Rit a good college with great placement opportunities.
Placements: There are 35% students were placed in our course from our college. The highest package offered was 2.8 Lacs per annum and the lowest package offered was 2.2 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies from our course are Jindal steel, Nalco Pvt Ltd.
Infrastructure: The library was the best place where we have many books to grab from the library and it's a clean place. Classrooms are average and are very spacious but not well furnished. There is no Wi-Fi covered area in our college. The facilities of the hostel are also average. The quality of the food in the canteen was very bad here.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are very helpful to us and are very well qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was also very good here. Yes the course curriculum was relevant and yes it's does make students industry ready for the future. The semester exams are very hard to pass and the pass percentage was 40%.
Other: I chose the course because I am good at electrical and very curious to study and know about electrical and circuit things from an early age. The classrooms need to be furnished well. There are few extracurricular activities like volleyball tournament and football tournament take place in every winter season here.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2018

It is the oldest college for Diploma in Rourkela.
Placements: Above 60% of students are from mechanical engineering of our batch. The lowest package offered to me was 1.6 LPA, and the highest package I received was 1.9 LPA. The top recruiting companies that came to our college were Jindal Steel Pvt. Ltd., Nalco and Bhushan Steel. About 45% of students got internships from our batch.
Infrastructure: The campus is pretty bad and dirty. There is no Wi-Fi on the whole campus. The condition of the classrooms is very bad, as they are not well-furnished and are dirty. The library is decent, but the labs are below average. The food was not acceptable in the canteen.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, well qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is excellent, and they clear all our doubts without hesitation. The course curriculum is relevant and makes almost every student industry-ready for a bright future.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because it's a not-so-hard course for me as my father was also in mechanical engineering in his time. Events and fests were very rare in our college.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2018

A college with the best teaching quality but lacks infrastructure.
Placements: Our electrical branch has 30% of placements. The lowest package offered is 1.3 Lacs per annum, and the highest package offered is 2.8 Lacs per annum. Top-recruiting companies are Vedant, Bhusan Steel, Nalco, L&T etc. Around 70% of the students got internships in L&T and Bhusan Steel. I got a role of a head boy in the final year.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure in our college are below average, and the same goes with labs and classrooms, but the library was good. There is no Wi-Fi on the whole campus. Facilities in the hostel are below average. The quality of food and environment are below average. There are no medical facilities at all, and in the first year, we have some sports competitions like cricket, football, volleyball, but in the 2nd and 3rd years, we don't have any co-curricular activities.
Faculty: Despite the college or facilities, our teachers are very helpful, well qualified and very knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is pretty well. Our course curriculum is relevant, and 80% of the students were industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in electrical engineering as my father was from the same background. The best thing of our course is circuits which I love the most. The course was good enough, and it doesn't need to improve.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2020

The college is not value for money.
Placements: It's a private institute, and you need 60% or above in your board exams for allotting. There are 50 to 60 seats for every branch. The fee is 55,000 per student for mechanical, electrical and civil branches, and 35,000 per student for other branches like electronics, computer science etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not well-maintained, and there is no Wi-Fi. You can use your smartphone data. There's a library, and you can rent the books related to your course for the money. Classrooms are not clean, and the institute is surrounded by plants, so there's always dust everywhere. Every branch has its own practical labs. The hostel is not good.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and encouraging. But for some issues, classes were not going well. But now, it's all set. 35% is the pass percentage. Semester exams depend on your preparation. But you can't just rely on institute classes, you have to take coaching classes.

I think in my opinion, my college is very good as compared to other colleges.
Placements: The highest package offered is 40,000, whereas the lowest was Rs 12000 and the average is Rs 20,000 to 25,000 approximately. Top company in my opinion is Tata and 80% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The facility was fantastic and the classrooms were very good and clean. The library was awesome and the Wi-Fi was very fast. I liked the internet connection. The labs are awesome.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very good as they cleared all our doubts without any hesitation. Yes, this course makes the students ready for industrialization without any doubt.
Other: Because I like to be an electrician, I chose this course. Things like I think college should give us more facility to do practical knowledge theory knowledge was not enough for us.
