What is JEXPO Exam?

West Bengal State Council of Technical Education organizes the JEXPO entrance exam every year. JEXPO is the state-level entrance exam through which candidates can get admission in diploma courses offered in the state of West Bengal.   • Mention the date of birth carefully, as instructed.
  • Candidates should use recent photographs.
  • The father's or guardian's name of the candidate and a complete mailing address with the correct postal PIN code number should be written.
  • The candidate should use their full signature in the specified place on the application form.
  • Mention the zone code correctly in the application form.
  • Keep a print copy of the filled-in application form.
  • Candidates should write the Question Booklet No. in the specified places on both the OMR Answer Sheet and Attendance Sheet.
  • After the completion of the examination, the candidate should submit the OMR sheet to the invigilator.

Don'ts are as follows:

  • Candidates are advised not to sign in capital letters.
  • Don't attest to the photograph.
  • Don't overwrite anywhere in the signature.
  • Don't bring a mobile phone, calculator, or any other electronic gadget inside the examination hall.

Q:   Will there be any break in the JEXPO exam?

A:

The total duration of JEXPO exam is 2 hours and the exam is conducted continuous without any break. Candidates are allowed to enter the exam hall as per the scheduled time and can leave only after the completion of paper. The exam will have a total of 100 questions from subjects, Physical Science and Mathematics. There is no separate time for subjects and students can appear any subject based on his/her choice.

Q:   What are the details required to download JEXPO admit card?

A:

Candidates appearing for the exam can download the JEXPO admit card through application number/aadhar number and full name. On the exam day, candidates need to carry their admit card of JEXPO along with one valid photo ID proof at the exam centre. JEXPO admit card is an important document that candidates need to preserve till the completion of admission process.

Q:   Is it mandatory to attempt all the questions in the JEXPO exam?

A:

No, it is not at all mandatory to attempt all the questions of the JEXPO entrance examination. All the questions will be asked in Multiple Choice Question format in JEXPO exam. In total 100 questions are asked and each carry one mark. There is no negative marking in the JEXPO examination. Candidates need to compete the exam in two hours. Also, more than one answer against any question will be treated as incorrect response/wrong answer.
