Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent by the AIU or Intermediate or 2-year Pre-University exam conducted by a recognized Board/ University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject. Candidates must have passed class 12th/equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or appearing in 2022. There is no age limit for the candidates. Candidate with below mentioned eligibility are also eligible: Final examination of the 2-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the NDA. SSC Examination conducted by the NIOS with a minimum of 5 subjects. A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 year duration. 2021 onwards Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow will be using the score sheet of JEE (Main) for admission instead of UPCET (Earlier UPSEE). Not completely satisfied because of average placements and infrastructure.

Placements: More than 80% of students were placed in my batch 2014-2018. Most of them were placed in recruitment firms and information technology start-ups on a salary package of average 3.6 LPA. Placements are average and package varied from 3 LPA to 5 LPA.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not that great though. Labs are equipped with air conditioners but there are no ACs in classrooms. There are separate departments for every branch and also there are many labs but they are not of much help to the students.

Faculty: To be very honest, faculty are not that great in mechanical engineering except two or three. Most of the faculty from other department does not even have practical knowledge to demonstrate. They do not make students industry or corporate ready.
