Q:   Is Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Government College good for B.Sc.?

A:
{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:

* Good infrastructure: The college has well-maintained classrooms, laboratories, and a spacious campus.
* Knowledgeable teachers: Most reviewers agree that the faculty members are well-qualified and knowledgeable in their respective fields.
* Liberal arts focus: Since it's an academic-focused course, the college may not prioritize industry-readiness, but it provides a solid foundation for future studies.
* Placements: Although limited, some students have reported receiving job offers, although mostly in academia or government sectors.

Cons:

* Limited industry relevance: Some students feel that the course curriculum doesn't prepare them adequately for the workforce.
* Few internship opportunities: Reviewers mentioned that there aren't many internship opportunities available within the college.
* Easy exams: While some reviewers appreciated the ease of exams, others felt that it wasn't challenging enough.
* Placement rates: Despite efforts to improve, placement rates remain relatively low compared to other institutions.
* Limited resources: As a government-funded institution, the college faces limitations in terms of resources and funding.

Overall, while the college has its strengths, particularly in terms of infrastructure and faculty, the lack of emphasis on industry-readiness and limited placement opportunities might deter some students. However, for those interested in liberal arts and academic pursuits, this college could still be a viable option.

I am not satisfied with this course.
Placements: Almost 50% of students got placed in this course. The highest salary package offered was around 15 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata, ITC, etc. Almost 40% of students got internships in this course. Top role offered is data analyst.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent. Classrooms are well-maintained. Chemistry laboratory and Physics laboratory are available. Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Hostel facilities are excellent. Mess is also available. Canteen is decent. Sports are conducted in this college.
Faculty: All teachers are punctual. Faculty members are knowledgeable and qualified. The course curriculum is average so it does not make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are very difficult. We have to study hard to score good marks. The pass percentage is 35%.
Other: The best thing about this college is its infrastructure. This course should be better to make students ready for the industry.

The largest college in East India.
Placements: Nothing, but one can study for competitive exams side by side while pursuing this degree course. Just like I am preparing for SSC and banking exams, there are placement offerings, but they are very few in number, so it is not such a good course as it is not a technical course but an academic one.
Infrastructure: The hostel is only available for girls, and sports facilities are available. All types of sports are present, with a huge ground gym also there for everyone, and a student with a valid ID card from the college can go to the gym daily. An indoor stadium is also present for badminton.
Faculty: Teachers do not teach as it is a government college. All there is is a political agenda on student politics. This course doesn't make students industry-ready. Exams are easy; you can easily write the paper if you just study 1 week before the exam and can attain 1st division easily.

Our college provides good facilities and has good environment.
Placements: Most of the students score above the average marks. The average salary package offered ranges between 5 LPA - 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are mostly banking sectors like ICICI Bank, SBI Bank, etc. Many students got internships in this course. Top roles are offered in accounting and finance sectors.
Infrastructure: Our college is very beautiful. Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The infrastructure is great. There are different practical rooms for every course. There is a huge library on our campus and several books are available. There are 3 big halls in this college. It also has chairs and tables. Our campus has peaceful environment. The food quality is good. Sports are conducted in this college. There is a big playground on our campus.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and friendly. They always clarify our doubts. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are easy. If we study well, we can score good marks. The passing percentage is 37%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. A little bit of upgrade is required in the finance sector. Events are conducted. Extracurricular activities are also organised such as dancing, singing, etc. Sports tournaments are held in this college. It is a very good college.

I was very satisfied with my overall faculty, whether it were teachers or the library faculty.
Placements: Around 70% of students got placed in our batch. The highest package offered was INR 20 lacs per annum, and the lowest was INR 10 lacs per annum. The best recruiting companies were ExtraMarks, Byjus, and Aakash. Around 80% of students got internships in byju's or extracurriculars as an accountant or cashier.
Infrastructure: We had the infrastructure for our course. Our library also got a good infrastructure, and the labs were also constructed so well. The Wi-Fi was so good, and the speed of the internet was also very high. The canteen in charge was also so good. Sports and games were also conducted from time to time.
Faculty: We had the best teachers in the college. They were highly knowledgeable, and the teaching quality was also very good. Yes, our students were made industry-ready with the curriculum our college had. Our exams were also not so difficult. I got 60 percent in my final exams.

Affordability with quality .
Placements: Well, this government college does not provide any placement in Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.) or Masters in Science (M.Sc.). But yes, placements are held in other courses, like in M.Com., where several companies arrived at the campus to recruit freshers. The students placed are nearly dependent on their personalities and knowledge.
Infrastructure: The college has all the facilities, like a table with Wi-Fi connection all over the college range, a laboratory for essential course subjects with needed facilities, classrooms, a library with all books and other stuff of many genres. GCA has a girls hostel and the quality of food in the mess and canteen is quite good. Medical first aid facilities are available in every department. This college is highly active in sports, games and other co-curricular activities. Periodically, game competitions are held.
Faculty: The teachers here are mostly highly qualified and helpful. The teaching quality is also good but self-awareness is needed because teachers are slightly strict while they are teaching any subject. The semester exams are definitely neither too difficult nor too easy; their toughness is between hard and easy. The passing percentage in the semester exam is 40 percent.
Other: The best part is that the cost of every course in this government college is between INR 2,000 and 3,000 per year. It is very cheap because of the quality of the materials. This fee is only for day scholars.
