Short into - NIT Agartala.
Placements: Many companies visit this college during an academic year. In my branch, the maximum salary package offered is 19 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4.5 LPA, and the median salary package offered is 7 LPA. The companies are from MNC categories like banking firms, analyst firms, and some of the Big 4. Students get the role of graduate engineering trainee and some get the role of data analyst and SDE.
Infrastructure: Different types of laboratories are there on our campus including laboratories for transportation engineering, structural engineering, water resource engineering, geotechnical engineering, and environment engineering. The classrooms are Wi-Fi enabled and projectors are available 24X7. The hostel facilities are also good and it provides tasty food.
Faculty: The curriculum is of 122 credit which is spread over 8 semester exams. The course is good and they teach us what is needed to be a good engineer. They conduct two exams per semester, one mid-semester which is of 20 marks, and one end-semester is of 50 marks. The rest 30 marks are internal-based marks which are given based on attendance, class tests, and quizzes.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2025

Best review for Civil Branch in NITA.
Placements: This year (2024), till December, almost 50-60 percent of students from civil engineering got placed in different companies like L&T and many other core companies. Packages offered from the companies were from 4 LPA to 8 LPA. Internships were offered in different government agencies, and many field works were also done. Almost all of the students got at least one internship.
Infrastructure: The civil building is one of the oldest buildings in the college and therefore has some of the best facilities on the campus. Starting from the biggest classrooms to the biggest toilets of all the branches, the civil building comprises projectors in each room. Hostel condition is moderate to good as RNT Hostel is new and has all the facilities required for the students. Mess food is not that good.
Faculty: Teachers are very good except one or two teachers from the civil branch. Teaching is pretty good, and they make us enough prepared for industry. Exams of civil are a little bit harder as the subjects are mainly numerical-based. Some of the teachers even give back for not having proper attendance in class.

Integrated B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Engineering Physics - Batch of 2028
3.2

Dissatisfied because of high fees and low return of investment.
Placements: Basically, Engineering physics is a research-oriented branch which includes Electronics and Applied physics in the curriculum. Most of the students from this branch go for higher studies and few got placed in IT sector. Almost 40% of students got placed last year. The highest package, according to my knowledge, was 19 LPA. Lowest is 3 LPA. Average is 5 LPA. Students got internships in ATC, research institutes, and other NITs and IITs. Roles offered are astronomy, nuclear science, rocket science, nanotechnology, etc.
Infrastructure: For whole institute, infrastructure is okay. In my branch, the infrastructure is not up to the satisfactory level. Lab equipments is old and outdated, as are other institutions. Wifi is good enough and there is no complaint about classroom and library. Mess food is as usual; canteens are there outside of the hostels. The medical facility is too poor. Sports and games facilities are good enough.
Faculty: Faculty members are as usual nothing special. Teaching quality differs from teacher to teacher but at the end, YouTube is everyone's last option. Answering the second question: I don't think so. Some contents are irrelevant. Semester exams are not so hard. 80% of students do not have any backlogs and pass.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have an interest in it. The best thing is there is less academic pressure in the course so you can utilize your time in developing some skills. Curriculum should be improved. Majorly one tech fest and one cultural fest are there, including dandiya night and many more. Connectivity is average because the campus is surrounded by forest area. No issues with scholarships. Different clubs are there for dance, singing, acting, fine arts, coders club, robotics club, civil services club, automobile club, etc.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering - Batch of 2027

Absolutely satisfied by all means, including good placements every year and good infrastructure.
Placements: Around 93% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 38.8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top companies are Texas Instruments, HPCL, Samsung, and PhonePe. More than 80% of students secured internships in a companies like ONGC, IOCL, ISRO, DRDO, and NRL. Top roles offered are ASIC and Digital Designer.
Infrastructure: Our college provide free Wi-Fi, well-maintained labs with sufficient technical infrastructure, and furnished non-air conditioning classrooms. There is a dedicated section for EIE depth. There are books in the central library of NIT Agartala. Hostel facilities include free Wi-Fi, sanitized washrooms, and relatively good quality food in the mess compared to other colleges. Numerous food and stationary kiosks are available across the campus. There is a dedicated hospital and sports complex inside the campus. Facilities like gym, basketball, badminton, cricket, football, hockey, handball, yoga, etc., are also available.
Faculty: Teachers are strict but helpful. All technical faculty members holding Ph.D. qualifications from top IITs. Some have even served as scientists in various establishments across the country. They are adequately knowledgeable in their respective fields, thus, pushing the students at the highest of technical excellence. Course curriculum is relevant and makes students to be industry-ready. Semester exams get a major portion of questions from GATE previous year papers, making the level of the exam hard. Pass percentage is more than 90%.
Other: Course is maximum relevant with qualities demanded by industries. College organizes various events, including lectures by guest speakers and celebrations of festivals. The annual cultural and technical fests are conducted separately. College crowd is around 4000 students in total at a time including from all departments, M. Tech, and Ph.D. scholars. Local transport is available at any time. Campus surroundings are lush and green with good air quality. Beautiful scenery can be experienced here. Students can avail of various government and non-government scholarships. There is a dedicated scholarship section in the institute. College provides extracurricular activities, various clubs, and sports facilities.

The college is worth it for placement in circuital branches.
Placements: I am a first-year student at NIT Agartala. In the year 2024, placements in the electronics and instrumentation branch were 98% and majorly other states students are included. The average salary package offered was 12 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 40 LPA, and the lowest package salary package offered was 8 LPA. Top companies like Oracle, Google, Wipro, etc., visit the college for placements. The schedule of the EIE course is hectic but worth it.
Infrastructure: While improving, certain aspects of infrastructure still need further development. The humid climate might take time for non-local students to adapt to.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, but some faculty members are very strict about academics. Teachers are well-qualified. Their way of explaining concepts is amazing, but some are not so interested. Exams are difficult. In the Maths subject, about 20% of students get backlogs in semester exams. Our college is totally worth it, and I suggest students take admission to it.
Other: In this college, the best thing is the campus life and location.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2020
3.4

The lesser known facts about NIT Agartala.
Placements: I'm from the batch of 2020-24 pursuing mechanical engineering. About 60-65% students were placed out of 112 students from my batch. The highest package was about 19 LPA, the lowest package was 2.5-3 LPA with an average package LPA of around 5.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our course are Suzuki motors, Tata power, Maruti suzuki, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is very beautiful. Almost every classroom is a smart classroom. Every student was given free 1GB worth of data through Wi-Fi. The labs are pretty great. The hostels of our college are pretty nice. The bathrooms are cleaned regularly. The rooms have enough space for 2. 1st and 2nd year students have to share the room with another student. There is a separate vegetarian canteen along with a mess. The sports complex is huge.
Faculty: The teachers are neither too good nor too bad. Some of the teachers are well qualified but most of them are average in terms of knowledge and lack teaching skills. The course is relevant enough and follows a syllabus similar as that of IITs. There are 2 exams in each semester including one mid term and one end term which are decently tough. Every candidate should score 40 out of 100 in every subject. The 100 marks are including semester exams and internals..
Other: I personally chose this course because I have a keen interest in the Mechanical field. The best thing about my course is that we have the best labs in terms of size and equipments as compared to other branches. Most importantly, the college campus is huge and filled with greenery.
