All about my Techno India life.
Placements: About 60% of students get placed from my course. The average package is 3.5 LPA. Our seniors got placed in renowned companies like TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, LTI Mindtree, and so on. From the overall college, almost 75% to 80% of students got placed in the above-mentioned and other renowned companies. 40% of the students from my course have been placed. Roles offered in tech companies include software associate, software developer, and software consultant, among many others.
Infrastructure: Our college provides all the necessary facilities and amenities a student can expect. We have free Wi-Fi, enough labs and classrooms, and a huge library (from which we are given books every semester, so we don't have to buy any). We get top-notch facilities. I don't live in the hostel, so I have no idea about it. We have a good canteen, and the food quality is decent. Medical facilities are also available. Students are enthusiastic about sports and games, and there are extensive sports facilities.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful and kind and share a very friendly demeanor. They try to provide us with the best quality education. This is a very relevant and popular course nowadays. Students who have come from a commerce background or any combination background can get admission; they only need to have mathematics and computer science or applications in their 10+2. Anyone with an interest in computer coding can easily get into this course and become industry-ready. The difficulty of the semester is moderate. We have exams almost every month. There are four internal exams, two practical internal exams, one external final exam, and one practical exam.
Other: I have an interest in computers and coding, so I chose this course because I couldn't do a B.Tech. At that time, I thought this was the perfect course for me. Techno India is famous for its events and fests. Throughout the year, there is always something happening on the college grounds. We have different clubs, like a tech club, a social work club, and many more for extracurricular activities. The campus is big and very eye-soothing, situated in a prime location with access to buses, the metro, and autos.

Decent placements, infra with lifts, well-equipped labs, campus small.
Placements: Placements in Techno are slightly better than normal average tier 3 colleges of Kolkata (except IEM). Companies like Capgemini, IBM do visit our campus and also mass recruiting companies like Accenture, etc. Startups also hire for placements, and some companies offer PPO as well.
Infrastructure: Talking about infrastructure, it's pretty good. There are labs for everything required and well-equipped, and classes are also spacious. Wi-Fi for students, library, and canteen are present. Sports events like cricket, chess, football, tug of war, etc., are organized by college clubs. The library provides you with all the semester books you need and they are available with them.
Faculty: There are definitely very good teachers in the college who are helpful and dedicated to their work, but there are some whose lectures aren't understandable by some students. Some of them do guide you if you need separate understanding of something.

Diploma in Computer Science and Technology - Batch of 2026
2.6
3Placements3Infrastructure2Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
Unhelpful faculty, adequate infrastructure; promising placement offers for Diploma.
Placements: ~Students who have completed their 10th or 12th and have secured 60% and above marks in the competitive exam named "Jexpo" are allowed to take admission in the 1st semester of the Diploma in the Computer Science and Technology department and it is the same for other departments. *Note: One can take direct admission (also called lateral entry) in the 2nd semester of the respective department of Diploma if he/she has completed 12th with pure Science and has secured 60% and above marks in "Voclet" exam.* ~ The highest package offered last year (in 2023) was 1.4 LPA and the average was 48k PA. ~Generally companies like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, Amazon, etc. Visit every year. Last year (2023) companies like Amazon, TCS, Green Solution, Yazaki Indian Pvt Ltd and Price Pipe visited. ~ There's no particular internship offered in the Diploma but in the 3rd semester an HTML course is taught in the name of internship (unpaid) and it is meant for all to join the course. ~ There's no proper job offered after the Diploma. Generally, people get placed for Telecaller jobs or jobs that are related to marketing.
Infrastructure: ~ Toilets are available on every floor, ensuring easy access for students. ~ An open library is accessible for all students. However, due to the large number of students, one can hardly focus on their personal work. ~ Well-maintained labs catering to various categories offer practical learning experiences. ~ Despite the presence of labs, the Wi-Fi connectivity is still weak. ~ Availability of lifts for convenience.
Faculty: ~ Honestly, teachers are very unhelpful, especially the teachers associated with teaching the Diploma students. ~ The qualifications of the teachers are very good, yet they lag in explanation. Sometimes, teachers with different qualifications are ordered to teach a different subject. ~ This course curriculum is very helpful since the subjects are highly related to the study of B.Tech, and it does make the students industry-ready. ~ However, after the completion of the Diploma, pursuing B.Tech is highly recommended for one to ace their knowledge, as companies prefer bachelor's degree holders during recruitment. ~ The passing percentage has become very hard after 2023. The passed and failed student ratio could be 16:7.
Other: I chose this course because I thought 11th and 12th could be hard to pass. If one wants a simpler version to complete 11th and 12th, then one can choose a Diploma after the completion of 10th. Unhelpful faculty is a big negative point of this college. Therefore, I would not recommend anyone to join this college in terms of a Diploma in Computer Science and Technology. The campus is decent, and there are no such fests where Diploma students can participate unless it's farewell. Even then, you have to shell out your own money, typically ranging between 300-500 rupees, and no matter how much you refuse to contribute, they'll still have to chip in. Seniors can get pretty intense about it, leaving you with little choice but to comply. Every year, an annual sports day is organized where if one wants to participate has to pitch with their own cash (typically every activity ranges between 30-150 rupees and can also exceed this number). The location of the campus has good connectivity of public and private transport.

Good placements, many opportunities, helpful faculties, helpful seniors
Placements: This college is good. About 80-90 % of students were placed this year. The highest package was 45 LPA (off campus), the average package was around 6 LPA, and the lowest was around 3.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Wipro, Deloitte, Accenture, Cognizant, and Reliance. There are some internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: Campus is around 3-4 acres. There are two small grounds. Some indoor games are also available like table tennis, chess, etc. There are many smart rooms, an AC-rich library, Wi-Fi facility, and rich labs. The college has a tie-up with some hostels which costs around 7.5k/month, which includes 2 times food.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable, qualified, and helpful. The curriculum is relevant but can make students industry-ready. According to seniors, the semester exam is between average and tough level. 90-95% of students pass easily if they have more than 80% attendance.
Other: The cultural club of this college organises the largest cultural fest of Kolkata, and many of the big celebrities have come here, like Harrdy Sandhu, Monali Thakur, Shilpa Rao, etc. It is situated in the Porsche area. Connectivity is good; Howrah station is around 8Km away.

Really Amazing Faculty and Learning Journey.
Placements: The computer science course is NBA accredited. The faculty is also very good and helpful. According to seniors, the placement scenario is also pretty good, and undoubtedly, the placement of this course batch is very satisfying. A huge percentage of students got placed here last year. The highest package that was offered here was approx. 600K, which was probably offered to a CSE student. Top companies were here for the recruitment process.
Infrastructure: The faculty is helpful, and all the professors guide the students in a very friendly manner. Labs are equipped with necessary machines and experimental equipment. The quality of food in the mess and canteen, medical facilities, and sports and games are also very good here.
Faculty: The teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. Students are also guided properly to be up-to-date. The level of semester exams is pretty good here. The pass percentage is also good here.
Other: I chose this course for my love for software and technologies. There are several official and wonderful clubs here to join and learn. Extracurricular activities are always encouraged here. Fests and events are top-notch.

Don't expect much from private colleges.
Placements: Placement is good for CSE and IT. Other departments also have average placements. Placement cells are present. Placement co-coordinators are helpful. Placements are primarily in the IT sector. Core departments have less placement. The salary package ranges from 10–12 LPA maximum. The average salary goes to 3.6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not very good. Okay, but not very good. Wi-Fi is present but not helpful. The labs and library are well maintained. The college canteen is only for snacks and not heavy food. Management is not very good. Swimming pool and gym present but not allowed to use.
Faculty: Good faculty. Very educated and experienced faculty. With good lab attendants and staff. Some teachers boast about themselves a lot. Some teachers are authentically very good. And they love their students and deserve respect. Some teachers are extra strict.
