B.Sc. in Finance - Batch of 2023

It has excellent faculty members, but there is no ambitious crowd.
Placements: The college has a placement cell that looks after providing internships to students. Joining a summer internship is mandatory in the course curriculum in the second year. Top recruiting companies like Tata Capital and Bajaj Finance hire students with the average salary package. Most of the B.Sc finance students went to do banking internships. The course prepares students for CFA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is well-built with canteen, auditorium and air-conditioned classrooms. It has a library but lacks a proper playground facility. The college also provides Coursera and Bloomberg memberships. There is less participation in college amongst students relating to competitions. The college focuses only on education.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are excellent. They have good industry experience from companies likes TCS and GE. They teach the concepts deeply. The course curriculum is completely according to the latest financial knowledge like corporate finance, financial modelling, etc. Semester exams are tough. The pass percentage is 50%.
Other: The college has 10 clubs and societies. It organises a fest once a year. The course is completely practical and teaches you relevant stuff. I will like more stress on experience rather than running for marks in college.

Satisfied with faculty but administration needs to be improved.
Placements: Our placement cell is very helpful as they review and help us build our CVs along with the adequate skills to crack an interview. Since we haven't got any 3rd year students as of now I cannot comment on the placements for jobs but internship placements for the 2nd year students was great as all students have to have at least one internship during the period between the 2nd and 3rd year of college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great. Each classroom has spacious tables made in step manner giving ideal visibility of the professor and the teaching board from all angles. The classrooms are equipped with ACs along with mics and projectors as well as soft boards for better display. There are group work rooms as well which can be used to get work after hours. The computer labs and library are also maintained very well.
Faculty: The course curriculum is competitive to any foriegn University one can name. The course outline focuses on the industry requirements and give us more of practical knowledge but does not discount out the theoretical parts completely. Our faculty is mostly made up of experienced professionals and people with either great work experience in their fields or with great knowledge about their subject. All in all, the faculty is very capable along with being very friendly.
Other: The campus crowd is very energetic on most days and participates in all sorts of activities. There are committees to handle all sorts of activities in college.

Satisfied with the curriculum but not to satisfied with placements.
Placements: The placements for summer internships happened this year. As our's is the first batch placements are yet to happen the coming year. For the summer internships companies nearby the college came not any big names, most of the batch opted out of it as they got better opportunities to intern on their own.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are fully equipped with AC and Projectors. Wi-Fi is there in campus. Games like table tennis, volleyball, carrom are there. The hostel's are not too good as rooms are very small and that to in sharing, most of my batchmates moved to flats neat the college.
Faculty: The course and faculty are great. The course is mapped with Industry requirements. Incase planning for CFA the best course for laying foundation for that. Subjects like Corporate Finance, Debt Markets and Alternative Investments are there which I think is nowhere taught in an undergraduate course, specialised faculty for courses are there. Student to faculty ratio is 30:1. Projects are given each semester each subject so you learn the application of subject.

B.Sc. Economics in NMIMS Bangalore, high level of mathematics.
Placements: NMIMS, Mumbai has one of the best placements across the country which makes it the top management institution for undergraduate level, placements in Goldman Sachs, and banking institutions are common in here. The internships during the summer breaks are also provided.
Infrastructure: The campus is situated on the outskirts of the city. The classrooms and IT labs have all the utilities, and the campus is huge and beautiful. It has a five-star interior with a proper Wi-Fi facility, and the hostel services are also above average. The food might be an issue, but it is fairly okay.
Faculty: B.Sc. economics is the flagship course of NMIMS, the highly diversified curriculum focuses on practicality, high-level mathematics and the teachers are well qualified. If you want to enjoy your college life, this course is not the right direction for you, if you plan to come here.
