Q:   Is it worth pursuing B.A. at Neki Ram Sharma Government College?

    A:
    {Source: B.A. students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from current and former students, here's what you need to know:

    Pros:

    * Good faculty with a strong focus on teaching and guidance
    * Relevant course curriculum that prepares students for industry-ready roles
    * Opportunities for internships and placements (around 80% of students get placed)
    * Average salary packages ranging from INR4,000 to INR4,500 per month
    * Good infrastructure, including well-maintained classrooms, libraries, and recreational spaces
    * Strong emphasis on extra-curricular activities, such as cultural festivals and sports events
    * Affordable tuition fee as it's a government college

    Cons:

    * Limited resources, particularly in terms of Wi-Fi connectivity and laboratory facilities
    * Poor maintenance of hostel facilities, including bathrooms and living areas
    * Limited opportunities for research and independent projects
    * No dedicated mentorship programme beyond academic guidance
    * Limited scope for electives and specialisation within the course

    Verdict:
While Neki Ram Sharma Government College has its strengths, such as a supportive faculty and relevant course curriculum, it falls short in certain areas, including infrastructure and resource allocation. Students who choose to pursue their B.A. degree here should be prepared for potential challenges outside of class and limited opportunities for innovation and creativity. However, if you're looking for a well-rounded education with a strong foundation in liberal arts, this college might be a good fit. Just remember to weigh the pros and cons carefully before making your decision.

    Really bad infrastructure .
Placements: The placements are not good. Rarely 10 percent of students get college placements. Packages are also not too high. Some recruiting companies are AutoVeer, Tech Mahindra, PNB, MetLife, HDFC Insurance, Niva Bhupa Health, OM Innovation, and Rap Infosystems.
Infrastructure: There are watercoolers in summers that rarely have could water. Washrooms are somehow clean, but only in the new building. In other blocks, washrooms are just bad, especially boys washrooms. College lacks infrastructure; infrastructure really is very poor. Although there are labs in the new building, which are overall good.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful; they listen to you and will try their best to resolve your queries. The course curriculum is very relevant. It makes students industry-ready if they study well. Semester exams in the college are easy to moderate level for me, but anyhow it depends on person to person.

Our college is excellent and I am fully satisfied.
Placements: Students are not placed in our course because it is not an industrial one which is more about the history of literature.
Infrastructure: Facilities are great in our college. The library facility is good. It is an A-grade college in facilities. Food quality is average. Sports and games are awesome. Rooms are a little dirty.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are cooperative. They work hard and are dedicated to their passion for the subject so that students can't feel lectures like a discussion. They guide students during exams. Semester exams are moderate.
Other: I chose this course to study English literature and more about the authors. The study place should be well cleaned. Events are held on time. The campus crowd is average. I like surroundings that consist of trees all over the campus which is the best in summer. NCC camps are provided.

Our college provides good studies with extracurricular activities.
Placements: It is very difficult to get placements because not every student gets a placement. Not even half students get placements. The students who get above 95% have chances to get placement but every student does not have a chance to get placed.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is so poor. There is no Wi-Fi in the hostels and the quality of toilets are so poor. Some of the toilets smell so badly. There are only basketball and volleyball court in the hostels. Medical facilities are not so good.
Faculty: Faculty, curriculum, and exams are good. Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is great. The course curriculum is relevant. It is not so difficult to pass or score good marks in the semester exams.
Other: Everything could be better. The events, fests, campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarship, extracurricular activities, etc. all of these things could be better.

This college is average, and the infrastructure is not good.
Placements: Around 80% of students are placed in our course. The average salary offered varies from Rs 4,000 - Rs 4,500. There are no companies that visit to hire students. As a student of English honors, one may opt for a career as a teacher in the school or a professor in this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is poor. Wi-Fi is there but its range is not there. All types of laboratories are there. Classrooms are shabby. The library is small. Its sitting area is large, but the number of books are not sufficient. I am a day scholar, so I do not know about hostel facilities. The food in the canteen is good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. They are kind to students. Teaching quality is good in our department. As I am studying English honors, I found that it is tough. Students have to give proper time while studying this course.
Other: Many activities take place in our college. Zonal youth fest is organised by our college in December. In this college, students are in more strength. Many exhibitions also take place in this college.
