Course Curriculum for B.E./B.Tech at Rayat Bahra, Hoshiarpur Campus

Based on the statements provided by students and alumni, here's a summary of the course curriculum:

    * Relevance: The course curriculum is considered relevant by some students, making them industry-ready.
    * Old curriculum: However, others mention that the curriculum is quite old and needs to be updated.
    * Teaching quality: Teachers are generally well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful, completing the whole semester syllabus within the given timeframe.
    * Focus on theory: Students feel that there is too much emphasis on theoretical studies, leaving little room for practical learning.
    * Curriculum structure: The course follows a structured format set by the university, with limited input from the college itself.
    * Passing semester exams: Passing semester exams can be challenging, requiring students to score at least 10/24 in internal and 24/60 in external exams.

Our college provides very good placements.
Placements: Around 80% of our batch students get placed in software companies with the highest salary package of 10 LPA. The lowest salary package is 3.37 LPA offered by TCS and the average salary package is 5 LPA. Top recruiters companies are Wipro, Bebo Technologies, Cloud Analogy, Teachnook, and All E Technologies. The roles offered are trainee developer, database developer, and software tester.
Infrastructure: Lab facilities are not much good. The quality of labs is improved.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and qualified with good degrees. They teach from depth but the course curriculum is bad. Passing semester exams is difficult.
Other: I chose this course as the country is becoming digital, so jobs in computer sector increase. More subjects should be added to be more beneficial.

It has a good campus life.
Placements: Around 50% of students get placed in companies which are average. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA and the lowest salary package is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Coca-Cola, Mahindra, Technoook, Extramarks, Webkul, Spectraforce, and many others. Many companies offer an average salary package of around 6 LPA to 12 LPA. Many institutional trainings are provided for students to get placed in top companies. Our institute helps every student to get placed.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in our college are good. Classrooms are well maintained. Wi-Fi speed is average which is 20 to 30 Mbps. Food quality served in mess is low. There are 2 to 3 canteens on campus. Many computers are not working in the lab. Our campus has a cricket ground and a football ground with much greenery on the campus. Medical facilities are available 24X7. An ambulance is provided by the management for emergency
Faculty: Teachers in our college are qualified and have good knowledge. The course curriculum is according to PTU. Semester exams are difficult. The pass percentage is 33%. PTU tries to fail students in every condition to get extra money from students.

The very good facility in college and good environment.
Placements: The percentage of students placed is a maximum of 75% or above, and placements are very good. The highest package is 15 Lacs, and the lowest is 3 Lacs. Very good companies select the students, offering internships and good salaries. It's a very well-regarded college.
Infrastructure: The college facilities are good, and the staff behave well with students. Wi-Fi is good and provides a proper connection. The classrooms are decent, but the fans are slow, and there is no AC in the classrooms. The library fans are also slow. The hostel facilities are bad, but sports are better.
Faculty: The college teachers are good and very knowledgeable. All teachers provide proper notes for students and behave well. The teaching is good, and the teachers are calm. However, they don't focus much on practical learning and mainly teach from books.

The college is good for local students.
Placements: Only one student of our batch got placed in some local company. Information about salary is not clear. Placements for civil students are not good. There are plenty of placements for computer science students. Placements management does not listen to students. They distribute the consent forms among students, but if some students say no to placements, they do not respect that decision. Instead, they start asking about the reasons. They force all students to attend different classes by saying it is good for them, but they never ask them whether they need these classes or not.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Mobile connectivity is bad, and Wi-Fi is not provided. The labs are not good, and no proper equipment is available for experiments. The computer labs have four or five desktops, running with one CPU. Labs are just decent.
Faculty: The teachers stick to the syllabus, and most of them are not able to finish it at the appropriate time. They are well qualified, and it is easy to pass the semester on your own. But teachers focus more on curriculum from the exam perspective.

The teaching quality is bad, and the management is poor.
Placements: Only 1% of students got placed in my batch. The highest package offered is 2-3 LPA. Few students got internships. The placement department of our college is poor.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. Wi-Fi is available. The labs are average. The classrooms are good, but only a maximum of 30-40 students can sit at a time. The library is good with all the books required for all semesters.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful. Some teachers are good, qualified and knowledgeable but not so good. The teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is average. It doesn't make students industry-ready. The semester exams are difficult. We need to get 10 marks out of 24 in internal and 24 out of 60 in external exams to pass.
Other: The teaching quality must be improved.

Very much satisfied with the infrastructure but practical implementation should be more.
Placements: Half of percentage students were placed in our college. Package starts from 1 Lacs per annum to 10-12 Lacs approximately. Top recruiting companies are wipro, and tcs. Generally we got internship in the Chandigarh based companies. Top roles in our course are software engineer, project manager, data scientist.
Infrastructure: All the infrastructure are good in our campus. Labs are well maintained and classrooms have the facility of projectors and our campus has enough no. of classrooms for students. Quality of the food is good in hostel and canteen. There are many other options available in our campus of sports and games. All these are of decent quality.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful even in the pandemic they worked really hard for the student betterment. The curriculum is not so really relevant as compared to what is running today in industry. The semester exams are quiet challenging but this is good for to level up the students.
Other: I chose information technology because I love computers and have decent amount of interest in coding and programing kind of things. I wish to improve some areas in my course is to be more practical and less theory work so that the students will focus more on practical work rather than stuck on the theory side. Other activities are also greatly maintained by our faculty. Many scholarship plans are available in our campus.
