TANCET scores are valid for a period of one year. Candidates aspiring for admission in 2023-24 exam session can only use the TANCET 2023 scores for admission. Candidates who wish for an MBA Admission in any of the TANCET participating colleges in 2024-25 batch must appear for TANCET 2024.
Irrespective of the 2023 score, DTE Tamil Nadu will not consider the TANCET 2023 scores for 2024 admission. Similarly, candidates planning to apply for MBA Admission in 2025-26 batch, must apply for the TANCET 2025 exam.
Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, the conducting body of TANCET Counselling conducts the process online. The TANCET counseling process involves several steps with a physical document verification round. Step-wise process for TANCET counseling is as follows:
- Counselling Registration
- Publication of TANCET rank list
- Choice filling
- Publication of tentative allotment
- Confirming tentative allotment
- Publication of provisional allotment
- Supplementary counseling round
- SCA to SC counseling
The minimum cutoff for PSG Institute of Management MAT 2023 is 600 for general category.
PSGIM always look for people who have MAT scores of 550 or above. So you will not be given the course which you opt for if you appear for the interview during the March cycle.

MBA is the flagship course of PSG Institute of Management. The institute offers 180 seats for the flagship MBA course. These seats are filled based on the applicants' eligibility, entrance exam score, performance in GDPI, etc. Further, the institute also offers an MBA in Waste Management and Social Entrepreneurship (MBA WMSE). A student can enroll to the institute through CAT, but it is not a criteria by virtue of which is extremely not mandatory for admission. PSG Institute of Management offers number of MBA programmes. The flagship programme of the institute is the MBA programme offered in affiliation to Anna University. The programme is offered for a duration of 2 years in Full-time mode. Candidates who have a bachelor’s degree with 60% marks in aggregate in any discipline are eligible to apply for the programme. Candidates who are in final year of graduation can also apply, such students will be offered provisional admission which is subjected to the completion of their graduation. Selection Process: Selection to the programme is based on academic performance in the Under Graduate Degree and scores obtained in the entrance test. The final selection will be based on Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates with work experience will have an added advantage.

Students can choose a max. of 8 elective course from 67 available electives from disciplines of Finance, Human Resource, Marketing and Decision Science & Analytics. Specialization can be one elective, dual electives or a combination of multiple disciplines of interest is possible.
Anna University exam dates change every year. In the past two exam sessions, Anna University has been conducting the TANCET exam in March for MBA and MCA courses. Anna University maintained the exam schedule in line with the previous session. The complete schedule, including answer key release and result dates, was announced in due course.
PSG Institute of Management accepts the exam scores of CAT, MAT, ATMA and TANCET. Each of these exams have a unique timeline and the exact exam dates vary yearly. Listed below are the accepted entrance exams and the tentative months in which these exams are conducted:

But TANCET is not the only entrance exam to get into PSG college.If you want to get admission into certain courses like MBA, M.Tech, you may appear for TANCET otherwise GATE scores are also accepted.
Yes, PSGIM accepts all three TANCET, MAT, CAT and AIMA scores for admission. TANCET is alone based on a government quota. Based on the TANCET scores, you have to separately apply for counselling and only if you get PSG in counselling, you can join in PSGIM.
For counseling you need to arrange your preference very smartly so that if you have scored less in the entrance then also you could get a good college because most of the time getting a good college also depends on the type of preference list you prefer or the arrangement of colleges you have made.
