NICC Entrance Exam 2025 - The National Institute of Creative Communication (NICC) start NICC 2025 application forms soon. The direct link to apply for NICC 2025 will be provided here.

The NICC 2025 admission process will include steps like submission of a portfolio and/or video interviews. Candidates registering successfully for the programs offered by the National Institute of Creative Communication will have to submit their portfolios online. The format of interviews will be communicated to the candidate; note that video calling is one of the modes that may be adopted for the interview. Q:   What is the NICC eligibility criteria for admission to UG courses?

A:

Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent from any stream to apply for a UG level course. It is important that the candidate meet the eligibility criteria for their program. Note that for candidates who don't meet the criteria may be disqualfied at any stage of the admission process.

What is NICC Entrance Exam?

NICC entrance exam is conducted by the National Institute of Creative Communication (NICC) to admit candidates to the integrated design courses offered by the college. Note that candidates who have NID Entrance Exam scores are eligible for direct admission and aren't required to sit in the exam. Q:   What is the application fee for NICC exam?

A:

The application fee for NICC exam is INR 3,000. Candidates can pay the application fee in online mode. Along with the application fee, the candidate needs to ensure that the application form is complete in all respects before submitting it.

Note that if the application fee is not paid, then such applications will be deemed incomplete. And incomplete and incorrectly filled applications are liable to be rejected.

No, the institute has not prescribed any age limit for its UG or PG programme. That being said it is recommended that the candidate carefully goes through the prescribed criteria.

Q:   Is it easy to crack DAT?

A:

DAT entrance exam is considered to be moderate. IN NID DAT, more weightage is given to subjective, drawing related questions. Thus, candidates need to be extremely creative and have a clear understanding of their concepts when appearing for the DAT.

But note that difficulty level can also be subjective, as it may also depend on your level of preparation. For instance, if you prepare well, you may be able to solve even the so-called difficult questions easily.

Q:   When will the NIFT 2025 application form open?

A:

The online application form for NIFT 2025 is OPEN with regular fees from November 22-January 6, 2025.

With late fees, applications will be accepted from Janaury 7-9, 2025.

The application will be available online at niftadmissions.in. The NTA will also release the detailed admission notification, including the eligibility criteria and information brochure.

Candidates who met the precribed eligibility criteria for their programme can fill out the NIFT 2025 application form before the last date.

Note that NIFT application form will be for admission to the B. Des, M.Des B.FTech M.FTech and MFM courses offered by participating colleges.

Q:   When will the NIFT 2025 entrance exam be conducted?

A:

The written tests for the NIFT 2025 exam will be held on February 9, 2025. The detailed schedule has also been released.

The written tests will comprise a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). GAT is mandatory for all candidates, but CAT is only required for B. Des and M. Des candidates. 

The GAT test will be considered in a computer-based mode, whereas the CAT will be offline based. Note that scores of the written exams will be used to shortlist candidates for a Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

NICC Entrance Exam 2025 Application Process

The application form is open for NICC 2025. When filling out the form, ensure that you meet the prescribed eligibility criteria; otherwise, the application may be canceled.

Also, don't use incorrect or misleading information, as all details will be checked at the time of counseling and seat allotment.

Candidates can go through the steps they need to follow when applying the exam:

Step 1: Fill NICC Entrance Exam Application Form Online

For NICC admissions, candidates first need to fill the NICC entrance exam application form online by clicking on 'Apply Now'. Candidates should ensure that all required fields of the form are correctly and fully entered. After that candidates will immediately be taken to a page that confirms that their application has been sent. They will also be given a link on the confirmation page to download the full Application Form. They may also receive a call from the NICC Admissions Officer and the admission officer will guide them as to the next step.

Step 2: Fill the detailed form and pay the application fee

Candidates will have to fill the detailed application form and pay the application fee in online mode. The application fee is INR 3,000

Note: Candidates who wish to apply for more than one course need to fill separate application form for each course.

Step 3: Fill NICC Letter of Intent

Next, candidates need to draft the NICC Letter of Intent (LOI). This is a mandatory document that needs to be filled out by each aspirant, irrespective of the course for which he/she has applied. An LOI can be drafted by including the below-mentioned information:

• Reason for joining the programme

• Reason for joining NICC

• Profession a candidate wishes to join after completing a course from NICC

• If a candidate wishes to study further, which course would he/ she join and in which college

• Reason for pursuing a creative stream

• Strengths a candidate posseses that are relevant to his/ her programme of choice

• Any award won by a candidate related to the course he/ she is applying for

It may be noted that an LOI needs to be filled in a candidate’s own handwriting and undersigned by parent/ guardian.

Once the LOI is filled, candidates need to submit it along with the NICC entrance exam application form.

NICC Entrance Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can go through the eligibility criteria for NICC entrance exam for each course below:

NICC Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses: All candidates who have passed Class XII or equivalent from any stream are eligible to apply for NICC entrance exam for admission in integrated UG design programmes.

NICC Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses: The eligibility criteria for NICC entrance exam is different for different postgraduate combination design courses offered at the National Institute of Creative Communication (NICC). The NICC entrance exam eligibility criteria for admission in PG design courses are given below:

Q:   When do I need to start my preparation for NIFT 2025 exam?

A:

The NIFT exam is among the competitive and is also considered among the toughest. So, it is recommended that the candidate starts their exam preparation well in advance, say with around 1 years time in hand. Note that the NIFT exam has various components like written exam and Situation Test /Personal Interview. Candidates seeking admission to the B. Des and M.Des courses need to prepare for both the CAT and GAT. The CAT is a drawing-based exam, meaning the candidate will be evaluated on parameters like intuitive ability, power of observation in concept development, and design ability. Now unless the candidate is already well-versed, developing these skills will take time. So, it is prudent to start early. The same goes for the GAT.

Q:   When will the application forms for NID 2025 be released?

A:

NID application form 2025 opened on September 3, 2024. The application form is open online at the NID admission portal -admissions.nid.edu. Candidates who meet the program-specific eligibility criteria may apply before the last date.

The NID application form is for admission to the B. Des and M.Des courses offered by participating colleges. 

The last date to apply for NID DAT 2025 is December 6, 2024 (extended from December 3). The candidate can also edit the submitted application from December 4-9, 2024.

The NID DAT 2025 (Prelims) exam will be conducted on January 5, 2025.

Q:   When will the NID DAT 2025 Prelims exam be conducted?

A:

The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the DAT Prelims exam on January 5, 2025.

The B.Des exam will be held from 10 am - 1 pm; meanwhile, the M.Des exam will be held from 10 am - 12.30 am.

The DAT Prelims for the B.Des programme will be conducted in a paper-and-pencil/pen mode. The question paper may  incude both textual and visual questions. Other details like duration of the exam, marking scheme, etc. will be published in the DAT Prelims admit card.

The candidate needs to report for the exam at 8 am. Gates closing time is 9.30 am. 

The DAT Prelims exam for the M.Des programme will be conducted offline and include a mix of objective and subjective questions. The paper will have a total of 100 questions.

NICC Entrance Exam 2025 Admission Process

Candidates seeking admission to the National Institute of Creative Communication have to follow the process described below:

Step 1: Fill in the NICC application form

Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria for their chosen program must register and fill in the NICC application form, including payment of the application fees. Admit cards will be issued to successfully registered candidates.

Step 1: Appear for NICC Entrance Exam

Admissions will be given based on portfolios submitted and/or video interviews. Portfolio submission will be online and the interviews will also be conducted online via video-calling. The details of the interview such as the timings and how to carry out the video call will be communicated to candidates by the admissions officer.

Step 2: Check NICC Results

Selected candidates will be informed by phone and email they provided at the time of registration. At this time, candidates will be required to confirm admission by payment of INR.20,000/- by online transfer to NICC. Bank account details will be given in the confirmation e-mail. This payment will 'lock' the seat for selected candidate.

 

Q:   Who can participate in the WWI Personal Interview?

A:

Candidates who qualify in the WWI 2025 written exam will next have to appear in a Personal Interview. The list of eligible candidates will be publised on the admission portal.

Note that is mandatory for the candidate to appear in all the stages of the WWI entrance exam. Or else the candidate will not be included in the merit list.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for UCEED 2025?

A:

To appear in the UCEED 2025 exam, the candidate needs to meet the following criteria:

  • Age limit: The candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2000. In the case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, there is a relaxation of 5 years.

  • Number of attempts - A candidate is allowed to appear in UCEED exam for a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years.

  • Academic requirements - The candidate must have passed 10+2 exam in 2024. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam in the exam year may also apply. Also, note that students from all streams are eligible for UCEED 2025.

Q:   What is the application fee for UCEED 2025 exam?

A:

The application form for UCEED 2025 has opened. As per the official notification, the application fee has been revised.

Here we provide the category-wise UCEED application fee.

  • Female candidates (all categories) and SC/ST/PwD candidates had to pay INR 2,000.
  • All other candidates needed to pay INR 4,000 as the application fee.

Mode of fee payment

The fee has to be paid online using credit card/ debit card/ internet banking. Note that the UCEED application fee is no-refundable. This means, once the fee is paid, it will not be refunded whether you appear in the UCEED 2025 exam or not.

The application form for UCEED 2025 is now closed.

The last date to apply with regular fee was October 31; with late fees, applications were accepted till November 18, 2024.

IIT Bombay opened the application form for UCEED 2025 on October 1, 2024.  It also launched a new website and released the admission notification.

NICC Exam Pattern

The NICC entrance exam pattern is such that the test is divided into THREE sections- NICC Aptitude Test, Interview, and Portfolio Evaluation.
