Affordable knowledge but not placement.

Placements: Not good. There were some small private limited companies reffered by the college but that were not good at all. Further no company comes for placement in the campus. It is a government sponsored college but no government recruiters come here for job placement.

Very nice college and faculty.

Placements: The good companies came and recruited our batch. Most of them chose our students and appreciated us very well. Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro and many big companies came for recruiting us. I was very happy that I studied in this college. We get more chances to grow.

The review of Prafullo Chandra College.

Placements: This college is good for education. A student, who get the minimum 75 percent marks can easily get the admission in this college. At the time of admission, they publish the 3-4 lists. If you want to take admission in this college, you have to work hard in the higher secondary.

Dissatisfied infrastructure, faculty and education.

Placements: I did not get a placement here because I am studying in this low-grade college. It would not get me a good package, and also it does not provide one. In fact, I have never heard from my seniors about any placements throughout my college life. The better thing here is to not to even try to these type of colleges.

The ambiance of college is very cool and companies like ICICI, HDFC, etc., started giving placement.

Placements: I didn't get any placement from my college, but from 2016 companies like ICICI, HDFC, Wipro, TCS, Concentrix, Genpact, Capgemini, and many more startup companies use to give placements and nowadays due to these factors, the college cut off are raising day by day.

A great night-college life experience.

Placements: There are no campus placements or internship programs done in the college. Also, there is no placement cell in this college. Though we requested to our principal to conduct such campus placements and internship programs, at the time, we finally graduated there was no answer from the college.

Prafulla Chandra College, one of the best college for Commerce.

Placements: I have not applied for any job and not even attended any interview after completing my B.Com from my college, because I have planned for higher studies. In fact, the placements were not very good. It’s better to go for higher studies and take job in leading company on your own.

I'm not satisfied because of the placements.

Placements: The placements are not available always. Sometimes, few companies visit the college for recruitments, but the offers are not worthy. So it can be considered as not worthy. The percentage of student who got placed is below average. Some insurance companies came for placement.

Satisfied by the examination process.

Placements: Placements were not much. Very few companies have come in a year. Initially, placements were made in more or less reputed companies but over the passing time, to some extent, expectations have been deteriorated. I hope there are better placements for the future batches.

I am averagely satisfied because of infrastructure and placements, good faculty, and facilities.

Placements: The placements are not up to the mark. It depends on students. My seniors got placement for BPO at Wipro. The highest salary offered that I know, it was between Rs. 20-25K. The starting salary was minimum Rs. 10,000 and the average were about Rs. 13-15K. A wide range of roles was offered to students, from international sales agent to receptionist. Only 10% of the students got internships. The highest stipend was between 12-13K, lowest was 6K and so on. At least 2-3 companies visit our college ev...

Prafulla Chandra College of Commerce was known as South City (Night) College. It was specially designed for Commerce only. Prof. S. K. Paul & J. Chakraborty was the then teacher of Accountancy and Taxation respectively. From 2000 to 2003 was the memorable period in my life.

It is one of the oldest colleges of Kolkata. The Evening Section of the South City of the City Group of Colleges. It has a good campus compared to the rest of the city colleges, with game rooms for girls and boys. There is a small canteen with not so good food. But, the classes are good and even the Faculty is quite good.
