Review of PG Government College for Girls.

Placements: The college has a placement cell that helps students to get placed easily. Banks such as HDFC, ICICI, Dena Bank, etc., come here and recruit students. The minimum salary offered is Rs.25,000 per month. One can also go for higher studies which will ultimately help them.

Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are very good. An individual gets a wide range of exposure and learning. The hostel fees are very low and many facilities like laundry and dry cleaning are provided. There are girls' common room, dining hall, TV room, playing room, etc.

Faculty: Semester exams are conducted in the college in December and April and examination fees are charged. Honors courses are also available in the college which can be opted for by students in their second year.

Other: The college also organises many fests and cultural events for students.

Congenial study environment.

Placements: This college is not known for its placement. There is zero campus placement for the Bachelor of Arts course. No companies visit to recruit Arts students. The placements are usually done for professional courses students. Students who opt for B.A. usually prepare for competitive exams.

Infrastructure: The campus is quite big. Classrooms are spacious, the library is full of books of all the streams, labs are well equipped. There is no Wi-Fi in the campus. Hostels are pretty decent. Rooms are not very big but can easily accommodate 2 persons. Food in hostel canteen is tasty.

Faculty: All the faculty in the college are well qualified and knowledgeable. All the teachers are very much helpful when it comes to study. They even arrange doubt sessions. Interactive boards are used so that students can properly understand the topic. Regular class tests are conducted for evaluating the students.

Proper teaching techniques were used. It was a great experience at this college.

Placements: It was a great experience at this college. The courses offered are very good. About 40-50% of the students from our college got placed. The average salary package offered ranges between 2-3. Many students got an internship. Many institutes and companies visit in our college to hire students for various job.

Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms were good. But there was no proper facilities regarding WI-Fi. Canteen food and auditorium of this college was good. Sports was only for those students who are good at sports. There are also classes of national cadet cops. And they are contributing 100% in different activities and in different fields.

Faculty: Teachers were well qualified. They use proper teaching techniques and they cooprate with students. But there is no proper arrangement of notes. Teachers were knowledgeable and supportive. The course curriculum is relevant.

Other: I joined PGGC 11 in 2005 in Humanities stream. The main reason behind joining this college was, most of IAS officers from Punjab and Chandigarh region were pass outs of this college. And number of politicians also graduated from this college. Being a government college, it has good facilities and also the faculty here is one of the best in our city. The faculty here comes from different parts of India as Chandigarh is Union Territory. Also fees here is pretty less as compared to other colleges. The college has biggest ground, athletic field etc.

Our college has good infrastructure.

Placements: Our college provided many placements. I like this college. It helped us to have a better future. It provided internships. Many students from our college were placed. About 70%-80% of students were placed. They provided many roles in this course.

Infrastructure: The condition of the classrooms was fine. The library was fine. Labs were good. The canteen food was also good. Our campus was not huge, but it had everything for students. I am glad I studied here.

Faculty: Teachers were good. They helped us with our studies. They were helpful. I am so glad to learn from them. They treated everyone equally. They were always ready to solve any problems regarding our studies. Economics was a tough subject, but our teacher helped me a lot.

Other: It's a good course. After. B.A., we have many options.
