Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.Com programs at Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi?

    {Source: B.Com students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.Com Programs at Ram Lal Anand College

    * Limited placement opportunities: Most students (about 90%) don't get placed from our college. Only 5%-10% of students get placed annually, mostly with BPO companies, with a salary package of around INR2.5-3 LPA.
    * Placement cell not very active: The placement cell is not very proactive in arranging internships and jobs for students. Companies rarely visit the campus, and students often have to look for opportunities themselves.
    * Few internship opportunities: Internship opportunities are limited, and students are mostly offered unpaid internships. Companies like Amazon, BYJU's, and VQMs occasionally participate in internship fairs organized by the college.
    * Low placement rate: The college's placement record is poor, with only about 10% of students getting placed. The rest either opt for further education or pursue other career paths.

Overall, the placement cell at Ram Lal Anand College could improve by increasing its outreach efforts, organizing more internship fairs, and building relationships with local employers.

It's a good college for those who want to pursue graduation.
Placements: This college does not guarantee placement for average students. Yes, most students are getting placements and internships after completing their master's degrees here. However, I completed my bachelor's course from this college, which is why I did not secure any placement. The highest package offered was 6 LPA, while the lowest was 2 LPA. Companies like Amazon conduct campus drives, and the career consulting and placement cell assists students. During the campus drive, 30% of students received internships from these companies.
Infrastructure: RLAC's infrastructure is good. Yes, my college provides all the facilities that every student needs. There is good ventilation in every classroom, and the classrooms are equipped with smartboards and projectors. Wi-Fi is also available for students to access. Additionally, this college has a common girls' room that is off-limits to boys. The college also offers facilities such as labs, libraries, and hostels. Regarding food quality, it is average—not too good and not too bad.
Faculty: The teachers are great and experienced. They are very helpful and qualified, and the quality of teaching is excellent. I have had very supportive teachers. My course curriculum is relevant and prepares me well for my job. No semester has been difficult for me, and all the subjects are very interesting.

Decent infrastructure, good faculty, good crowd and clean campus.
Placements: Our college provides a decent amount of placement and internship opportunities to all students. Around 25% of students get placed, 5 LPA is the highest package. There are no such big companies; college provides good roles for internship roles like assistant HR are offered.
Infrastructure: The college has clean washrooms, centralized Wi-Fi, good labs and classrooms, and also provides good food in the canteen. The sports room is well-equipped with gym machines for whoever is interested and has decent sports facilities. The canteen and campus are clean, and it's a green campus too.
Faculty: Teachers are good and qualified with good teaching skills. The course curriculum is relevant, and semester exams are pretty easy. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant, and semester exams are not that difficult; they are easy as a whole, and teachers are very helpful.
Other: I am interested in this course personally as it is related to the commerce field. I wish that practical implication of the course should be increased. The college organizes good events, fests, and has a decent crowd also. The college has good records in co-curricular activities.

    Not satisfied with the campus.
Placements: There are less companies for placement. Which also take 2 or 3 students and the highest package of 6 LPA. But you can do internships which you can get at the time of internship fair. You can do internships with your study and you will get Certificate and stipend for internship.
Infrastructure: The infra is good but there is very less space for sitting and less classes due to which you have to wait for your classes for more than 1 hour and there is no hostel in college you have to take PG near by. And there Wi-Fi connections are very weak but library is good.
Faculty: Most of teachers are good they help students and well educated and some teachers are from srcc and they tell there is just difference of crowd in North campus and south campus the crowd in North campus is more dedicated towards work and semester exams are easy.

    Knowledgeable professors .
Placements: Approximately 85-95% of candidates Learn B.Com (p). The highest package is 4L pa and the lowest package is 2L pa. From B.Com (p) students can go for CA CS and also for many top companies. 78-82% of the students got internship from this course and in KPMG company mostly. Top roles are Accountant, Commerce Professors, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is too good of RLAC. As there is Wi-Fi, labs for laboratory classes and computer subjects, systems are working above average, projectors in every course and subject classes, library is too amazing: availability of each and every book in library, library cards are there for every candidate. There is no hostel services in RLAC but if we talk about canteen then the food is mouth watering : Italian, Chinese, south indian, north indian, and much more. Even all with pocket friendly budget so each student can afford. Medical facilities are also there even for girls there is a separate room called 'girls common room'. Sports and gaming room is also there so that candidates can play and relax there mind for few hours.
Faculty: Teachers and professors are very helpful and knowledgeable. As the teaching quality is far better. This course make students industry ready as well without any doubt. Semester exams are not tough that much but yaa depend on University criteria as like internals, attendance, much more.
Other: I chose this course because I want to go in the field of Banking and Insurance. And B.Com is best course for that. I wish there could be some more subjects in B.Com (p) like insurance. Events and fests are organised by day by day through different societies. Campus crowd is also well and good and campus surroundings are also average like RLAC is connected with Aryabhatta through infrastructure. Extra curricular activities also held on weekly basis or daily basis.

I was satisfied with college as it offers good opportunity.
Placements: Around 60% of students were placed. The highest package was 6 LPA And the lowest was 2.4 LPA. Around 35% of students got placed in top companies. Few students were place in nestle and pwc. College offers great opportunities. Interview rounds was also good.
Infrastructure: College has good facilities. It has camera good library rooms to study canteen and good ground. Food in canteen was good. Also it has a medical room. College offer basketball ground. It also has a auditorium for big function. It also provide hostel facilities around the college .
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful in college and are very knowledgeable. Their style of teaching id amazing. They guide students at every steps. Course curriculum is average. They teach us subjects like Hindi core which I personally don't find much relevant for future. Semester exams were easy if we prepare well.

    Better than other campus colleges.
Placements: The recruitment cell does not work properly. Hardly any company comes to our college. The placement rate is low. But you can participate in various societies; they work pretty well and are engaging too. The internship is also low; the company really doesn't approach us. The placement cell is getting better now; students are working.
Infrastructure: The canteen is pretty decent. All varieties are available at a reasonable cost. Food is also hygienic. The library is also spacious. Books are easily available. It is also air-conditioned. Game opportunities are fewer. Ground is shared with Aryabhata and soil is not good to play.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. Some teachers were really great; they taught like school, provided notes, and helped solve practical questions and some were not that great and just gave lectures and nothing else. Assignments are easy and they give time for that.
