B.E. in Printing Technology Engineering - Batch of 2027
3.8
4Placements3Infrastructure5Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
This course offers unique learning with steady placements, less competition with recession impact.
Placements: In my course of printing engineering, there are 60+ seats and 98% of seats get occupied every year. Talking about the package, the average package is near 3.89 - 3.78 LPA, the lowest can be 2 LPA, and the highest package last year (batch of 2022-2023) was 7 LPA. Before that, 9.95 LPA was the max. Top recruiting companies in our course and college are Tetrapack, Times of India, Parkson Packaging, Hi-Tech Inks, etc. Every student can get an internship in our course as there is only one college for this course in Pune, but the internship will be unpaid in most cases. You can work as a manager or supervisor in printing and packaging-related companies at top MNCs. Also, sometimes you can become a press operator.
Infrastructure: Talking about our college campus, we have decent infrastructure with Wi-Fi provided in every computer lab. Even the classes have Wi-Fi, but as a new student, I have applied for it, and the college management is very slow in such works, so still, my Wi-Fi application is on the pending list. Talking about classrooms, our rooms are much better than other courses, as our department classes are near the principal's cabins, so the printing department is blessed with good labs and classes with ceiling lights, digital monitors, and clean benches. The mess quality is average. Sometimes they make good food at some fest or event, but it's not good. But you can say, at least it is hygienic and clean. We have a table tennis court and basketball court in addition to a small open ground for other sports.
Faculty: Teachers in our department are helpful, but I found that office staff and library staff are more frustrated and do not coordinate with students properly, especially. The course curriculum is 80% relevant, but I found that subjects like M3 are implemented forcefully just to make the course difficult. Most of the students have backlogs in M3 only. We have a pass percentage of 80% from 1st year to last. Exams are not that difficult for our core branch subjects, but extra subjects like Digital Electronics, Theory of Machines, and M3 may be difficult to pass.
Other: I found this course unique and in high demand, and the best thing is it’s never-ending, as the demand for packaging and printing is increasing due to packaged food, e-commerce shopping. We need specific packaging for it, so packaging needs an artist with scientific knowledge of it, which is taught to us in the course. I think that the course can be completely shifted towards packaging with a limited part of printing. We have a huge event for printing students called Sprint Era, and we also have a common BE event where all branch students come together, named SAMSAR. We have already done a national-level packaging event last year with printing students worldwide.

B.E. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science - Batch of 2026

Absolutely satisfied due to supportive faculty and good placements.
Placements: For Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, you need a minimum of 92% to 95% in MHT CET. The highest package was up to 25 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA. Almost 60% to 70% of students get internships through various companies. The roles offered will depend on your skills.
Infrastructure: The faculty is excellent, neither egoistic nor very strict. They also support you in your projects or interview preparation. The infrastructure is quite good, though the hostel is not as great, the college itself is excellent. The library is one of the best, with a special building dedicated to it.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Almost 40% of the faculty has a Ph.D. The course curriculum is relevant and makes the study more interesting, as well as preparing students for the industry. The semester exams are quite hard, and the pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I chose Artificial Intelligence and Data Science because it's the best course to take in engineering nowadays, especially with the boom of AI.

B.E. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2027

4Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Review of PVG's College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: Placement is okay, as the average placement is around 6-7 LPA. Recently, 15 seniors from the electrical branch secured placements averaging 8 LPA. They achieved this by developing the second fastest electrical car, leading to placements in Tata Company. Other branches also have placements, but not as many occur here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not extensive, with only three buildings for engineering. One building is shared between MBA and first-year engineering students. However, all the equipment required for engineering is available, including printing machines for the printing branch.
Faculty: The teaching syllabus is from the SPPU board, as the college is approved by SPPU. However, it is soon going to be an autonomous college. The teaching faculty is very good and experienced in both teaching and non-teaching fields like social behavior, etc.
Other: I chose this course because I want to join the defense forces after completing my graduation. I realized that the Electronics and Telecommunication (ENTC) branch had too much crowd, so I shifted towards the Electrical branch. Fortunately, I found out that this college is best suited for the Electrical branch.

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2025
3.2
3Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Decent college, placement avg 3-4 LPA, good infrastructure, worst food quality.
Placements: I am currently pursuing a BE in Mechanical Engineering and expect to graduate in 2025. In my course, placements are yet to happen, so I can share data from the previous year. In the last year, almost 20-25 students were placed from 60 on campus. 10-15 were placed off-campus; the rest were studying for M.Tech.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on campus, but access is not granted to students. Only faculty have access to it. The hostel quality was below the bar, to be honest, and the rent was 4000 per month. Rooms were very small, and the environment was quite sad. In contrast, the girls' hostel is better than the boys', according to my friends. The limit for hostel students to return is 10 PM. The quality of food is, as usual, the worst; they provided good food only for the first month, then the quality worsened. For sports and games, there is not much scope, but yes, there is a cricket ground and a football court.
Faculty: Some teachers are really good and helpful, but some are quite irritating and cannot teach anything. Attendance for students is completely zero in the case of such teachers. The course curriculum is relevant in terms of SPPU University, but some subjects I think are of no use in my degree or my future work. Exams happen every month; I feel like I've given more exams than I've studied. Semesters are very short, which makes it hard to pass. Almost 10-15 students in my class are YD in different semesters.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in it. This college is overall good; it ranks in the top 5 colleges in Pune. Some changes in faculty and facilities could definitely raise its standards. The college library is something to be praised. It really has lots of books, including relevant ones, and it definitely helps me boost my career.

Famous for core branches + printing old college with a brilliant record.
Placements: The college is famous for printing and core branches placement. The highest package is 30 L and the average is 3-5 L. The college conducts placement training programs and skill development webinars for students. The placement graph may change after 2-3 years, but the college is doing its best.
Infrastructure: The college has a two-floor library where students can study. There is a gym with all equipment. There is one auditorium where all programs are arranged. When you apply for the hostel, you get light, fan, table, chair, and hot water facilities. Boys have fewer facilities compared to girls in the hostel.
Faculty: This college comes under SPPU University, which is why all semester exams are conducted by the university. Teachers are humble to students. You can ask doubts anywhere on campus. The college focuses on both theoretical and practical knowledge. Every day, the college conducts practical sessions.
Other: You can apply for the Mahadbt scholarship when your academics start. In November and December, sports days (Ransangram) and Samsara are organized by the college. There are also DJ nights and grand dinner nights arranged for students. This course has scope, and this college is famous for these particular branches.

A College of Exploration .
Placements: Almost who ever apply for the placements gets selected based on their skills set and their confidence. It also depends upon the placement drive for the consecutive year. College T and P also takes initiative to hold certain training sessions through out the year to ensure the preparation of the students.
Infrastructure: Course has a numerous opportunities and also deep sense of pursuing higher studies. Hostel is not that good especially boys hotel it's infrastructure is old. Hostel is not that appreciated, but college life is fun, the decoram of college is now better than before.
Faculty: Faculty members are awesome but a few are strict. They are helpful if you show your interest. They are ready to guide you in all respect. Most of the faculty members are the paper setter, so if you attend college on regular basis than it is a plus point for you. Curriculum is also very innovation and exciting.
Other: College has various department activities and cultural events.
