Review of Purulia Polytechnic College.

Placements: Almost 80-85% of students were given placements in renowned companies. The highest, lowest and average packages that were provided are respectively 6 LPA, 2 LPA and 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T, Tata Steel, Nippon Steel, JSL, JSW, Shakamarabi (Bravo), etc., came here to recruit students. Almost all the students got opportunities to do internship from Ardent Computech Pvt Ltd.

Infrastructure: Our college consists of three buildings. The oldest one is used for teaching Electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, and the other two buildings are for the metallurgical engineering department and Electrical and telecommunication engineering. So separate rooms for separate branches and for separate academic years is available. Our college has labs for all different branches of engineering, taught in our college with all required and necessary equipments. Workshops are there too. A library with over 10,000+ books is in the 2nd floor of the main building. Internet connection using WiFi is there in the main building, which is accessible to everyone. The college has a boys' hostel and a girls' hostel with all general and necessary facilities provided, such as decent quality of foods, water, medicines, sport accessories, games, etc.

Faculty: The faculty teachers of each branches are all helpful and calm in nature. Teachers provide enough study materials and teach students in innovative ways for betterment of students and to make the educational atmosphere of the college interesting. The course is definitely curriculum-relevant and the students here get enough training for industry. If I talk about the difficulties of semester exams, honestly, if students study properly, then none has to face any difficulties during the exams. Pass percentage is around 90%, one of the highest among West Bengal Polytechnic institutions under AICTE.

Other: I was fascinated about electrical energy and always wanted to know about electrical devices, machines and their working principle or mechanism; that was the main driving force for choosing this course. The assignment-related issues should have been sorted. The college hosts several cultural programs, functions, freshers parties, etc.

I am satisfied with infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Almost 80% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered ranges between 3 LPA - 5 LPA. The top recruiting company is TCL. Almost 95% of students got internships from our course in TCL. Students got electrical roles.

Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities and infrastructure. All classrooms are good. The library is good. The lab rooms are good. The hostel facilities are good. The food served in the mess and canteen is perfect. The mess and canteen are cleaned regularly. Our college provides medical facilites.

Faculty: Our faculty members are very helpful. They solve all our doubts. They are excellent. The teaching ability is very sharp. This course curriculum is relevant. It makes us ready for the industry. It is difficult to pass exams. The passing percentage is 40%.

Our college is best and happy to be a student in this college.

Placements: Many companies from every department field offer placements in our college. In course companies like Tata, L&T Arora, Jindal, etc., offers jobs for students. Students are eligible for placements from their final year. Career development cell and personality development class of our college starting from last 2nd year prepares students for their best performance in campus selection, and salary package variable. College is supportive in placements.

Infrastructure: It provides all the necessary infrastructure like library, sports facility, best, and qualified faculty members, financial assistance, etc. Practical room and computer laboratory for all the students. The big library contains all syllabus or course books, journals, science research papers, and novels. Classrooms have projectors and smart classes in 2 or 3 classrooms and laboratories. Wi-Fi is available and all infrastructure is well maintained.

Faculty: The quality of teaching is good. Our faculty members learn everything before teaching in our class. The curriculum is updated, and it makes students industry-ready. It has one of the best ways to teach.

Other: Our EE course costs approximately Rs 2,000 per year. The college also gives scholarships. Scholarships are provided on the marks obtained in higher secondary. Minority, state, and central scholarships are also available. My parents are satisfied with this college. Overall, students are getting their money's worth as they provide the best faculty members, syllabus, and teaches according to new education policy, with skill development and extracurricular activities for students.

This is a very good college for placements.

Placements: An average of 20%-30% of students get placements from our college. Many companies like L&T, Tata Steel, Jindal and many small companies visit here every year. The highest salary offered is around Rs. 18,000 to 20,000 per month. Students who are looking for a good placement can definitely join this college.

Infrastructure: The college looks modern, and the rooms are very much clean. Labs are available here for every subject, and many instruments are available. They are in good condition. There is also a library, and the facilities of this library are amazing. But the canteen facility is very poor.

Faculty: The teachers here are very much helpful, and some of the teachers are very much rude. They are also available on calls or WhatsApp, and some of them are very supportive. They always motivated us. The exams are not much hard or not much easy, and they are average. The passing percentage is about 95%-98%.
