Is BE/BTech at Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology (RKGIT) a Good Choice?

Based on the reviews and ratings from current students and alumni, here's a summary:

    Positive Aspects:

    * Good placement record: Around 60-80% of students are placed, with a the highest package of INR34 LPA and average package of INR5-6 LPA.
    * Cooperative faculty: Most faculty members are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive, providing good guidance to students.
    * Decent infrastructure: Air-conditioned classrooms, well-maintained labs, and a library with a good collection of books and journals.
    * Cultural and extracurricular activities: Regular fests, cultural events, and societies for various interests.

    Negative Aspects:

    * Limited internship opportunities: Only a few students get internships, mostly due to external factors.
    * Course curriculum needs improvement: Some students felt that the course curriculum focuses too much on theory and not enough on practical application.
    * Infrastructure limitations: Wi-Fi connectivity is patchy, and hostel facilities could use improvement.
    * Placement cell needs improvement: Some students reported that the placement cell doesn't provide sufficient guidance and support.

    Overall Assessment:
BE/BTech at RKGIT seems like a decent option, considering the placement records and cooporate faculty. However, students should be aware of the potential limitations, such as limited internship opportunities and infrastructure issues. With some improvements in these areas, RKGIT could potentially become an even better choice for aspiring engineers.

Based on the reviews from students and alumni, here's a summary of the effectiveness of the placement cell:

    * Placement Percentage: Around 70-80% of students from the BE/BTech courses get placed every year.
    * Average Salary Package: The average salary package offered ranges between INR2.4-3.5 LPA.

If your budget is not that much high and you want good knowledge.
Placements: About 83% of students get placements in the year 2024 with an average package of 4 lakhs per annum. Top IT companies like HCL, TCS, Wipro, etc., came last year for placement. About 85% of students get internships every year, of which the maximum are paid. There is a special and experienced team for placement and industry training programs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the first-year building is good. All classes have smart digital boards. The library has high-speed Wi-Fi, which works only on laptops and computers. The cafeteria is providing a good quality of food, but the cleanliness of the canteen is not good. All types of sports facilities are provided.
Faculty: All faculty are well-educated and have a great experience of teaching. All faculty are very humble and helpful to all students. The AKTU curriculum is followed strictly, which is not very good for industry-ready purposes. Three internal exams are held in college, and after that, university exams are held as per schedule.

Honest review of Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology.
Placements: Almost 80 percent of students get placed in campus placements. The highest package offered was 36 LPA, the lowest maybe 2-2.5 LPA, but the average package is 3.5-4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. Top roles offered are Software Engineer or Senior Engineer.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my department is not available because the building is progressing. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel. Labs are available in every department with proper Wi-Fi connection and air conditioning. Classroom infrastructure is decent. Hostel infrastructure is average, and the facilities are quite good. The quality of food is not good; the food quality is bad. Medical and sports facilities are average.
Faculty: Few of the teachers are very helpful, but a few of them have very rude natures. The teachers are majorly Ph.D. holders, so their teaching is knowledgeable. The syllabus is still very old according to the new curriculum, and it doesn't make students industry-ready. Semester exams are easy, but the checking of exams is very strict. Most of the students get backlogs for no reason. The university is making money from backlogs. The passing percentage is 33 percent.
Other: I chose this course because it's in trend, which is AI/ML. The best thing about the course is its alignment with new industrial needs. Improvement should be made in industrial visits. Events are good and enjoyable in college. The crowd of the college is not very good because most of them are local. The campus surroundings are in an industrial area. Extracurricular activities are like sports and robotics events.

College life is like a 9-5 job. It feels like we are in school.
Placements: In the Computer Science branch, around 90% of students secure placements. The highest package offered is 34 LPA, while the lowest is 2.5 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies include HCL and Wipro. Additionally, about 65% of students in the CS branch obtain internships, often provided by companies like Wipro, Bajaj Electricals Limited, and Infosys.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are decent, not good so much. Digital boards are not available in 2, 3, or 4 years. Labs have only some computer systems that work properly and have the latest version of software. Many computer systems do not have the latest version of software. During college time, they don't give entry into the library. They give entry after college, which creates more problems during the day. Hostels are standard and do not have many amenities. In hostels, there is cleaning everywhere and drinking water is available everywhere. Mess is very poor; they don't give proper food or don't have much taste. Medical facilities are there and have so many facilities for medical conditions. Games or sports have not much such facilities. They don't give so many facilities for games.
Faculty: Teachers are good; they help us in study. Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable about the syllabus. No course curriculum is relevant to industry. They provide so many things or more subjects that are not relevant to our course. They provide a syllabus, which is totally wasteful or will not have a use in the future in our course. They don't make the student industry ready due to such a wasteful syllabus. Only some subjects help us to get things and industry ready. Difficulty of paper is medium, not so much hard and not easy. Sometimes they give some hard paper, which is very tough to solve.
Other: I love this course and have interest in this course. Or, in reality, this field has so much scope in this. So that's why I chose this course. I love that the best part is having logic while having fun coding, especially during web development. Improve the syllabus in our course. Remove unnecessary subjects. They provide1 1-1 fest in year and this is not also so excellent; they have a good program only. Events are regularly happen in college and are good in that. Crowd is good in college. Connectivity in college is nice, not having a lot of problems to reach. Campus surroundings is not good it is very poor surroundings around college. Scholarships are awarded to a select group of students rather than all. Extracurricular activities are not so much; they are normal.

    Best college for engineering, RKGIT.
Placements: In RKGIT college, 90 percent of students were placed in different companies. The highest package is around 25 lacs, the lowest is around 3 lacs, and the average package is 5 lacs. Top companies are TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Infosys, etc. There is no chance to get an internship in the 3rd year of the course. Top course is CSE.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is well recognized. The hostel facility is good. In the hostel, free Wi-Fi is available, so everyone can connect to the internet, and the library is present in good condition. Hostel mess food is acceptable. Sports facilities are also good, and medical facilities are definitely good.
Faculty: The faculty of our college is well educated and qualified. They can try to solve all doubt of students in the classroom, and their teaching style is also good. This course is based on real-time projects. And it makes students industry-ready. The semester exam is easy, and 90 percent of students find it easy to pass the semester exam.
Other: Other events and fests are held in December and January.

Best place to learn and experience.
Placements: Currently, I am pursuing the course and many companies approach for placements. A decent amount of placement packages are there. The highest was 10 Lakhs and the average is 6-7 Lakhs offered in the placements, but I have seen an increase in packages with time.
Infrastructure: It has a decent infrastructure. All classes have AC, laboratories for practicals with proper equipment and faculty. Usage of LED screens in classes to make the understanding clear (using PPTs and software). The hostels are value for money according to need. 2-3 options are there.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful here. Besides the academics, they help with personal matters. Every faculty has a good command of their subject and they are very knowledgeable. This course will make the student ready for the industry as they get to know the new technology.

If you are someone who wants to learn skills, then don't take admission there.
Placements: If you are looking for a college where you can get placed easily and earn 10-12 LPA, then I don't think you should take admission in this college because the peer group matters a lot. There are people who don't want to put in the effort, except for some. You should go where you can find a good peer group.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good; all the classes have LED panels and about two ACs. There are lots of trees, and the nature on campus is good. I would say it is decent, but there is no Wi-Fi facility, and the classrooms are good.
Faculty: Some faculty are good, but there are some who don't give that much value. Talking about the curriculum, I don't think it's up to date. Companies require skilled people, but they don't provide that level of skill set, so you need to learn things by yourself.
Other: I chose this course because I had an interest in coding and wanted to learn about computer science.
