A Gentle Review by a College Student at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College.
Placements: I am from the 23 to 26 batch. I am still learning in RKMV College. In RKMVC, placement percentage changes on a yearly basis, but this year more than 50 students will be placed in any company because our college is conducting a course for placement. The lowest package is 15,000, the average package is 19,000, and the highest package is 23,000. Deloitte, TCS, and Pickyourtrail.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, lab, classroom, and library are available, but they are not easily accessible by students. Facilities are available mainly in the hostel. The quality of food is below neutral. RKMVC is very popular for sports players because, for the past 5 years, Sai Sudarshan has been playing for Tamil Nadu and the Indian team. All games and sports are available.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are well trained. Excellent quality teachers are available in RKMVC. Yes, the course is relevant to the curriculum. The semester exams are moderately difficult, and the passing percentage is 40% for 100 marks. If you want to get placed or work with a good salary, you can join this college.
Other: I am aspiring to be a CPA, which is why I chose this college.

The college will bring changes in your life.
Placements: Placements are good but the college does not have any cultural events. Academics and faculty are also good. Top companies like City Bank, Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. visit to hire. But it is hard to get into these companies. Even some small companies will come to hire.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure wise, the college is quite good. I don't know about the hostel facility. The classrooms are good and decent. The college does not have any technological infrastructure. The canteen is medium sized but the food is good. They don’t provide non vegetarian food.
Faculty: Faculty members are honest and they don't shown any partiality among the students. The course curriculum is relevant and related to commerce. In semester, the exams will be easy. The passing percentage is the same as that of the other colleges, 35 to 40 percent is enough.
Other: Currently B.Com has a high scope so I chose it as a foundation in my career. When it comes to this course, they can improvise by making students learn things through real life practicals like GST filing. The college does not have any cultural events organized.

Absolutely satisfied in education wise and also placement wise just awesome.
Placements: Placement in our college is just awesome. To my knowledge, more than 200 students got placed at reputed companies, and I got placed as well. It is one of the colleges in Chennai where big four companies like Deloitte, KPMG, and EY reach out to the placement cell for hiring students. In every company, there are fair packages for UG students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is a bit moderate compared to other colleges, but I have heard from some students that there will be some improvement in the infrastructure in the near future. The benches and chairs that are available are old, but there is a hygienic atmosphere on the college campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful and kind. They don't only shape you or enhance your skills and education but also mold you into a better person for society. Though some faculty members are strict, the majority are very cool and easily approachable. Especially, the papers present in the course meet international standards.
Other: There won't be any cultural events conducted in the college, but you are allowed to participate in inter-college events. A lot of international conferences will be conducted by Dr. V. Manikandan, HOD of B.Com A&F, in which students are also allowed to present papers.

This college is best for studies, improving knowledge, discipline, etc.
Placements: I opted for a B.Com. in accounting and finance. Around 87% of students from my department have been placed, including me. The highest package is 45,000 rupees per month and the lowest is 20,000 rupees. Deloitte, KPMG, L&T, etc. were the companies that came for placements. Almost every student from my college will get the opportunity to intern for at least a week. Accountants and auditor assistant managers are the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very neat, and the facilities are pretty good in the college; the Wi-Fi, lab rooms and library are maintained perfectly. The sports ground is small and pretty much decent for playing, and the medical facilities are top-notch. The canteen has free food and will be provided with the utmost hygiene.
Faculty: The curriculum is very good. The subjects are based on industry demand like IFRS, financial management, etc. The faculty members are amazing; they follow in-depth practical explanations for the students, which is very understandable. The difficulty is moderate and some subject might be interesting as well as difficult.
Other: The college is more focused on academics so there will not be any cultural or other fun programs for the students. Every student on campus must follow strict discipline, which helps them be productive in college as well as in society. The students learn a variety of moral values.

Fantastic college for academics. Also, placements at this college are very good.
Placements: The placements at this college are very good. The placement cell in the college will help students very much and they will help students improve their skill sets and knowledge by conducting orientation programs and workshops for them to crack their interviews. Good recruiters like TCS, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, CITI Bank, City Union Bank, and KPMG are on the placement boards. Step-powerboost programs will be conducted for the students in the 3rd year to attend the placements in a better way.
Infrastructure: The campus has different facilities but it is not very big. Good sports activities are conducted, like inter-departmental sports events, and the importance of sports is moderate as there is no proper court for minimal sports. As the campus is small, all the areas are always under surveillance. Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College has a hostel next to it where the students are staying till the end of their academics, only for students who are living very far from college and it is very near to the college, like right next to the college.
Faculty: The coordinators, head, and teaching faculty members in the course are highly qualified and skilled in teaching. Only in the B.Com. Accounting and Finance department are students provided with internships in audit firms and banks. Overall, a high level of education will be provided to students with discipline. The curriculum is very relevant to industry standards but we cannot gain hands-on experience as there is no industrial visit, etc. for helping the students.
Other: No events will be conducted, not even cultural events. Only the events that are necessary to the education of the students are conducted, like bringing people with high knowledge for orientation. It is one of the drawbacks of the college .

The college has the best placements every year and is the best place to gain knowledge.
Placements: For placements purpose, you should maintain above 65 percent. The packages were based on the skills of the students. The minimum package offered is 3 Lacs and the maximum is 6 Lacs. Top recruitment companies are Deloitte, KPMG, Bounteous, Natwest and other private banks. Usually, internships are offered in placements for the interested students, it’s not compulsory. Junior Accountant and business analyst roles are offered.
Infrastructure: A library is available for all the departments, we can even take the books home. The lab is maintained neat having all the resources available here. The classrooms are wider and have a good air circulation. Drinking water is available and the restrooms were maintained neat. For morning shift students, the afternoon meals were free.
Faculty: The Professors are highly knowledgeable. Their teaching methods are unique compared to others. They think out of the books. This course is a highly demanded course, here we can update ourselves and learn about the working places. The exams are not too difficult, if we attend the classes regularly, we can easily score good marks. The passing mark is 40.
Other: There are no cultural or events conducted in the college. There is a boys college. They give more preference to sports here. Sports day is conducted on a very grand scale. They allow the students to attend the other college events.
