The college has good infrastructure and facilities for the psychology department.
Placements: Currently, for Psychology Hons., CU doesn't offer any placements since they've introduced this course for the very first time. They are unable to provide internships for the same at present. Though they have some placement offers for Master's students.
Infrastructure: The libraries are good and have good resources available. The classrooms in our department have fans and seats attached to tables which are pretty much uncomfortable. But there is a projector in each class, so that's a good thing. Wi-Fi never works, and there's no network inside the university. Food is okay and could be much better. Some canteens provide yummy food at reasonable prices. We also have a Subway and Dominos inside the campus, so that's a plus point. Games and sports are good.
Faculty: Since they have introduced psychology Hons., for the very first time, teachers aren't that experienced, and the faculty aren't up to the mark, honestly. But they're improving with time, and until next time, it will get better I guess. The course curriculum is super fine and provides a wide scope for the students in this field. The semester exams are a little difficult, but if you follow up with the extra resources, you may secure a good percentage.
Other: Psychology Honours is a specialisation in psychology at the Bachelor's level that gives you an edge over a normal Bachelor's course in psychology. The best thing about this course is that the syllabus is very well-defined and interesting and matches higher-level institutions. The faculty can be improved. Regular CU fests are held with a lot of famous personalities being invited, and competitions are organised for various departments. Scholarships are available in CU, for which you'll have to give CUCET exam, and in order to secure them, you'll have to score 7.5 CGPA each semester. For psychology department, various visits to rehab centers, workshops and seminars are organised regularly. CU also provides practical exposure in this program which's the best part.

It is the best college for fun.
Placements: This college has exceptional placements like average students have 1 crore packages in Google. The average package is not that great settling around 6 LPA - 8 LPA. I am doing Film and Television Production, and packages are low here.
Infrastructure: The best thing is the beautiful views of the hostels and the farms in between. The hostels have unlimited Wi-Fi at 1 GBPS, and that is the best thing. The gym is great and provides big grounds with good equipment. Students also get infirmary free of cost which is a professional.
Faculty: Especially in our field which is film and television production the papers and syllabus are easy that students do not need to study anything seems like a great thing. But it also makes studenets feel if they are pursuing the right thing. My friends also suffer from this.
Other: There are some fests and a lot of shoots happen in the college that gives students lot of good things to see. But students will enjoy here that is for sure.

Students of CU Chandigarh .
Placements: In my course students are getting placement in finance sector etc. 20% to 30% students are getting jobs. The highest package is 5 to 6.5 LPA, average is 4 to 3LPA and the lowest is 3 to 2.5 LPA. In my course, it is compulsory to bring internship certificate. Research writing is a must.
Infrastructure: There is no wi-fi available for students in classes. Labs are well maintained but the labs are only for BTEC, who take computer as a subject. Classroom is also well maintained. There are approximately 40 to 42 seats available in classes. In library, Wi-Fi is available for students.
Faculty: In my department, teachers are very good everyone was good and helpful. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. But hod was very rude. Teaching quality is good. Each semester exam was very difficult for me. Out of 60, students are required to obtain 21 marks.
Other: I chose this course because of subjects available in this course which is helpful for government exam. Best thing about this course is that you can cover general knowledge which comes in government exam. Things I wish would be better is that they should introduce more subjects related to General knowledge. Fest is helpful for freshers, campus surrounding is good, many extracurricular activities are also available.

Good infrastructure but placements are average.
Placements: The placements offered in Chandigarh university are average. It has a good reputation. Many internships are also offered to the students. The highest paid package was 30 lac/p. A. many companies like google, Microsoft, amazon etc. Visit here. Overall, the placements are average.
Infrastructure: The college campus of university is large. It's spread in almost 100 acres. There are total 12 blocks for different departments including libraries. The auditorium is quite big. Labs and classrooms are well maintained and clean. College has a good infrastructure overall.
Faculty: The college faculty is nice. Every teacher is well educated and helpful. They are very cooperative. Classrooms are smart classrooms so the study is basically smart study. Students gets the notes online. Some teachers are from different regions also. But staff is overall nice and helpful.

Since it's inception CU has maintained it's greatness.
Placements: Around 65% of the students got placed. The packages start from Rs.5LPA to Rs.8 LPA. The top roles are Executives and SR.Executives and assistant managers.
Infrastructure: CU has a very huge campus and it's kind of different in its own way. The classroom and labs are well equipped with all the relevant requirements. The only concern is that the block buildings of different courses are far from each other, as from one block to the other it takes 15-20 minutes to reach. The campus includes good Wi-Fi and hostel facilities.
Faculty: The teachers are well knowledgeable and helpful in all ways. The quality of teaching is excellent and that's the reason for CU being famous worldwide. The course curriculum prepares the student for the industry in all aspects. The semester exams are tough enough to clear.

Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.A. programs at Chandigarh University (CU)?

A:
{Source: B.A. students & alumni}

Here's the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.A. programs at Chandigarh University (CU):

Placement Cell Effectiveness

* According to students and alumni, only "a few" students from their course have been placed by the university's placement cell.
* However, many students from the Computer Science Engineering (CSE) department have been placed with good salary packages.
* While there isn't much information available about the placement cell's performance specifically for B.A. programs, it appears that the cell has had limited success in placing students from these courses.
* Overall, while CU's placement cell seems to have potential, it would benefit from improvement and increased efforts to place students from all disciplines.

Note: Since most of the information provided is anecdotal and doesn't represent a representative sample size, it's difficult to draw definitive conclusions about the effectiveness of the placement cell. Further research or data would be needed to gain a more complete understanding of the situation.
