Q: Can I get admission in BPharma at NSHM Institute of Health Sciences if my rank is between 10000 and 15000?

For last year, the closing rank for B.Pharma was 14900 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this.

With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it's advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in NSHM Institute of Health Sciences, NSHM Knowledge Campus - Kolkata Campus.

Have a look at the life of NSHM College.

Placements: NSHM provides 100% placement to their students. The average salary package offered by this college is above 5 LPA. Internship opportunities are available for all students related to their field. Manager, branch manager, and officer in charge are some of the roles which are offered by them in our course.

Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi and other technology needs are available for the respective branches. Books are well-explained and useful for studies. Hostel is well-maintained sometimes we may face some discomfort in the food section but most of the time they maintain good hygiene. Indoor games are available like carrom board, table tennis, chess, etc. Medical facilities are also available for the needed.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and well trained also they interact very well with the students. Course curriculum is relevant to students it helps them to be industrial-ready at every point. Semester exams are not difficult if we study for it, the questions are easy not very hard. Pass percentage is above 50%.

Other: Overall experience of our course is good and I'm satisfied enough.

I'm very satisfied with my college and course. It has good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: All of them went for an internship offered to them by the college. Almost 90% of students were placed. The average salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month. The average salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. There are many government hospitals in the area. All of them got internships in various government hospitals. Top roles offered are counselor, school teacher, and clinical psychologist assistant.

Infrastructure: We have a mental health clinic, faculty rooms, and 3 classrooms in total. All of them have projectors and a board. The seating arrangement and the environment of the classroom are satisfactory. The library has several books related to the course and a good seating arrangement. We do not have our hostel.

Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also very good. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. I would rate semester exams as difficult as 8/10. The pass percentage is 40%.

Other: I chose this course because I have always been the therapist's friend and it really feels good to be trusted by others and to help others and be there for others when they feel vulnerable or they think they have none. The best thing about our course would be the course curriculum. It is good only. There are a lot of events and fests going on. The campus crowd is okay. All the above criteria are satisfactory.

Infrastructure: Facilities and insfrastructure available in my course is wifi labs classrooms library Quality of the facilities in hostel, the quality of food in the mess and canteen, medical facilities, sports and games are very good the college have a verty net and clean campus also

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and qualified and knowledgeable, the teaching quality is very good from other colleges The semester exams in this college is quite moderate and the passing percentage is above 45% for all the students of the college in every course

Other: I chose the course because i was from the commerce background and the best thing about this course is this helps to explore me more about the business and management

NSHM Knowledge Campus: the business college of Kolkata.

Placements: Our course provides high-end placements in big companies such as Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Apollo Pharmacy, and many more. 75-80% of the students in our college get a guaranteed placement under companies like Calvin Klein and other top designer brands as well.

Infrastructure: There are two buildings on our campus; one is the NAAC A+ building, which has the best classrooms and best washrooms you can ever imagine, and the other building is under construction as it was the old management building. There are lifts as well to make locomotion easier.

Faculty: The faculty of our college is very good as compared to other colleges nearby. The majority of them are helpful and very well behaved. There are co-curricular activities as well that are encouraged by the teachers. The exams are very conceptual, which helps in being creative and getting more used to the real world.

Other: I chose this course seriously because of good placements, and the reaching time to the college from my home is quite reasonable.

Reasons to not go to NSHM.

Placements: If you are looking for placements, NSHM might not be the right decision for you. For my batch, yes, I do believe some of the blame goes to covid, but the majority was due to our college's negligence. Out of 50 students, only 3 went ahead with our college placements. The minimum package offered was 1.8 LPA, and the maximum was 3.6 LPA.

Infrastructure: One thing that NSHM was actually successful at pulling off was the facilities. 3 Mac rooms, AC classrooms (AC didn't work, but it's the effort that counts), 2 huge libraries, and a canteen that was closed for 2 years. We also had a working AV room. There were no fields.

Faculty: The faculty was the worst thing about NSHM. At least for my course (B.Sc. Media), the faculty was so bad I had to learn things from YouTube. I can't say much about the curriculum, as directly MAKAUT is responsible for that. The exams were fairly easy, as most of the course material depended on your common sense rather than your mugging-up skills.

It is a good college for students who want to develop skills, or else don't join.

Placements: They don't have a placement cell for all students. They'll inform students that they have it, but they don't have any. Just don't believe their sweet talks, students just have to graduate and find company.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good, and go for it. They have good equipment.

Faculty: Teachers are very good. They are always helpful towards anything. They don't have any placement cell for all students and their team won't even help students in anything. It is not very helpful to join as a middle-class family. The best thing is that students should get a diploma from here and get further studies from somewhere else.
