I am very much disappointed with the accounts department.
Placements: Only 60% of students got placed. The maximum placement rate is 70%. The highest package offered is 2 to 2.5 LPA in Kolkata, and out of Kolkata, it is much more than that. Sometimes, some companies offer 3 to 3.5 LPA, but they require extraordinary skills, which is not possible for a BCA fresher to have. Companies like Archeitive Solution, PCS Global, RK Infotech and other small companies mostly approach the college. For online or off-campus placements, there are Wipro, TCS, Cognizant etc. Till the end of the year, hardly 60% of students get internships in small companies like PCS Global, Archeitive Solution, BYJU's, Talent Data Technology etc. You mostly get supportive jobs, BPO jobs, HR jobs, management jobs, technical support jobs, junior developer, analyst, tester etc.
Infrastructure: The college was well-maintained, neat and clean earlier but not now. Only the admission area is well maintained so that the parents would think that college is very well maintained. Lift facilities are not available. Every department building is far from each other, and even the ground is far from our building, and one needs to take a rickshaw and pay money just to roam inside the college. They say that they will provide Wi-Fi, but till now, I didn't get its password, and I am never able to access it. Classrooms are big, but a lot of echo takes place. The teachers are very few, one teacher teaches multiple subjects. The library has many books, but the condition and ambiance of the library are bad. Even the account department of this college is not supportive, and they don't even listen to the concern of students. The most important thing is they charge 3,000 rupees as a fine for the late fee. The labs still have old PCs, broken keyboard, old mouse, and broken chairs. Water facilities are disgusting. The cooler remains dirty many times, and the taste of water is bad. Hostels are also bad. They are painted only from outside to attract students and parents. The girls' hostel is even worse. The canteen serves bad quality food, and students have to go out to eat most of the time. Even after complaining, they don't change the quality of services. Sports were held last year, and that was messy because this college doesn't have any sports teacher. The sports department makes our teachers teach students about sports on a regular basis. The common room has only one carrom board for many students. Medical facilities are good.
Faculty: They charge a lot of money, but they don't have separate teachers for different subjects. One teacher teaches multiple subjects. The teachers are highly qualified, but the teaching level is not up to the mark. Some teachers are good, and some teachers are bossy. The course is very bad, and it doesn't at all make us industry-ready. The industry demands many different skills and knowledge on subjects, and it is not at all included in the curriculum. Due to this, most of the students are working in BPOs.
Other: I chose this course because I don't want to waste 1 year more in B.Tech. The best thing about this course is that it directly focuses on teaching you the required things by not wasting your time in teaching 12th science again like in B.Tech. The course structure is very old and needs to be changed. It is not at all helping students to be industry-ready because it still includes some subjects that are not important. This the first college I have seen that doesn't give freshers a welcome party, and very few events take place here. They provide scholarship facilities that are good enough. The campus surrounding is like a village area, and it doesn't feel like being in a city like Kolkata.

It is a good college if you are looking for pursuing BCA course.
Placements: Placements provided in our college were good enough. Students need to work hard for getting placed. Many students from our batch got placed in Capgemini, Infosys, etc. Special aptitude and grooming classes were provided. Students should attend those classes to face the interviews easily. Almost 70 to 80% of placements were expected.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good but needed a bit of improvement, especially with the computer labs and other equipment. Classrooms are good and air-conditioned, and the library has more than 5,000 books and journals. Overall, it could be better if the computer labs were improved.
Faculty: Faculty members were the best thing in this institution. Everyone is helpful, and special care will be taken for every student. Classes happen regularly, and it is important for everyone to attend as many classes as possible. Students will get help from the faculty members in all possible ways.

Absolutely dissatisfied due to faculty, infrastructure and lies told.
Placements: On-campus placement is very poor. Atmost 3 candidates might get placed. Students are taken to different pool campus interviews and exams to opt for the jobs among a large number of candidates. Some of our seniors got placed in TCS. Average salary offered is about 16000.
Infrastructure: There's no Wi-Fi connection for students. 4 computer labs. Old and outdated machines with only 1 lab decently configured. Classrooms are moderately good. Games/Common room is available but not accessible. Library is resourceful. Food available in cafeteria does not have much variety but has a decent taste. AC classrooms frequently become non-AC as some stop working at times. Basically infrastructure is not good. Labs and classroom and non-AC library all have some drawbacks.
Faculty: When I joined back in 2016 our faculty was among the best. But recently there are no knowledgeable teachers. Teaching quality has deteriorated since. Outdated teaching methods with no setup for e-classes. 30:1 student-faculty ratio. Moderate industry exposure through workshops. No industry visit as of yet. Second year about to complete. Course curriculum is getting outdated.

A review on BCA, Pailan, by the student of 2018 pass out.
Placements: The placement is not bad or good. It is average. 40% of the students in my batch got jobs. The salary range provided by the companies are 160k to 220k per year. The visited companies are IBM, Wipro and Cognizant in the year 2017. Maximum companies are required for software testing and developing. None of the students has got the internship from college.
Infrastructure: Our college has provided 3 computer labs, 1 library to us. There are 2 common rooms for boys and girls. Wi-Fi also available here, but the speed of internet is very slow. The quality of the labs is good. All the classrooms have A/C. Some classrooms also have digital projectors. Food quality in the canteen is poor. The girls' hostel rooms are good, and boys hostel is little much bad. The hostels are secured for girls.
Faculty: The faculty members of our college are good, and also they are very helpful to us. The maximum faculty members are highly qualified with their individual subject. Some of them are very knowledgeable. Firstly, they taught us theory, then they did the lab and practical. The student-faculty ratio is almost 8:1. We got the industrial exposure.
Other: Ragging does not happen in our college. The campus is safe for all. But, the maximum students are addicted to various types of intoxication. Drinking water is a big problem in our college and also the city Pailan. All the seniors are also helpful to their juniors in the study.
