A Gentle Review by a College Student at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College.

Placements: I am from the 23 to 26 batch. I am still learning in RKMV College. In RKMVC, placement percentage changes on a yearly basis, but this year more than 50 students will be placed in any company because our college is conducting a course for placement. The lowest package is 15,000, the average package is 19,000, and the highest package is 23,000. Deloitte, TCS, and Pickyourtrail.

The college will bring changes in your life.

Placements: Placements are good but the college does not have any cultural events. Academics and faculty are also good. Top companies like City Bank, Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. visit to hire. But it is hard to get into these companies. Even some small companies will come to hire.

Absolutely satisfied in education wise and also placement wise just awesome.

Placements: Placement in our college is just awesome. To my knowledge, more than 200 students got placed at reputed companies, and I got placed as well. It is one of the colleges in Chennai where big four companies like Deloitte, KPMG, and EY reach out to the placement cell for hiring students. In every company, there are fair packages for UG students.

This college is best for studies, improving knowledge, discipline, etc.

Placements: I opted for a B.Com. in accounting and finance. Around 87% of students from my department have been placed, including me. The highest package is 45,000 rupees per month and the lowest is 20,000 rupees. Deloitte, KPMG, L&T, etc. were the companies that came for placements. Almost every student from my college will get the opportunity to intern for at least a week. Accountants and auditor assistant managers are the top roles offered.

Fantastic college for academics. Also, placements at this college are very good.

Placements: The placements at this college are very good. The placement cell in the college will help students very much and they will help students improve their skill sets and knowledge by conducting orientation programs and workshops for them to crack their interviews. Good recruiters like TCS, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, CITI Bank, City Union Bank, and KPMG are on the placement boards. Step-powerboost programs will be conducted for the students in the 3rd year to attend the placements in a better way.

The college has the best placements every year and is the best place to gain knowledge.

Placements: For placements purpose, you should maintain above 65 percent. The packages were based on the skills of the students. The minimum package offered is 3 Lacs and the maximum is 6 Lacs. Top recruitment companies are Deloitte, KPMG, Bounteous, Natwest and other private banks. Usually, internships are offered in placements for the interested students, it’s not compulsory. Junior Accountant and business analyst roles are offered.

Absolutely, I am satisfied.

Placements: Very good placements, and the placement cell is doing great; we will achieve 100 percent placement. Very useful activities, like placement workshops, are provided by the management. Deloitte offered the highest package last time. Surely, you will see that placement.

You must join in our college.

Placements: I was an arrears student in 4th with 1 arrears because I was late to the examination hall and I passed out of 5th semester. After 6 months, I had to attend more than 3 interviews and be selected in 2 places, which happened in a walking interview but I wasn't selected but they taught me how to attend and select in interviews and I chose one IT company and I'm still working for 6 months as a business analyst now.

It is not a good college.

Placements: More reputed companies are recruiting students on campus. Students get placed in good companies depending on their performance in the interview. There are the big 4 companies that select limited candidates. Students willing to join the companies like HCL can apply for placements and get placed easily.

Good option overall if you are looking for a college to study arts and science.

Placements: Good placements. The college is one of the best when it comes to placement. The placements are increasing every year and the placement cell is well-equipped with students and teachers to help the students get placed. They encourage students to take part in placements.

Absolutely dissatisfied and disgusted with college's irrational ideologies rules and regulations.

Placements: The college provides decent placements with the Big 4. The maximum salary package for a B.Com graduate is up to 5 LPA. They give very less insights about placements and how to prepare for the placements. There were no recruitments for internships. We have to search for internships on our own.

Placements: More than 60% of students have been accepted into our college. I don't know any details about the salary package. More than 70% of students say it benefits their internship course. Top roles are offered by L & T and many other big companies. An internship is compulsory for all students in our department.

I am satisfied with this college because of its good experience.

Placements: Lots of good companies used to come for placements, but in the last few years, the percentage of placements has been reduced due to covid 19. After covid, there was a chance of getting 90% placements told by our headmaster. The top recruiting companies were Google, Facebook, HP, etc.

Vivekananda is a good college for students from the middle class.

Placements: There are placements at the end of your UG final year. More than 10 companies will come for placements, and they recruit 15 students each. In our department, five students were selected. Roles like HR-related jobs, software technicians, etc., are offered in our course. Companies like HCL, Wipro, and Svysoft recruit students from our college every year.

It is the top college in Chennai for the B.Com course with the best ambiance.

Placements: Placements in our college need to be improved. As very few students got placed and not many companies show on. They do not provide very high packages and only a few students got placed. Almost 605 of the students get placed. There should be more companies recruiting students.
