October 15, 2024: SVKM's NMIMS, a leading institute in Higher Education with its main campus in Mumbai and nine other off-campuses, has announced its tenth off-campus in the vibrant city of Nagpur. The state-of-the-art infrastructure campus in the city marks a significant milestone in the university's expansion and commitment to educational excellence.
The ceremonial Bhoomi Pujan took place on October 9 in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the Chief Guest Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways; Guest of Honour Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra; and Shri Amrishbhai Patel, Hon'ble President and Trustee of SVKM and Chancellor of NMIMS University along with other special invitees from the Government of Maharashtra.
NMIMS University has always been at the forefront of providing its students with quality education and state-of-the-art facilities. The premium institute has further supported the vision of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) in developing an international standard university at Nagpur that will offer education from nursery to multi-disciplinary higher education courses. The launch of the Nagpur off-campus will not only stop the migration of students from the region but will create many job opportunities.
The new facility would be on a sprawling 45-acre plot. It aims to serve 3,000 students within five years of commencement, offering diverse academic programs from KG to PG. It will house several schools, including Management, Engineering, Commerce and Economics, Law, Pharmacy, Humanities, Architecture, and Hospitality Management. Additionally, it will offer IGCSE/IB and CBSE curriculum options, catering to a wide range of educational needs.

NMIMS Indore SBM Celebrates Grand Convocation 2024 Amid Milestones and Achievements
April 29, 2024: SVKM’s NMIMS Indore School of Business Management (SBM) proudly hosted its 6th convocation ceremony on April 15, 2024, commemorating the graduation of 132 MBA students. Subhash S. Mundra, Former Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, alongside Akhilesh Rathi, Nominee of the Hon’ble Chancellor, SVKM’S NMIMS, who presided over the event. The ceremony commenced with a vibrant academic procession led by a lively band, followed by the lighting of the lamp and invocation, setting an auspicious tone. As Rathi declared the convocation 'open', dignitaries were honored with mementos as tokens of appreciation.
Dr Meena Chintamaneni delivered a warm welcome address, followed by Rathi conferring degrees to the graduating students. Dr Anshuman Jaswal presented an overview of the SBM batch of 2022-2024, emphasizing their achievements, including a commendable gender ratio and notable internship and placement records. NMIMS Indore Organises the National Conference on Digital Public Infrastructure & Sustainable Development
March 21, 2024: On March 15 and 16, 2024, the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), a branch of the Indian government, and SVKM's NMIMS Indore jointly hosted the National Conference on Digital Infrastructure and Sustainable Development (DPISD-2024). During the two-day national conference, there were intelligent conversations about sustainability and technology.
Renowned academic figures were present at the meeting. Dr. Vinay Kandpal, an associate professor of power electronics at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology in Nagpur, Dr. Pradyuman Chaturvedi, an associate professor of marketing at Graphic Era, Dr. Manish Kumar, a distinguished professor of the faculty of excellence at Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico, and Dr. Ramendra Singh, a professor of marketing at the Indian Institute of Management in Kolkata, were the keynote speakers at the event.
Following the opening ceremony, participants eagerly gathered to hear prominent speakers discuss important facets of public-private partnerships and emphasize the necessity of shifting toward sustainable capacity-building projects. The lectures went beyond theory as distinguished presenters shed light on the useful advancements in digitalization. They changed the learning environment by sharing their knowledge on security and data governance. March 15, 2024: Indore The fourth annual festival, NMOTSAV'24, was held on the campus of NMIMS Indore from February 26 to 28, 2024. Every year, the campus's "SANGAM" cultural group organises the annual festival. Amaal Mallik, a young and well-known artist, thrilled the crowd with his hit songs during the grand conclusion of the three-day extravaganza, which was packed with thrilling competitions and events. NMOTSAV'24, which skillfully combined entertainment and instruction, was an enormous success. Everyone who attended the event gained new insights and was able to celebrate the lively culture of NMIMS Indore.
One of the festival's attractions was the funfair that opened on February 26 and included thrilling activities including Melody Mania, Hawkins Hunt, Pitch It Up, Daredevil Dash, Music Kingdom, Movie Night and Foodpreneur. College students displayed their culinary skills in Foodpreneur. They changed into short-term business owners and ran food stands with delicious meals that drew hungry patrons. January 5, 2024: SVKM’s NMIMS Indore, School of Technology Management and Engineering (STME), recently organized a National Level Workshop focused on "Grant Writing, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), and Publication Strategy." The workshop aimed to provide valuable insights into key areas of academia, including exploring research grant opportunities, enhancing grant proposal writing skills, managing Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) related to research outputs, and adopting effective publication strategies for increased research visibility.
Featuring speakers from diverse backgrounds, the workshop offered a comprehensive perspective on various research methodologies and their overall impact. During the Grand Finale round of the 'Smart India Hackathon 2023,' a team of six students from SVKM’s NMIMS School of Technology, Management and Engineering (STME) Indore addressed the escalating issue of unorganized parking in major urban centers. Their innovative application, 'iPark,' incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Vision (CV) technologies, enables live tracking and detection of illegal parking by traffic regulators. The team, consisting of Sam Varghese, Nishtha Pandya, Suhani Khandelwal, Priyansh Chhablani, Arohi Jain, and Shalom Ram, presented a fully functional prototype, securing victory in the national-level competition.
Participating in the All-India Council for Technical Education’s (AICTE) event, the team was among the top 5 selected for the Grand Finale. The esteemed judges, including Product Managers from Wipro and owners of US-based startups, evaluated the projects. The STME team, mentored by Prof. Abhay Deep Seth, chose the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs' problem statement related to parking issues in cities. They worked with the Department of Science and Technology (DST)-Government of India, the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), the Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU), the DST-Centre for Policy Research at Punjab University, and the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology to make this happen.

A collection of manuscripts will be included in Dr Vinay Kandpal's book, which will record the remarkable life and revolutionary policies of India's honorable prime minister, Shri Narendra Modi. The book is intended for a broad readership, including scholars, admirers, and detractors who are interested in learning more about the life and political career of Shri Narendra Modi as well as the changes in India's political climate following his ascension to the nation's prime ministership. September 22, 2023: A dedicated team of students from SVKM's NMIMS Indore Campus' School of Technology Management & Engineering (STME), led by Sam Varghese, a distinguished third-year MBA Tech student, has achieved a remarkable milestone by placing among the top 5 winners at the prestigious Kavach 2023 Cyber Security Hackathon, an event of national importance organised by the Government of India. This exceptional achievement demonstrates the students' unwavering commitment and superior talents at SVKM's NMIMS Indore Campus. In the face of strong competition, with teams from all over the country participating, the STME team has proven extraordinary skill in the intricate field of advanced CCTV analytics.
The hackathon, organised by the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, AICTE, in collaboration with the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) (MHA) and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), aimed to design and develop innovative solutions for automatically detecting incidents related to street crime, violence, burglary, theft, infiltration, and unauthorised access using live CCTV feeds. The NMIMS Indore STME team, which included Sam Varghese, Chaitanaya Kusumakar, Avni Bhardwaj, Arohi Jain, Sudhanshu Rastogi, and Sanskriti Sharma, successfully developed a machine learning model that analysed CCTV footage in real-time, identifying accidents and illegal activities and sending instant alerts to the appropriate authorities. According to the problem description provided to participants by the Bureau of Police Research and Development, CCTVs around the country were malfunctioning.
