Review of RUHS College of Dental Science, Jaipur.
Placements: Very few students get placements after passing and even if they get placed, the salary package offered is too low. Internships are provided at the college level only and interns are provided with stipends. But the externs there don't get stipends instead they have to pay some amount to get an internship done in our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is too old and poor. There is a lack of basic facilities. There are no canteen facilities and other basic things. Hostel doesn't have much capacity to accommodate all students. There is no water cooler for the hostelite. Air-conditioning in a few of the lecture theatres is also poor.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified and experienced professionals. Few teaching staff members teach quite well and par excellence and few members lack knowledge and experience. Semester examinations are quite difficult for students and hard work is needed on their behalf. Few students don't pass easily.
Other: It would be better if care is taken for the surrounding area and basic infrastructure of the college and other activities apart from academics. Teachers need to upgrade themselves with the upcoming trend.

It has poor infrastructure and the worst faculty members. It leaves you jobless.
Placements: Only 5% of the students get placement. The salary package offered depends on the sector, whether it is a private setup or a government job. Jobs are few in this field, i.e., dentistry, and only a few students get government jobs. The salary package offered is quite low, and it is not more than the salary that ranges from Rs. 10,000-15,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite old and not up to the mark. There are fans and lights which do not work. The washrooms are in very bad condition. For repair of damages and other materials we require for study and practicals, we have to contribute money and get it done. In the hostel, rooms are the worst with no facilities, and repairs have to be done with our own money. In the first year, it makes you stay in one common room for 25 students, and it is very congested. The food served is the worst, and sometimes there is no food available.
Faculty: Few teachers in our college are good, and few of them do not even care to even come and take classes. As it is a government college, we have to study on our own. Some teachers teach very well and are concerned about us. Semester exams are quite tough. About 60% of students pass the exams.
Other: I have chosen this course because, at my NEET score, all the government medical colleges got full, so the only option left for me is to do BDS from government college. There is only one government dental college in my state, i.e., Rajasthan. The infrastructure could have been better with better facilities. Job opportunities in the government sector should be made available to the students. Events are organised yearly and are arranged by the students union themselves. Our college does not conduct extracurricular activities.

A student's insight to a dental college.
Placements: RUHS college of dental is a government dental college. No medical or dental college provides any recruitments just after the undergraduation. After graduation students appear for post graduate entrance examination. Students can also appear for other exams conducted at different times to get a job.
Infrastructure: Our college has lecture theatre where classes are held. Hospital has 10 departments with dental chairs in every department. Infrastructure is not so good. You can see broken dental chairs which are almost never repaired inspite of being a government college and a large amount of funds allotted.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified and well trained doctors. Almost all teachers are helpful and are ready to solve our doubts. Teaching quality is good. Curriculum is definitely relevant and it absolutely make students industry ready, students also take keen interest.
Other: I chose this course because I've always wanted to become a doctor, and the field of dentistry has always been ignored by people and there is a need for people to be acknowledged about the oral importance. Every year cultural festival is held at our college.
