Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2018

There is no placement support, and there is bad infrastructure.
Placements: Placement support was not provided by our college. Students are expected to approach companies on their own. Before taking admission here, the teachers had promised us a lot that we get good jobs. But unfortunately, not even a single company had visited the campus. Internships are not a part of our course.
Infrastructure: Our college building is very old and has cracked walls, leakages, shortage of classrooms and seating arrangements. Even lighting arrangement and ventilation are not proper. Most of the computers in the labs are not in working condition. There is no ground or coaches for sports activities. The food served in the canteen is affordable.
Faculty: The teachers here mostly use a native language to conduct lectures. Most of them lack experiential knowledge, and none of them ever guided us on how to be prepared for future corporate roles. The course curriculum is at par with the guidelines of the university and other colleges. The exams have a passing percentage of 40% and are easy to pass by reading from textbooks.

I am disappointed with the lack of placement support.
Placements: The support is not provided by the college for the campus placement process. Not even a single company had visited the campus, and none of the students got placed here. An internship is not provided by the college. After completing graduation, the average salary package offered was 1 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. The building lacks proper lighting, ventilation, and even the seating arrangement is not proper. The college campus needs to be kept more hygienic. There is no sports ground facility. The library has a limited collection of books. They should add more collections of international journals too. The canteen services are affordable and clean. A first aid kit is available on the college premises.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is mostly limited to textbook learning. More modern methods like presentations and e-content should be added to make the learning process more effective. The course curriculum is at par with other colleges. Internships and industry visits should be added to the course curriculum. The pass percentage is 35%, and textbook learning is enough to clear the exams.

It does not provide placements support and infrastructure is not good.
Placements: Students were expected to reach out to the college themselves. No campus placements support were provided by this college. There was also no internships support provided by this college, and no efforts were taken to provide job opportunities to students.
Infrastructure: The classrooms were old-fashioned and had traditional blackboards. There were no whiteboards, no projectors for powerpoint presentations. Even the college building had cracks and leakages. The library had a very limited collection of books. Students were forced to purchase books from outside. There was no area available for sports activities. Gym khana fee was charged from students despite no arrangement for sports activities. The quality of food served in canteen facility was average and prices were affordable.
Faculty: Most of the teachers were educated, knowledgeable, and the teaching methodology was limited to textbook learning. They should discuss more case studies and role-playing exercises also. The course curriculum was as per this university standards, however, it does not make students industry-ready. Since students were not provided any practical exposure through industrial visits. The semester exams were easy to pass, and the passing percentage was 35%, and textbook learning was enough to clear the exams.

There are no campus placement opportunities for students.
Placements: The college doesn't provide any internship or placement support. The students are expected to reach out to the companies themselves. It was very disappointing on the part of the college as not even a single organisation had visited the campus. The college should have conducted some sessions on interview cracking skills and provided us with some industry exposure rather than only relying on bookish knowledge. Internships are not compulsory. However, in both years, students are expected to work with their research guides for the project work.
Infrastructure: Our lectures were mostly conducted in the evenings. The lighting facility is not up to the mark, and there are a lot of mosquitoes. The college building is very old, and there are cracks and leakages on the walls. The college infrastructure needs to be upgraded. The library has a very less collection of books, and we were forced to purchase books from outside. There is no provision of sports facilities. Canteen food is clean and affordable.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, knowledgeable and qualified. However, the teaching methodology used was traditional classroom teaching. They could include video learning and presentations as well. The course curriculum is basic. More seminars, internships, case studies and e-content should also be added to make the learning process interesting. The examinations are conducted semester-wise, and textbook learning is enough is clear the exams. The passing percentage is 40%.

I am not satisfied with its placements.
Placements: Students were expected to reach out to the companies themselves. Only a few sessions were conducted on how to crack an interview, future scope for competitive exam preparation, preparing a resume properly, etc., were conducted. Internships were not mandatory. The average package that the students can expect after pursuing this course was around 1 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college building was old and needs to be upgraded as the benches were worn out, and even some lights and fans were not working. Wi-Fi facility was not available. The library provides sufficient stock of textbooks. There was one computer laboratory however it cannot be accessed without permission. The canteen food served was hygienic and fairly priced. There was no playground or any other arrangement for sports activities.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable since they conduct a lot of doubt solving sessions and also use the native language. They should use more video content and discuss industry-related examples for better practical knowledge. The course curriculum was up to the mark, however, they can add internships also. The passing percentage was 35%, and textbook learning was enough to clear exams.

I am not satisfied with the placements provided here.
Placements: The placements offered in our college are not up to the mark. Students are expected to approach the companies on their own. The placement cell is not formally developed, and there is also not much interaction with the alumni. The average salary package offered is 1.25 LPA, and entry-level positions are offered. Our college should arrange internships by making tie-ups with organisations and should also arrange more industrial visits, seminars and conferences.
Infrastructure: There is one computer laboratory here, and it can be accessed only with prior permission. Wi-Fi facility is not available for students. The condition of the classrooms is not good as the benches are old, and some of the lights and fans are not in working condition. The food served in the canteen is affordable, but there are less varieties. There is no much area for sports activities, and there are no coaches.
Faculty: Some of the teachers here are helpful and qualified. But our college can invite more visiting faculty members who can provide us with real-life learning and expectations from the corporate world. The course curriculum is as per the standards though more industrial visits and case studies should be added for better impact. The semester exams are easy to pass, and the passing percentage is 35% of marks.
