Q:   Is Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Government College good for B.Sc.?

    A:
    {Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    * Good infrastructure: The college has well-maintained classrooms, laboratories, and a spacious campus.
    * Knowledgeable teachers: Most reviewers agree that the faculty members are well-qualified and knowledgeable in their respective fields.
    * Liberal arts focus: Since it's an academic-focused course, the college may not prioritize industry-readiness, but it provides a solid foundation for future studies.
    * Placements: Although limited, some students have reported receiving job offers, although mostly in academia or government sectors.

    Cons:

    * Limited industry relevance: Some students feel that the course curriculum doesn't prepare them adequately for the workforce.
    * Few internship opportunities: Reviewers mentioned that there aren't many internship opportunities available within the college.
    * Easy exams: While some reviewers appreciated the ease of exams, others felt that it wasn't challenging enough.
    * Placement rates: Despite efforts to improve, placement rates remain relatively low compared to other institutions.
    * Limited resources: As a government-funded institution, the college faces limitations in terms of resources and funding.

Overall, while the college has its strengths, particularly in terms of infrastructure and faculty, the lack of emphasis on industry-readiness and limited placement opportunities might deter some students. However, for those interested in liberal arts and academic pursuits, this college could still be a viable option.

Course Curriculum Structure for B.Sc. at Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Government College

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's an overview of the course curriculum structure for B.Sc. at Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Government College:

    * Subjects: The college offers a range of subjects under the B.Sc. program, including mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology.
    * Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable in their respective subjects, with many holding Ph.D.s.
    * Teaching Style: The teaching style is traditional, with lectures and practical sessions conducted regularly.
    * Curriculum Relevance: While some students feel that the course curriculum is relevant and prepares them for the industry, others believe it is outdated and needs improvement.
    * Semester Exams: The college conducts semester exams, which are considered moderate to challenging. However, students generally report that the exams are manageable with adequate preparation.
    * Pass Percentage: The pass percentage varies across semesters, ranging from 33% to 60%.
    * Placement Opportunities: Unfortunately, the college does not offer placements, and students need to rely on self-study and research for future opportunities.

It's worth noting that the college emphasizes theoretical knowledge over practical skills, which may impact the employability of graduates. Additionally, the lack of industry exposure and placements might limit the career prospects for students. However, the college's focus on academic excellence and strong faculty-student relationships remain key strengths.

I am not satisfied with this course.
Placements: Almost 50% of students got placed in this course. The highest salary package offered was around 15 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata, ITC, etc. Almost 40% of students got internships in this course. Top role offered is data analyst.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent. Classrooms are well-maintained. Chemistry laboratory and Physics laboratory are available. Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Hostel facilities are excellent. Mess is also available. Canteen is decent. Sports are conducted in this college.
Faculty: All teachers are punctual. Faculty members are knowledgeable and qualified. The course curriculum is average so it does not make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are very difficult. We have to study hard to score good marks. The pass percentage is 35%.
Other: The best thing about this college is its infrastructure. This course should be better to make students ready for the industry.

It is a good college with very good infrastructure and sports facilities.
Placements: Placements are not provided in our college for B.Sc. students but they are prepared for some government exams.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. It is an old college but good. Classrooms are not air-conditioned as it is a government college. Library is good. Wi-Fi is not available. Sports are very good. Food served in the canteen is average.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and well qualified with Ph.D. They have very good knowledge. The course curriculum is relevant. Exams are not hard to pass. Students have to study a bit hard to easily pass the exams.
Other: I chose this course because it would provide multiple opportunities after graduation.

The largest college in East India.
Placements: Nothing, but one can study for competitive exams side by side while pursuing this degree course. Just like I am preparing for SSC and banking exams, there are placement offerings, but they are very few in number, so it is not such a good course as it is not a technical course but an academic one.
Infrastructure: The hostel is only available for girls, and sports facilities are available. All types of sports are present, with a huge ground gym also there for everyone, and a student with a valid ID card from the college can go to the gym daily. An indoor stadium is also present for badminton.
Faculty: Teachers do not teach as it is a government college. All there is is a political agenda on student politics. This course doesn't make students industry-ready. Exams are easy; you can easily write the paper if you just study 1 week before the exam and can attain 1st division easily.

This is a government college, so the fee is very low, but the facilities are good.
Placements: The placement rate is different for different courses in college. I am from B.Sc. Maths, and I got 80% in 12th. At that time in 2019, the cut-off for the general category was approximately 72-73%.
Infrastructure: I'm a science student, so the science department is really appreciable in our college. The campus is neat, and cleanliness in Physics and Chemistry labs is awesome. Hostels are also pretty good. Food quality is below average, but once a week, there is a special food item.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. I don't think this course makes students industry-ready because this is just a degree. If you do Masters in this course, then surely you get it. Semester exams are difficult for those who didn't study whole year.
Other: I want to do Masters in Physics, that's why I had to do B.Sc. In the whole semester, there are 1 to 2 events only.

It is the hub for knowledge and wisdom.
Infrastructure: For a government college, we don't get good infrastructure, but for a minimal fee, like Rs. 1000 per year, we can't expect infrastructure like that of IITs or NIT colleges. It is not that bad, but we also can't compare it with other colleges.
Faculty: We have excellent professors, but because of the work of scholarship and exam duties assigned to them these days, they are unable to take classes, but they give their all whenever they do take classes. To enter the teaching field, one must complete their education at a government college. Teachers help students prepare for exams, and the curriculum is good, but it's not easy to get a good percentage. One has to work hard and one can easily get what he wants, but without hard work, it's impossible to survive in this college, so work hard and do your best.

It is one of the best government colleges in Rajasthan, and I recommend this college to everyone.
Placements: Mass recruiting and also dream companies visit our college for recruitment. The average salary offered is around 4 LPA. A new branch was recently started (AI), which is going to offer placements in the data analytics domain. It is the best college ever.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The facilities such as laboratories, libraries, a sports center, and a hostel for boys are available. The campus is clean. Hygienic food is available. Libraries have a good collection of books. It is a technologically adapted campus. The campus has a wireless network. I love this college.
Faculty: The curriculum is in pace with the industry. Apart from online classes, we are given hands-on training to make us industry-ready. We also have weekly programs for advanced learning. All the faculty are awesome. The teachers are the best.
Other: The college is perfect for academics and extracurricular activities. The faculty are very well-educated and helpful. One can get admission to this college after 12th. The college has an updated curriculum. It is one of the best colleges in Rajasthan.
