Review of Ramthakur College.
Placements: The percentage of the students who got placed for this course in our college was approximately 80%. The average salary offered was around Rs.20000 per month. The percentage of students who got internships were 75%. They also joined so many platforms like Internshala, LinkedIn, Youth4work, etc.
Infrastructure: In our college, there were departmental libraries and also an additional reading room for the students. The capacity of the classroom was around 70 students. There were many facilities for NCC and NSS students at this college. The quality of the food provided by the college canteen was too good and healthy.
Faculty: The teachers of this department were very helpful and they were so humble. The course curriculum was too good because our professors and lecturers helped us to plan how to cover a particular topic at the right time. They always try to complete our syllabus before the exam. The semester exam at this college was neither too difficult nor too easy. The pass percentage was around 88%.
Other: Personally, I chose English (Hons.) because I enjoy reading literature. Through this course, we know about the past society and their experience and how they lead their life at that time. I think this course is versatile in it. Because we see the lifestyle of a normal person which is full of comedy and tragedy and also the reality of society and our life. So for me, these were the best things about our course. In this college, there were so many extra curriculum activities and sports had been organised like state-level seminars, teachers' day celebration, wall painting, inter-college volleyball championship, observance of international human rights day celebration, fresher's party, etc. There were also opportunities of getting scholarships. If you had scored 75-80% in your HS examination, then you can apply for the scholarships like Ishan Uday Scholarship. You will get Rs.50000 to 1 lakh.

It is a good college for students who like calm environment.
Placements: There were 54 students in our batch. Probably 20% of students got placed as teachers from our batch. Those who got placed are earning around Rs.20,000 rupees per month. Around 10% of students got the chance to be content writing interns. The top roles which were offered in this course are teachers and professors.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are good but need some improvements. There is a library where all books are available. The college has a reading room too where the students can read in peace. There are separate common rooms for boys and girls. The college does not have a hostel. There is a canteen too, and good quality food is available.
Faculty: We had two professors and they were both very good at mentoring us. They helped us in preparing an outline of our syllabus and helped us cover the whole syllabus in time. They were very precise at pointing out our weaknesses and the parts on which we should focus more on. The syllabus was very well structured. The semester exams were held on time, and they were moderately difficult. Over 100% of students passed out.
Other: The syllabus of this course is very perfect for the students of literature. Some modern fiction must be added to the course, and students must be taught creative writing. The college organised an NCC ranking ceremony, inter-college volleyball championship, and inter-college cricket matches. Each department celebrated their own teacher's day. Fresher's parties and farewell parties were organised by the college.

Absolutely satisfied with the college.
Placements: The total number of students placed in my course is 100. As our college is a government college, our college doesn't provide placements or any kind of package after our completion of the course. So, as I told you, our college is a government college so there are no placements on the college side.
Infrastructure: Our English department has the best faculty. Teachers are very helpful. Our college has Wi-Fi facilities, labs, classrooms and a library where we can go and study for our upcoming exams. Our college has hostel facilities but I stay in rented rooms so I don't know much about hostels. And our college has a canteen, medical facilities and a sports and games room too.
Faculty: Yes, the faculty teachers are very helpful, well qualified and knowledgeable as well. They have good teaching qualities. The secondary exams were normal, like if you study, it will be normal to you and if you don't study, it will be as hard as always, and the pass percentage is above 30 percent.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in my subject, English.
