Q:   Is B.Sc. at President Institute of Computer Application worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and statements provided by students and alumni, here's a summary:

* Faculty: Most students praised the faculty's helpfulness, friendliness, and willingness to assist with doubts and problems.
* Teaching Quality: Students generally appreciated the teaching quality, considering it to be good or excellent.
* Curriculum: The curriculum was deemed relevant, and most students felt it was well-designed and structured.
* Placement: Unfortunately, the college doesn't provide placement services, and students haven't received offers from prominent companies. However, some students managed to secure jobs with smaller pharmaceutical companies.
* Facilities: The college lacks hostel facilities, and the campus is relatively small. While the classrooms and labs are decent, the library is limited, and Wi-Fi connectivity is absent.
* Campus Life: There are minimal recreational facilities, and sports activities are scarce due to space constraints.
* Value-for-Money: Some students felt that the fees charged weren't justified, citing instances of unnecessary fines being imposed.

Considering these factors, it appears that while the college may have its strengths (e.g., good faculty and teaching quality), it falls short in certain areas (placement, campus life, and facilities). Whether or not the B.Sc. programme at President Institute of Computer Application is worth the investment ultimately depends on individual priorities and expectations.

Here are the key takeaways:

* Focus on academics: If you're looking for a strong education and personalized attention, the college might be suitable.
* Limited campus life: Expect a quiet and compact campus environment with limited recreational opportunities.
* No placement guarantees: Prepare for self-driven efforts to secure employment or further education.
* Evaluate costs: Weigh the pros and cons before deciding whether the fees align with your expectations.

Remember, this assessment is based solely on the provided statements and may not reflect the entire picture. Research thoroughly and reach out to current students or recent graduates for more insight before making an informed decision.

Q:   Question: How is the course curriculum for B.Sc. at President Institute of Computer Application?

A:
{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Course Curriculum at President Institute of Computer Application for B.Sc.

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, the course curriculum at President Institute of Computer Application (PIPA) for B.Sc. seems to cover both theoretical and practical aspects of computer application. Here's what students had to say:

* Teaching Quality: Teachers are helpful and qualified, providing good guidance throughout the program.
* Curriculum Relevance: Students felt that the course curriculum is relevant and covers important topics in computer science.
* Practical Knowledge: While lab hours could be better utilized, students appreciated the opportunity to learn hands-on skills in the lab.
* Industry Exposure: Faculty members arrange industry visits and guest lectures to provide students with real-world exposure and insights.

However, some students noted that the curriculum could benefit from updates, citing that it is "old" and follows Gujarat University norms. Others mentioned that the lack of Wi-Fi connectivity and limited laboratory equipment hinders learning.

Overall, while PIPA may have areas for improvement, the institute appears to offer a solid foundation in computer applications, with dedicated teachers and relevant coursework.

Our college is average. The infrastructure and facilities are good.
Placements: As I am in the B.Sc. second year, honestly, I don't know about placements from our college. As I do have personal experience, various companies are there, but I don't know about them in detail. The lower salary package is Rs. 12,000 per month and the highest, after the experience, can be up to Rs. 45,000. The salary package depends on whether we choose academic year or research, and it can be more than 50k per month if we go into research, so I can say that the package also depends on the course we choose and the topic on which we do Ph.D.
Infrastructure: Our college does not have a hostel. The practicals in the lab are nice. They do each and every practice in the lab. They also clear up the doubts. The classroom facilities are quite good, and the library environment is also quite good. The food available in the canteen is not good. Personally, I don't like it. One thing I can mention is that college helps in industry visits in Bachelor and all the other curriculum activities, especially related to our course, also the lab cleanliness.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful. The faculty and teaching quality are very good except for one mam in my course and semester exams in B.Sc. are not too tough. They can be made clear by giving some focus in class and reading. The course curriculum is relevant. I found it appealing when the principal personally asks students about their teaching style and speaks to everyone about the things we aren't getting, implying that she always prioritises the students and listens to their point of view.
Other: I chose the B.Sc. biotechnology course because I love genetic and molecular studies and biotechnology after the pandemic has great importance in the medical field too.

Dissatisfied with few faculty members, management, and infrastructure.
Placements: This college does not offer any placement or placement assistance. If you are taking admission based on placement then you are going to the wrong place. You can consider this college as a school with no placement assistance, counseling, or any career development clubs. No company visits this college for placement in the field of B.Sc.
Infrastructure: The campus is very small. You won't feel like you are on campus. There are two buildings. One building is for school and the other is for college. Both are situated on the same campus. There's no Wi-Fi facility. There is a library with not many books and is in the worst condition. Classrooms and Labs are good with the required facilities. But you are not allowed to touch the instrument if it is not in your semester. This college does not have its hostel. It might have tied up with other PGs. They recently made a canteen for students. There is no medical facility, no games to play, and no area to play any sport.
Faculty: Some faculty are good but some are the worst. They will threaten you if you will go or complain against them. Some faculty members have high ego problems. Many of them just work there for a salary. The curriculum is old and is made by Gujarat University. Exams are moderate.
Other: I chose this college as I was out of options. This college is just a 5-floor building which runs many other courses like MBA, Journalism, Nursing, B.Sc. and BCA in the 5-floor building. Hence you can find the crowd but I believe that there should be a proper campus for this many courses. The college needs many improvements. First is the faculty behavior. Threatening a student or not giving the marks because he/she complained about you in feedback form is not good. The college needs to expand its campus and stop some courses as there is only one building which is sometimes used by the school students. They organize sports days for two days, college days, and festival celebrations. They rarely conduct any educational events or extracurricular activities. You won't find good reviews about this college from the other Gujarat University-affiliated colleges. The campus is small. You will find people living next to the wall of the college. So you can't speak loudly or else the residents will shout at you.

In my perception, I was totally satisfied after taking admission in this college.
Placements: About 70% of students got placed in M.Sc. course. The highest salary offered was Rs.35000 per month, the lowest salary offered was Rs.15000 per month, and the average salary offered was Rs.20000 - Rs.25000 per month. Intas and Zydus were the top recruiting companies. Our college provided internships to students who want to work in Emcure Pharmaceutical. QA and QC were the top roles offered in our course.
Infrastructure: In our course, all facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classroom, and library were available but in the lab, instruments were not sufficient for students. All were good in the hostel and the food provided was also delicious. There were many sports activities like cricket, football, tennis, and others available on campus.
Faculty: The teachers and staff members were very humble and so helpful. They helped us to solve our doubts and problems. They took the students to the industry to gain industrial and machine knowledge. There was no difficulty in semester exam when we were prepared for them.
Other: I chose this course and college because it is a top college under the Gujarat University in our course and teaching wise. I thought I made a good decision to take admitted to this college. In my perception, the instruments of the lab have to be sufficient for students. In our college, events and activities were conducted every day. Apart from that, the college also organised a new certificate course.
