College environment is very nice. It is worth the money and better than other private colleges. 40-50 companies come at the time of placements. We have a very nice, social and cultural environment. Professors are very friendly and some are very talented. Management is very good and social fest is organized by students every year.

It's the first private college of Odisha. It provides B. Tech (Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering to the students. Orissa Engineering College (OEC) is the first private engineering college to be established in Odisha. It was set up way back in 1986 when the concept of private education was yet to be understood by people. Orissa Engineering College is the result...

OEC is one the first private colleges in Bhubaneswar, Orissa and has a 60 acre campus. The college infrastructure is not so impressive but there is an auditorium, which is the biggest in Orissa. There is a boys’ hostel in campus for only first year students and after that you have to manage your own accommodation. Bus is provided by the college for the students who live outside the campus. Girls’ hostel is available in the college. Seniors are supportive and no ragging is done. There is bank, po...

It’s good in education but the placement is very low. I want that government should take proper action towards the path of placement. It is the first private college of Odisha and also the semi government facilities. In the sense of faculty, they do not teach us in a proper manner so that the student get benefited from college. And the faculties do not give good grade marks. They give good marks to only their nearer student means that student is known by teacher. It’s like discrimination between...

A college of adjustable infrastructure, but labs are pretty awesome with no machinery, correction: machines which are broken. As they are brought in early days of starting of college and no maintenance is done. When I come to Placement, till now only one company has come with fair placement i.e. TCS otherwise, no core company. I still don't understand why there is a medical, sports room, gym center, canteen and library in my college. All those things are to satisfy AICTE norms only. Only one thi...

One of the oldest college of Odisha. Being a private college, it matched up with government colleges. But now it runs on the legacy image. Faculty was good. Infrastructure in not upto the mark. Location is good but not easily accessible. Hostel is not like other colleges. Labs are not up to date. Canteen is small with limited food availability. After all this, I would recommend it due to the good faculty.

Orissa Engineering College is a kind of old and renounced college, but as the days gone the quality of teaching is degraded day by day. Now coming towards campus recruitment earlier a lot of company used to recruit from here but now it is also degrading day by day. In general it is not worth studying in this college. So study hard and try and avoid taking admission in this college.

It is the oldest private engineering college in Odisha. Computer Science as well as Information Technology is one of the best options here. Placement record is also good (at least those who know something technical get jobs easily). Infrastructure as well as location is quite poor. Hostel facilities are like ok.

Orissa Engineering College (OEC) is the first private engineering college to be established in Orissa. But study is not good as its name. Transportation is also bad. But placement is quite good. OEC is good college also. There are no hostel for boys from 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students.

Orissa engineering college is one of the best colleges in Bhubaneswar for electronics & telecommunication, computer science, civil and mechanical engineering. I studied in Electronics and Telecommunication in this college. Ranking of the college in placements is good as compared to other colleges in Bhubaneswar. Campus and others facilities in the college are also good.

College environment was superb, teachers were supportive. We had fun and everything. College has pretty good infrastructure with large auditoriums. Managements is friendly. A bit ragging was there but it was full of fun with interacting with seniors. The great thing is that you find good talents, college fest is superb.

It’s a good college in Orissa and faculty members are well qualified. I should recommend that you should take admission in this college so that your future will be bright. Placement is nice, many companies visit the campus. And college faculty members will also support you. Labs are well maintained and all equipment are there in the labs so that a student can understand and learn easily through their practical classes.

Review of Orissa Engineering College.

Placements: Most of the roles are offered by IT companies. TCS was the major company which used to visit our college for placements earlier. But now, the condition of placements is very bad. Now, most of the students are opting for off-campus drives.

Good placements and infrastructure facilities.

Placements: There are various public as well as private sector roles available for this course. The students can be placed in any software companies like tcs, infosys, wipro, etc. There are many telecom companies like bsnl, airtel, jio, etc. Where the students can opt for good job roles and opportunities.

placement is not good, teaching is not up to the mark.

Placements: Earlier, 2 years ago our college placement was best. But from the last one year, it has declined very much. Earlier TCS, Wipro, and so on were the main recruiters, but now not many companies are visiting our college. Now basically you have to look for off-campus.

I suggest others be smart enough to visit the campus before taking admission.

Placements: Placements here are average, and most of the students got placed off-campus, which are organised by other colleges. As most of the companies have opted for online examination for placements, the college has done nothing in providing any on-campus offers. Some placements were also fake.

Placements: About 60% of the students got placed from our course last year. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA and the average salary package offered was 4 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are TCS, Royal Infrastructure, Shri Ram Panels and Tega Industries. The top roles offered in our course are trainee, assistant engineer and HR. The college has a good infrastructure, but faculty need to be more experienced.

Placements: Companies like TCS are a mass recruiter on the campus. Zycus and Mindtree also visit the campus for placements. The average salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. Almost 70% of the students are placed each year. Students should try for their own internships. The college only provides internships in the final year.
