    Review of Purulia Polytechnic College.
Placements: Almost 80-85% of students were given placements in renowned companies. The highest, lowest and average packages that were provided are respectively 6 LPA, 2 LPA and 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T, Tata Steel, Nippon Steel, JSL, JSW, Shakamarabi (Bravo), etc., came here to recruit students. Almost all the students got opportunities to do internship from Ardent Computech Pvt Ltd.
Infrastructure: Our college consists of three buildings. The oldest one is used for teaching Electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, and the other two buildings are for the metallurgical engineering department and Electrical and telecommunication engineering. So separate rooms for separate branches and for separate academic years is available. Our college has labs for all different branches of engineering, taught in our college with all required and necessary equipments. Workshops are there too. A library with over 10,000+ books is in the 2nd floor of the main building. Internet connection using WiFi is there in the main building, which is accessible to everyone. The college has a boys' hostel and a girls' hostel with all general and necessary facilities provided, such as decent quality of foods, water, medicines, sport accessories, games, etc.
Faculty: The faculty teachers of each branches are all helpful and calm in nature. Teachers provide enough study materials and teach students in innovative ways for betterment of students and to make the educational atmosphere of the college interesting. The course is definitely curriculum-relevant and the students here get enough training for industry. If I talk about the difficulties of semester exams, honestly, if students study properly, then none has to face any difficulties during the exams. Pass percentage is around 90%, one of the highest among West Bengal Polytechnic institutions under AICTE.
Other: I was fascinated about electrical energy and always wanted to know about electrical devices, machines and their working principle or mechanism; that was the main driving force for choosing this course. The assignment-related issues should have been sorted. The college hosts several cultural programs, functions, freshers parties, etc.

    Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Minimum 80-85% students got placed in previous year. The highest package is 3.75 LPA given by Gannon Dunkerly. Average package is 3 LPA and the lowest package is about 1.75 LPA. Larsen & Turbo, JSL, JSW, TATA CONSULTANCY, etc. Are top recruiting companies. Here paid internship is not available. Freshers are recruited as Diploma Engineer Trainee. The highest placement rate is in the course of DMET DME, DEE etc. Also 60-65% students from department of electronics and tele-communication got placed.
Infrastructure: In campus Wi-Fi is available but password is not known to anyone. A very good and calm environment campus stay in the college. A very good library is available which have sufficient book for all department. Good quality of classrooms are available and for practical here have Smart Classrooms which have projector, screens etc. For all experiments here we have so many labs. Like Physics lab, Chemistry lab, hydraulics lab etc. Here the college have also hostel facility 1st 2nd and 3rd year have their different hostels. 40-45 students are allotted to hostel each year but the quality of food is not so good. A good canteen is available in college campus but the prices are too high for students. The college conduct annual sports each year where so many games are in event. Hostelers also play cricket, football and volleyball everyday.
Faculty: There are so many teachers in our department they are very helpful and also qualified. They taught us frequently. But some teachers are so strict. They give good knowledge in technical education. Students are quite ready for the industry. The semester exams are moderate to difficult the passing marks is 24 out of 60 (40%). 10 number are for viva and assignment and 20 numbers are given by 2 internal assessment.
Other: I am choosing Diploma in civil engineering as I have so much interest in structures. The best thing about this course is one can gain the knowledge about how are the structures are built and in extreme weather how weather or other cases affect the structures like in marine or could or hot region. Some of lab instruments are not working which should be fixed. There are so many events taking place in our college like YANTRIK a teach fest is also take place in previous year campus crowd is good Wi-Fi is available for official uses. Campus is free from plastic. Good and calm environment is available. Some government scholarships are available for students like OASIS SVMCM and other private scholarships are Pragati Scholarship, etc.

A suggestion for those that wish to join is to join B. Tech and not polytechnic for engineering.
Placements: College placement is not as good as expected in the engineering college. In 2019 and 2020, only 3 students got placement from the college, and the salary is less than 1.5 LPA. I don't recommend this college for good placement. If you want a job from here, then don't come here.
Infrastructure: There are a total of 5 branches: 1) Civil, 2) Electrical, 3) Mechanical, 4) Metallurgy, and 5) Electronics. I am from the Civil department. The study and lab facilities in this college are excellent. As a government college, the campus is good, but the hostel is not as good as expected. Hostel bathrooms are very dirty.
Faculty: In Purulia Polytechnic, exams are based on the semester system. In one semester, there are 2 class tests. The exams are not so tough, neither so easy. If you study one or two weeks before the exam, you can get a very good result. In my opinion, exams are average, not so good.
Other: I chose the course because of my family. I don't want to do engineering. I think if you want to do engineering, then try to do B.Tech, not come to any Diploma courses. Connectivity is okay; the bus stop is near, 100 meters away, but train connectivity is not good.

In my college, faculty and placement are really very good.
Placements: In this college, placements are above 75 percent. The top recruiting department, Metallurgy, has a 100 percent placement rate. The top companies for my course include L&T Power, L&T Construction, and Tata Consultancy. The salary ranges from the highest package of 3 LPA to the lowest package of 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: In my institute, Wi-Fi is not available as it can be disturbing during teaching. However, each lab is well-equipped, and teachers are readily available. There is a spacious library on the 1st floor, which is very helpful for students facing financial constraints for departmental books. The college also has a canteen and a sports ground.
Faculty: Every teacher is very helpful to students facing any problem. All teachers have qualifications ranging from B.Tech. to M.Tech., and some are IIT-qualified. The teaching quality is also excellent. Exams in this college, both difficult and semester exams, are conducted under strict supervision. The passing percentage is 40.

The faculty at Purulia Polytechnic is awesome. They are highly knowledgeable.
Placements: 70% of students got their placements from this college; the highest package is INR 5 LPA, and the lowest package is INR 3 LPA. L&T and GDCL, as well as Tata Steel, are among the top recruiters. The role offered by this course is basically that of a site engineer. Overall, the college is really good; if you see the ranking of our college in Purulia district, it's in the top rank.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are not that good, but the environment of study for students is really great; sufficient toilets, water, library facilities, and guidance from teachers are available. The hostel is on a college campus, so there will be no issue with transportation.
Faculty: I recently attended this college and wanted to share my thoughts on several key aspects. The faculty of this college is incredible helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They go the extra mile to ensure students understand the material and are always approachable for questions.
Other: I belong to the Department of Civil Engineering, pursuing civil engineering. I chose this course due to my passion for construction work and the excellent reputation of this college for offering comparable programs in this area.

Best Polytechnic College with a good infrastructure.
Placements: From the past few years, our college is conducting on-campus placement programs. This year, almost 75% students from different courses were placed from our college. Average packages received by them were around 1.8 LPA and the highest packages offered were around 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college were JSW, L&T, Jindal steel, TCS, etc. Internships are not so mandatory for the students. 60% students got their internships this year.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is very good. There are advanced labs and workshops available which are well-equipped with modern equipments. A big centralized library and modern classrooms are also available. Hostels are provided for both boys and girls, but they need to be maintained properly. The canteen food is good and acceptable.
Faculty: Our teachers and most of the other faculty members are highly educated and qualified. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. Their teaching is very helpful for us to prepared for our exams. Our course curriculum is relevant enough and it makes the students industry ready. Our semester exams are not so tough with an average passing percentage of 55%.
