Extremely good college to be a graduate.
Placements: Placement in this college is good. Around 80 to 85 % of students were placed. The highest package of this college is 24 LPA and the average package is around 7-8 LPA which is a decent package. Recruiting companies are ISRO, Wipro, Philips, Infosys, Deloitte etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are good. Wi-Fi facility is available on the college campus. Classroom infrastructure is good with projectors included and almost all types of books are available in our library related to the department. The hostel facility is also good.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are not difficult if you study properly. Passing marks is 40%. So a student can easily pass the examination.
Other: This course is both hardware and software based that's why I chose this course.

Diploma in Computer Science and Technology - Batch of 2026
Offered by Techno Main Salt Lake

Unhelpful faculty, adequate infrastructure; promising placement offers for Diploma.
Placements: ~Students who have completed their 10th or 12th and have secured 60% and above marks in the competitive exam named "Jexpo" are allowed to take admission in the 1st semester of the Diploma in the Computer Science and Technology department and it is the same for other departments. *Note: One can take direct admission (also called lateral entry) in the 2nd semester of the respective department of Diploma if he/she has completed 12th with pure Science and has secured 60% and above marks in "Voclet" exam.* ~ The highest package offered last year (in 2023) was 1.4 LPA and the average was 48k PA. ~Generally companies like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, Amazon, etc. Visit every year. Last year (2023) companies like Amazon, TCS, Green Solution, Yazaki Indian Pvt Ltd and Price Pipe visited. ~ There's no particular internship offered in the Diploma but in the 3rd semester an HTML course is taught in the name of internship (unpaid) and it is meant for all to join the course. ~ There's no proper job offered after the Diploma. Generally, people get placed for Telecaller jobs or jobs that are related to marketing.
Infrastructure: ~ Toilets are available on every floor, ensuring easy access for students. ~ An open library is accessible for all students. However, due to the large number of students, one can hardly focus on their personal work. ~ Well-maintained labs catering to various categories offer practical learning experiences. ~ Despite the presence of labs, the Wi-Fi connectivity is still weak. ~ Availability of lifts for convenience.
Faculty: ~ Honestly, teachers are very unhelpful, especially the teachers associated with teaching the Diploma students. ~ The qualifications of the teachers are very good, yet they lag in explanation. Sometimes, teachers with different qualifications are ordered to teach a different subject. ~ This course curriculum is very helpful since the subjects are highly related to the study of B.Tech, and it does make the students industry-ready. ~ However, after the completion of the Diploma, pursuing B.Tech is highly recommended for one to ace their knowledge, as companies prefer bachelor's degree holders during recruitment. ~ The passing percentage has become very hard after 2023. The passed and failed student ratio could be 16:7.
Other: I chose this course because I thought 11th and 12th could be hard to pass. If one wants a simpler version to complete 11th and 12th, then one can choose a Diploma after the completion of 10th. Unhelpful faculty is a big negative point of this college. Therefore, I would not recommend anyone to join this college in terms of a Diploma in Computer Science and Technology. The campus is decent, and there are no such fests where Diploma students can participate unless it's farewell. Even then, you have to shell out your own money, typically ranging between 300-500 rupees, and no matter how much you refuse to contribute, they'll still have to chip in. Seniors can get pretty intense about it, leaving you with little choice but to comply. Every year, an annual sports day is organized where if one wants to participate has to pitch with their own cash (typically every activity ranges between 30-150 rupees and can also exceed this number). The location of the campus has good connectivity of public and private transport.

The college is well maintained and the faculty members are well educated and knowledgeable also.
Placements: Approximately 50-60% of students are placed. The highest package offered by Amazon i.e. 32 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, TCS, etc. Many companies are coming now so the recruitment process is now going on. The companies offered many types of roles.
Infrastructure: The labs are well maintained and the computers are very much upgraded. The computers have I7 processors. In the library, you can get all of your required books according to your course. The hostels are also very good and well the food is also very good. But I will suggest taking food from outside of the hostel, that will be less costly.
Faculty: The teachers are too much educated and knowledgeable. They are too much helpful also. You can ask your doubts at any time of the day. He/she will obviously help you. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant. The college is under MAKAUT university. The questions are not very tough.

Placements: Till now for 2025 batch, the placement rate is 20%. The packages offered are: The lowest - INR 3 LPA; the highest - depends upon the skills and company INR 7-9 LPA; average - INR 4 LPA. Companies which provides placement include ACCENTURE, COGNIZANT, WIPRO, TCS, CAPGEMINI. Job roles offered are: Java Developer, Software Engineer, Project Engineer. You have lots of option for this course.
Infrastructure: Its average and not so great. The infrastructure is decent, not good enough but not bad at all. Canteen looks great from inside, food is not at all good. Basically canteen is used for stationary purpose now, they have all the things which you will be needed for your course.
Faculty: It's great to have some skillful and helpful professors. Semesters are unpredictable, because of MAKAUT territory.
Other: It was trending then, but now I have realized that everybody chooses CS or IT field. Vast competition. Extracurricular activities, fest - 9/10.

The review of RCC Institute Of Information Technology.
Placements: I am from the information technology department; the average package was around 4 LPA and the average number of placements was around 70 percent. The highest package in 2023 was 14 LPAs, which are offered by B.M.C. and the largest recruiting company was Cognizant. The college organizes campusing and pool campusing.
Infrastructure: The college doesn't provide hostel facilities. Around the college area, many PGs and rented flats are available. The rent for a 2-bed sharing apartment is around 3 to 4k; the rent for a 2-bedroom flat is around 10 to 15k per month, depending on its location. The college provides Wi-Fi facilities to students.
Faculty: For the B.Tech course, there are 8 semesters in the whole period. The student-teacher ratio is 1:60, which is not so good. Most of the professors are from Jadavpur University. Some professors teaching skills are good, while others teaching skills are so boring (in my opinion).
Other: College has many fests like Bihaan, Regalia, GOT and so on. The college provides on-campus placements, which is good. During direct admission, colleges don't charge any kind of donation.
