Placements: I am currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) programme at my college, affiliated with Punjab University Patiala. My batch has over 130 students. Although the college does not directly offer placements, around 50% of students from previous batches secured jobs, with packages ranging from Rs. 3 to 6 Lacs per annum, averaging Rs. 4.5 Lacs. Placements: The placement is not up to the mark. Only 2-3 % got placement, others have to join local firms. The highest package offered was 4 lakhs per annum. Top recruitment was from Amazon, Airtel etc. The average package offered is 2 lakhs. The roles offered are for accounting and taxation assistance.
