A college that gives you a memorable learning experience and a wonderful campus life.
Placements: Only about 30% of students were placed. Of these, some joined as guest lecturers in various colleges. Some did B.Ed and got placed in schools. We have no chance of doing an internship. Top roles offered would be limited to only being permanent lecturer posts in colleges or research, after aquiring NET or JRF. Other possibilities would be school teachers, medical transcription and coding.
Infrastructure: Our department is equipped with a good laboratory, with modern equipments. Our classrooms are ICT enabled, spacious and conducive for learning. However, we do not have a separate library for our department, nor Wi-Fi connectivity. We have two college hostels which are fairly good with enough facilities, quality of food is good. Hygienic canteen and surroundings. Medical facilities are efficient. Our college gives utmost importance to sports and games.
Faculty: Our teachers are eminent resource persons, highly qualified, very knowledgeable, creative and very supportive. They ensured the best teaching quality. We have one of the finest curriculum, which is apt for those aspiring to qualify CSIR NET exam. We cover the most relevant topics, that equip students for the outside world.
Other: I chose this course out of love for the subject. The best things about the course are the interesting practical works, knowledge about the subject that can be related to ourselves. However, we wish our course could provide us with internship programs, which would better help students get placed in various institutions or companies. The college is itself very vibrant, with a beautiful campus, and giving students opportunities to explore their talents through fests and other cultural activities. Reinforcements in the form of scholarships and other endowment awards are also given to students.
