Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2022

Overall, college life is poor.
Placements: Very few students got placed in our course. Mostly, jobs related to sales are offered, which is not worth the 3 years of learning. The packages offered are about Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000. Top companies were furniture and asset management companies, and the roles offered are sales executive etc. About 1% of students in the course were placed.
Infrastructure: The access is restricted. The library facilities are the best in the college. However, other facilities like canteen, medical and sports are very poor. One would have to go out of the college to avail decent facilities. Internet facilities are extremely restrictive.
Faculty: Some teachers teach really well, but some are not up to the mark. Their teaching quality is for the sake of completion of the syllabus. They all have degrees, but the quality of teaching is poor. I feel that even if they just gave us notes, it would not have made any difference.
Other: I chose B.Com due to many reasons. I wish they changed the course to voluntary instead of running an iron-tight fortress. The campus is too small. Extracurricular activities are conducted, but the coaches are least bothered. I wish there were internships for all students as part of the compulsory course.

The college provides all types of facilities and is excellent.
Placements: There are 60 students in the class. The highest salary offered is Rs. 50,000 per month. The average salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs.15,000 per month. Students got placed in Educational institutions, also got government jobs. Chattered accountant, business organisation, principal, etc., were the roles offered to students. The college also offers additional courses after two years of M.Com to become a teacher in RCCA.
Infrastructure: The college provides amenities like Wi-Fi, labs, classroom, library, seminar hall, smart board, smart TV, lightings, canteen, sports room. The quality is satisfying. The food available in the canteen is reasonable for anyone to buy it. Sports room is always opened for anyone to enter and play. Games like table tennis, volleyball, cricket, football, boxing, judo, cycling, athletics, taekwondo, etc., are available here.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. They can understand and make you understand if you didn't understand. They also help in solving the difficulties. The course curriculum is relevant, and it does make students industry-ready.
Other: I choose this course because I like commerce and the best thing about this course is the practical accounting problem, they are interesting.

I am dissatisfied with the rules and regulations of our college.
Placements: Placements in our college are good, but not that good as compared to outside Goa. There is a placement cell, and students are trained and groomed well to face interviews. The salary package that students get after their campus placements is not up to expectations. But it is okay for a college in Goa.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not that much satisfying as shown in college prospectus and college website. The college rank 63 on India today ranking and It is a reaccredited A grade college by NAAC. But still, the students here aren't satisfied. The canteen facilities are completely hopeless. There is no space at all, and during the break, the canteen gets overcrowded. There is no separate service counter for veg and non-veg food. Same persons serve both veg and non-veg items with uncovered hands. It is horrible for vegetarian people.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are quiet satisfying. Teachers are friendly to deal with students. I have no complaints against them. The course curriculum is as prescribed by Goa University, and it is taught well in the college. The worst part of the staff is the principal. The students are unhappy because of their strict and autocratic behaviour. There is no freedom.
Other: There are no events and college fests organised here. There is no chance for students to celebrate any events. Only events like quiz, dance, singing competition are conducted like some primary school events. There is enjoyment. The campus is like a jail. The students aren't allowed to enter and leave the college premises as with convenience. The gate is locked, during the college hours. The college area is very small. Even schools have a much bigger area.

RCCA is the best commerce college in South Goa.
Placements: Placements in our college were decent enough. Since students opted to pursue higher studies, placements were comparatively lesser than other colleges around. The college offers courses in Tally and UPSC preparation. They also guide you on how to attend the interviews and how to make a resume, etc. Overall, choose this college if you are sure of pursuing higher studies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good with old-style architecture. The library has more than one lakh books both online and offline. The college has a tie-up with other top-ranking institutions where we could access their libraries virtually. A secured parking and a clean and hygienic canteen are also available.
Faculty: Faculty members of B.Com were excellent in all the six semesters. Our college follows the syllabus prescribed by Goa University. Students have opportunities to develop their skills and personality in various events hosted by our college and other colleges. Rosary has a compulsory value education subject taught irrespective of the stream you choose.

Other: College is good with regards cleanliness, discipline, facilities provided. Teachers are awesome, ready to explain 100 times the same topic. Encourage students in participation whether it is college level, state level or national level. Has been ranked 1st in sports for consecutive 3 years. Reaccredited by NAAC A+
