My beautiful Parala Maharaja Engineering College.

Placements: It is one of the best colleges for off-campus placements. The best thing about this college is that it is a government college. Nine students out of 10 students get a job after passing out from this college with a minimum package of Rs. 20,000 per month. It is really a nice college to study and is also very affordable.

A rapidly developing college with a great campus and infrastructure.

Placements: It is in a baby stage, so there are very fewer campus placements till now, but it is growing rapidly. Now it is only about 30 percent of passing students but is increasing rapidly every year. I just got admitted this year (2017), and am hoping for the best as I pass from here.

A perfect review of Parala Maharaja Engineering College.

Placements: The placements provided are not too good. The average package offered is Rs. 3.5 lakhs. Wipro came this year. Nothing is done by the college to prepare the students for the placements. 7 students, this year, got placed in Wipro. In the year 2016, the maximum package offered was Rs. 3.2 LPA which was very less.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of placement and infrastructure.

Placements: There are a few companies present for placement as the college started in 2009. There are two to three companies that visit like Wipro, TCS, etc. The average placement salary is 3-4 lacs per annum. Most of the students are in the department of computer science. Most of the students have gone to other colleges for off-campus. In 2017, 20 students were taken in the placement. The placement is in poor condition. Most of the companies require Wi-Fi campus, but we don't have a Wi-Fi campus.

Really well-educational campus, good for concept teaching, good placement in 2017,good infrastructure.

Placements: The pool campuses are arranged in our college in which 50 percent students are qualifying every year. TCS and Wipro like companies are offering Rs. 35 lakhs per annum and some small companies are offering Rs. 20 lakhs per annum, which is good for any fresher. The software engineers and the automobile engineers are mostly getting the jobs.

Dissatisfied with the placements, but the faculty members and infrastructure facilities are good.

Placements: This college is the first government engineering college in the southern Odisha. It was started in 2008, the placements in this college are very poor a few students got placed, and that is also through the pool campus (organised by the government ). The packages offered are not up to the mark. And if someone is from the software branch, then this college is somewhat helpful as far as pool campus is concerned. For core branches, the college is not up to the mark. A scholarship of Rs 10,000 is off...

An average govt. college and the only govt. engineering college in the southern Odisha.

Placements: The placements are poor in the college, and only software companies come to the campus. Yet no companies came for the core branches, especially for us (the civil engineering). But actually, there is a reason behind that, though it is a government college of Odisha. The required infrastructure is not built yet, as well as, it is a new college which was started in the year 2009. So there may be a chance for the placements in future when the campus will be ready, and the college will be properly re...

An average college for now but will improve with time.

Placements: Since it was established in the year 2009, so the placement facility is not very good here. Though in 2017 there were some few reputed companies recruiting students at a good pay scale. All in all, within few years you are going to find a lot of companies setting their foot for this college.

All about my Parala Maharaja Engineering College. It is really the perfect college.

Placements: in Parala Maharaja Engineering College, many companies are coming for placements like Wipro etc and also, students getting a job with a starting salary of 20,000 or more. So, it is a better option for us to get a job here because in placements, the competition is less in our college and the chance of getting a job is high.

Come and be a part of the PMEC family!

Placements: Overall, placements are good. During our batch, hardly someone knew our college. Still, there were good opportunities for students for off-campus drives. Students from our batch are now working in TCS, IGate, Wipro, Amdocs, Accenture, HCL, CGI, Amazon, Exilant etc. with good packages. Now the placement cell is well advanced. They are trying their best for conducting on-campus drives.

Budding college with lots of potential and fast growing infrastructure.

Placements: We had off-campus placements like Capgemini and a designing company. At that time, the only way to get placed in a firm was to get through Cocubes and AMCAT. But now they are trying to bring on campus placements for the students. The senior batch students have struggled a lot regarding their studies and opportunity to excel and they did in every possible way. That is why nearly 40 students from our branch got jobs in Odisha Public Service Commission as an Assistant Executive Engineer in 2015. ...

Pros and cons of a government college

Placements: There has been only one placement drive arranged in our college. Only 3-4 students are placed. It is a software-based company. The students' performance is average.

The college has a good scope in future.

Placements: There were not any on campus placements but now Wipro had a placement drive. Almost 15-20% of students have been placed with a package in the range 2-4 LPA. Only 3-4 software companies have visited the college for placements.

Parala Maharaja is a government college under BPUT. The college faculty members are great and have intensive knowledge about their respective subjects. The faculty has a good work experience too and the management is quite cooperative. The college strictly follows the rules set by BPUT. It has a good environment and infrastructure. It is underrated because of a low placement rate. However, it is improving year by year and in the coming years, it may be declared among the top colleges.
