New Horizon Hosts Sargam 2022: The Rudra Factor

December 20, 2022: With the title "The Rudra Factor"—"the mesmerising vitality and majestic power"—New Horizon Educational Institution's much anticipated state-level cultural festival SARGAM 2022 returned after a two-year hiatus. The event, which was held on November 25 and 26, 2022, at the site of New Horizon College of Engineering, attracted close to 15,000 students from 180 schools, including PUC and degree colleges.

The Mega Event with the theme "TANDAV," which featured incredibly energising and potent dance performances from numerous institutions, was Sargam 2022's main draw. The cosmic dance of Lord Shiva, Tandav, portrayed the cycle of creation and destruction in the cosmos. The lavish costumes and props increased the dances' ferocity.

The mega event TANDAV was won by New Horizon College, Kasturinagar, which received a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000. New Horizon College of Engineering took second place and received a prize of Rs. 50,000, and Christ College Bannerghatta and New Horizon College, Marathalli tied for third place with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 each.

All festival goers were welcome to join free workshops that were both entertaining and educational thanks to Sargam 22! The alumnus  Budhil Vyas, a Data Science engineer, Expert in Crypto, and Rabindra Sah, Chief Engineer at Tata Technologies, presented the session on cryptocurrency. The session taught by Karthik, a master of salsa, and Zuboo, a master of the shuffle.

All of the students from different universities were given the chance to demonstrate their enthusiasm for dancing through Juke Box. On November 25, 2022, DJ Vipul Khurana delighted the gathering.

The month-long planning and preparation building up to the Mega State Level Inter-Collegiate Cultural Fest "Sargam2022" came to a glorious conclusion on the evening of November 26, 2022. All the excitement, thrill, high-spirited energy, and enthusiasm had defined the planning and preparation. Placements: I'm pursuing B.Com in NHC. I've seen good placements. The placement percentage is 90% according to the faculty in New Horizons College. It provides internships. The highest salary package offered is around 3.5 LPA - 4 LPA.

Placements: Only 39% were placed in B.Com. The highest package offered is 1,88,000 and the minimum is 80,000. I am satisfied with the faculty and the staff. Everyone is helpful here.

Placements: 50% of students were placed in my course. The highest package is 7 LPA, the average package is 3.5 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Dell, Wipro, Capgemini, and SAP. Getting an internship is quite hard here because companies want us to know the local language, and it is quite hard for some people, e.g., people who come from different states. Top roles offered are web developer, networking, and licensing.

My college life so far has been great and I love the way everything goes so well.

Placements: 90% students will surely get placed if you have relevant skills. Right now, the highest package was 7-8 LPA from Dell, and from my class, 4 were placed. Dell, TCS, Wipro, Accenture are the top companies which are visiting. And about internships, we have to find it ourselves. Roles basically depend on BCA and can be technical or non-technical as well.

It's been great here in this college.

Placements: There is no placement in this college for the students studying B.Com. Here, the student services have to search for a job after the completion of their course in companies that look for freshers. There is no internship offered to the student studying at the college; the college staff only supports the students to gain a lot of experience in their field of study.
