helps students to show and improve their skills, interests and take their talent out.
