Shiksha Invites Admission Counsellors For An Interactive Session on Career Opportunities and Programmes Offered by NIET

January 24, 2022: Shiksha.com recently invited a team of Admission Counsellors at Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology to participate in a WhatsApp session to speak with various applicants interested in applying to Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology programmes.

Students asked counsellors questions about the eligibility requirements, admission process, application deadline, placements, and other opportunities.

While answering all of the students' questions, they talked about various specialisations offered under ECE programme which includes Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Embedded and IoT. The institute offers direct admission to students on the basis of Class 10 and 12 aggregate.

NIET is an autonomous institute, ranked 171 by NIRF in 2021 that offers NBA and NAAC-A grade accreditated ECE programme. The total fee for the programme is INR 5,05,800.

Upon successful completion of the programme, students may expect job opportunities in sectors such as Electronics Semiconductors, Tele-communication industries, Software/IT industry or Government/PSUs.

NIET Inks MoU with TCS to Offer Course 'BTech Computer Science and Business Systems’

November 20, 2020: Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida has recently entered into an agreement with TCS, one of India's largest tech firms, to customise the syllabus to suit the increasing demand for engineering expertise according to industry requirements.

NIET Greater Noida is the first and only AKTU educational institution in UP to introduce a course in BTech Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS). TCS will assist the Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology as part of the MoU, by educating and expanding its faculty and arranging guest lectures by industry experts.

In collaboration with leading academics across India, TCS has developed a curriculum for a four-year undergraduate programme in Computer Science called ‘Computer Science and Business Systems’ to address the growing demand for engineering talent with the requisite skills in digital technology. The purpose of this curriculum is to ensure that students graduating from the programme not only know the core topics of computer science, but also the arts, management sciences and human values are equally valued. At the end of four years of the curriculum, students are also introduced to evolving topics such as analytics, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, etc., to get them fit for the industry.

NIET Bags 4 Prestigious Diamonds in QS I Gauge Rating 2020

November 2, 2020: Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida has been awarded the QS I Gauge 2020 ‘4 Coveted Diamonds’ for excellence in the field of education. In order to further enhance the standard and importance of education in an increasingly diverse future, NIET has also effectively earned a major Gold ranking, placing itself in a wide range of learning.

As an independent private sector initiative specialising in ranking colleges and universities, QS I·GAUGE puts together the global skills, experience and prestige of the UK-based Quacquarelli Symonds, along with a deep local understanding of Indian higher education luminaries. QS I-Gauge Rating Agency has released the 2020 edition of the coveted ranking of India's top and elite universities and institutions reviewing the participating institute. The scorecard and overall ranking based on their results and scores earned in individual categories were given to educational institutions, namely, teaching and learning, faculty productivity, employability, student diversity, services, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and creativity.

NIET Becomes First Autonomous Private Educational Institute in Uttar Pradesh

August 28, 2020: The University Grants Commission (UGC) recently announced Greater Noida-based Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology as an Autonomous Institute, hence leveraging the institute to design its own curriculum in the future. With this, the institute will now be able to design the curriculum and train the students as per the latest industry standards and practices.

NIET has also collaborated with various industry partners to offer new-age BTech specialisations to students such as BTech Computer Science and Business Systems will be offered in collaboration with TCS, Computer Science will b offered in collaboration with Amazon, Dell would be offering CSE in Data Science, CSE in Artificial Intelligence will be offered in joint efforts with Intel.

The institute has set up the Centre of Competence for each of these collaborations to promote and disseminate the study of engineering in a wider technological and interdisciplinary sense. Over 24 innovations laboratories have been set up to provide students with exposure to the practical environment and help them become industry-ready.

NIET, Greater Noida Becomes India’s 1^st Engineering Institute to be E-Lead Certified

May 15, 2020: In an online ceremony held on May 14, MHRD Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal presented the certificate to Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology to be India’s first E-Lead Certified Institute. The institute score over 140 points in a 150-point scoring that was based on four parameters, namely Student-Faculty Engagement, Learning Management System, Information Technology Support and Best Practices in Information Technology.

The institutes had to score a minimum of 120 out of 150 to become eligible for the certification.

Executive Vice President NIET Raman Batra said that that the Institute was the first one to act on the order received by AKTU on March 17 to move the classes to virtual classrooms for ongoing batches amid the lockdown. The IT team of NIET worked actively in creating  the IDs of over 300 faculty members and 5,000 students and launch the classes of all the courses within four hours of the notification received on online platform “IMPARTUS” and Google Classroom.

NIET has been awarded with this certification because of its excellent work in all the activities related to academics such as online classes, online assignments, online quizzes, webinars, NPTL courses and virtual labs.

Institute Organises TiE Grad in Association with TiE Hyderabad

March 2, 2020: In partnership with TiE Hyderabad, on March 2, the Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida, organised TiE Grad called ' TiE Grad Kick off Session’. The purpose of the event was to help students cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset and inspire them to create their own business ideas. Institute invited TIE Grad- Founder CrossBorders Subbaraju Pericherla, TIE Grad-CEO & Founder stuMagz Sri Charan Lakkaraju, and Executive Vice President NIET Raman Batra to grace the event.

TiE has a vast global network of entrepreneurs, business leaders, experts and mentors and has over 12,000 members and associated members throughout the world. The dignitaries shared their experiences and challenges faced in their entrepreneurial life. The event concluded successfully by signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU). Both organisations aim to work together towards spreading the entrepreneurship spirit among the youth.
