The college will not give a very good help in the placement, but many companies come, and placement can be only taken by means of yourself.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2025

Good and Great. The campus is simply pleasant and so is the life.
Placements: Placements this year are quite average. Many companies are hiring less than 5 students, and companies do not feel like hiring due to the recession. The highest salary package offered up till now is 32 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Our branch placement percentage is good for now. We are expecting a few more companies.
Infrastructure: Our college has free 2 GB of data for every student. Coming to the department it's very structured and good in infrastructure. All facilities right from classrooms to labs are available. Hostels are also very pleasant and user-friendly. But one disadvantage with the girl's hostel is there's no lift and we have an intime of 7:30 pm.
Faculty: Faculty members are friendly and always welcoming if we have any thoughts on the topics. There's no burden given to students in terms of placements, academics, labs, assignments, and so on. The teaching quality is good and up to standards. Course content is very relevant to the industry levels.
Other: I like the biggest cultural fest Moksha, held for three days, and the technical fest called Aayam. The college days are really enjoyable, with night hillouts, sports, games, competitions, parties, and so on. Overall we can explore a lot.

B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2027
3.4

Great infrastructure, bad faculty, and food.
Placements: Almost 60% of students get placed throughout the end semester, and after some time, the percentage increases but not 100% nowadays. The highest package that was offered last year was 16 LPA, and this year placements are ongoing, but till now 12 LPA was the highest in the core sector. For chemicals, there are big and major companies that come like Asian Paints, MRF, Tata Chemicals, Reliance, L&T, etc. Almost everyone gets an internship in the third year, but if you want to do an internship before that, you can try off-campus for certificates and experience.
Infrastructure: As for facilities, we have enough classrooms for a strength of 70 students. We even have our own building for the chemical department, but we don’t know why our department is not using that building; it's just standing there. Wi-Fi is available in buildings and hostels, but it depends on if the connection is reaching there or not. Basically, the Wi-Fi service is bad, and you also only get 2 GB for the day. The library is very good and big, and there are tons of books on different subjects. The hostel rooms are very small for 2 people to live in; you will get a single table to study for 2 students, and the bathrooms and toilets are average at most. The food is really an issue, as it is totally not up to the standards it should be. Sometimes the food seems unsuitable for consumption. For medical facilities, we do have one small hospital, but they are not to be trusted blindly, as they sometimes give wrong and expired medications. Our sports complex is very good and big; most of the facilities are available there, apart from the swimming pool, which is still under construction.
Faculty: Not all the teachers were helpful and friendly, but some were pretty ill-mannered. Maybe they are knowledgeable, but one's knowledge cannot teach them about manners. The course curriculum is not that much relevant; we get some topics, but they are still taught very slightly. The end semester is comparatively harder than the mid-semester, as the syllabus is vast and time is also very less. For passing, you have to score a total of 40 marks out of 100 by taking internal marks as well.
Other: I chose this course for the vast variety of industries which depend on chemical engineering, and I thought of it as a vast scope in career. I wished they would rather teach us practical knowledge about the components and machinery in industries rather than just theory. Regarding events, we have our cultural fest MOKSHA, which happens in the month of January or February, and with that, we have many more events tech fests, and hackathons.

Integrated B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Engineering Physics - Batch of 2028
3.2

Dissatisfied because of high fees and low return of investment.
Placements: Basically, Engineering physics is a research-oriented branch which includes Electronics and Applied physics in the curriculum. Most of the students from this branch go for higher studies and few got placed in IT sector. Almost 40% of students got placed last year. The highest package, according to my knowledge, was 19 LPA. Lowest is 3 LPA. Average is 5 LPA. Students got internships in ATC, research institutes, and other NITs and IITs. Roles offered are astronomy, nuclear science, rocket science, nanotechnology, etc.
Infrastructure: For whole institute, infrastructure is okay. In my branch, the infrastructure is not up to the satisfactory level. Lab equipments is old and outdated, as are other institutions. Wifi is good enough and there is no complaint about classroom and library. Mess food is as usual; canteens are there outside of the hostels. The medical facility is too poor. Sports and games facilities are good enough.
Faculty: Faculty members are as usual nothing special. Teaching quality differs from teacher to teacher but at the end, YouTube is everyone's last option. Answering the second question: I don't think so. Some contents are irrelevant. Semester exams are not so hard. 80% of students do not have any backlogs and pass.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have an interest in it. The best thing is there is less academic pressure in the course so you can utilize your time in developing some skills. Curriculum should be improved. Majorly one tech fest and one cultural fest are there, including dandiya night and many more. Connectivity is average because the campus is surrounded by forest area. No issues with scholarships. Different clubs are there for dance, singing, acting, fine arts, coders club, robotics club, civil services club, automobile club, etc.

Overall a good college as it is an NIT.
Placements: As my branch is mechanical engineering, the placement here is quite good, as nearly everyone got placed in big companies. Precisely 90% were placed. The average package is around 9 lacs, which is quite good for a core branch like mechanical engineering, and the highest package here was 19 lacs per annum in mechanical engineering; overall, it was 52 lacs.
Infrastructure: The hostel is the best part of this college, as both hostels here are very good. Both the RNT and the Aryabhatta hostels have good infrastructure. Overall, the infrastructure of the college is good, but the first-year classrooms are not that good; they are just like school classrooms. The mess food in the first year is very bad, but from the second year, you have many options for mess food.
Faculty: The faculty is not that good in our college, except for some professors who are very good. Some professors don't know how to teach students, especially in the first year, but some are good. You have to prepare yourself for the exams using YouTube, and seniors here are very helpful and will guide you.
Other: The overall life here is very good on campus, but its distance from the city is a con. However, the people and friends here are very good, and we just enjoy all day and night, as there are no restrictions for the boys at night. The annual cultural fest here is Moksha. All the clubs are quite active, such as Malhar, Dzire, E-Cell, and NLC.

Review of NIT Agartala student.
Placements: 90% students get placed in top companies. The highest package is offered to this course was at least 18 Lacs per year. The top recruiting companies in India want to hire the students here. More than 80 percent of students got internships in very good companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in my course was very good Wi-Fi labs and Library on are available. The quality of food made in my college canteen was very tasty and student mostly like canteen food. Medical is also present. Sports and games facility also present.
Faculty: The teachers in my college was very helpful and all are very knowledgeable. They have good teaching qualities and the course curriculum is relevant.
Other: The best thing about course is that we have lot of computer practical knowledge. There is nothing to improve in this course. The college also provides scholarships.

The lesser known facts about NIT Agartala.
Placements: I'm from the batch of 2020-24 pursuing mechanical engineering. About 60-65% students were placed out of 112 students from my batch. The highest package was about 19 LPA, the lowest package was 2.5-3 LPA with an average package LPA of around 5.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our course are Suzuki motors, Tata power, Maruti suzuki, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is very beautiful. Almost every classroom is a smart classroom. Every student was given free 1GB worth of data through Wi-Fi. The labs are pretty great. The hostels of our college are pretty nice. The bathrooms are cleaned regularly. The rooms have enough space for 2. 1st and 2nd year students have to share the room with another student. There is a separate vegetarian canteen along with a mess. The sports complex is huge.
Faculty: The teachers are neither too good nor too bad. Some of the teachers are well qualified but most of them are average in terms of knowledge and lack teaching skills. The course is relevant enough and follows a syllabus similar as that of IITs. There are 2 exams in each semester including one mid term and one end term which are decently tough. Every candidate should score 40 out of 100 in every subject. The 100 marks are including semester exams and internals..
Other: I personally chose this course because I have a keen interest in the Mechanical field. The best thing about my course is that we have the best labs in terms of size and equipments as compared to other branches. Most importantly, the college campus is huge and filled with greenery.
