Placements: For my batch pursuing B.A. in English at Ranaghat College, the placement scenario has been quite promising. Approximately 70% of students were successfully placed in various sectors. The highest package offered stood at INR 8 lacs per annum, while the lowest was around INR 3 lacs per annum, with an average package of INR 5 lacs. Top recruiting companies include Accenture, TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. Around 50% of students secured internships, with prominent companies like Hindustan Times, Penguin Random House, and Oxford University Press offering opportunities. The top roles offered were content writers, editors, language specialists, and communication executives.
Infrastructure: Ranaghat College provides commendable infrastructure for the B.A. English Department. Wi-Fi facilities are available across the campus, aiding research and project work. It is a good college for students to make their future bright.
Placements: More than 30% of students get placed in our college. The lowest salary is Rs.1500 per month and the highest salary is Rs.12,500 per month. Government sectors provide many recruitment offers. More than 35% of students get internships in our course. Teachers and civil servant roles are offered.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are average and seating quality is not good. Hostel room quality is good. Wi-Fi is provided at average speed. Labs are average. The library's condition is good. There is a good ground to play. The infrastructure of our college is good.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good. Teachers in our college are very friendly and taught very clearly. The course curriculum is not relevant. Semester exams are not difficult but include some hard questions. The pass percentage is 75% to 80%.
Other: I chose this course because I want to be a teacher. Our college should add more knowledge to improve the course. Social events are organised in our like fresher's party every year. Scholarships are provided.

Placements: B.A. Hons English graduates of our college often find themselves suited for careers in publishing, journalism, media, advertising, PR, education, and even business. Their strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and cultural awareness help them excel in various industries.
Infrastructure: The faculty members and infrastructure are available for this course. Labs, classrooms, and the library are available, and Wi-Fi is available. A canteen, medical facilities, and sports and games are available. The quality of canteen food is average.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is also good. This course curriculum is relevant, and it does make the students industry-ready. All the semester exams were quite hard, and the percentage of students who pass is 60%.
Other: It is a good course to choose for your future. This course makes you more confident and fluent in English. You get to know many new things about English literature. This course will help you to improve your writing and speaking skills in English. Different types of events, fests, campus crowd connectivity, campus surroundings, and extracurricular activities are held in this college.

It is an average college and needs more improvement.
Placements: It is an arts-based course. The college provides all courses. A huge amount of students get admission every year. Students get help and proper knowledge from teachers. After finishing the course, some students get a job, and many others prefer to study further.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, but some specific session needs to have improvements. Labs and library should be improved for students. Quality of food available in the canteen is good. Our college authority and students are interested in sports and games.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are quite helpful, and teachers are properly trained. They are qualified enough and try to teach students honestly. The course curriculum should be revised. Language and literature studies don't make students industry-ready.
Other: Students of our batch had an average percentage overall. Some of them have managed to get a job, and some are trying to get it. As I was fond of literature from my childhood, I always wanted to study literature, and I took admission in this college. The cultural sector is very good at this college. Students and authority organise fests, events and cultural programme together with great enthusiasm.
